Sustainability reporting in Sweden is a voluntary disclosure action for non-governmental companies. Since 2009 all state-owned companies must however publish a sustainability report according to GRI guidelines and with independent assurance statement. Three different sustainability reporting methods are primarily used: (1) Separate Sustainability Report, (2) Sustainability Report included in the Directors? Report, and (3) Sustainability Report forming part of the Printed Annual Report. The aim of this paper is to explore why some companies choose to publish a sustainability report and identify the motivational factors behind this decision, as well as attain an understanding for companies? choice of reporting method.

Invandringen sker i Sverige i allt större utsträckning, och till följd av det ställs högre krav på den transkulturella omvårdnaden. Nya krav ställs på vårdpersonalen i deras arbete. Med detta som grund utformades studiens syfte, som var att genom en litteraturstudie belysa patienters upplevelser och uppfattning av sjukdom och hälsa relaterad till deras kultur, samt vad som kan göras för att förbättra vården utifrån deras kulturella bakgrund. I resultatet visas att kulturella värderingar är de mest framträdande faktorerna som påverkar patientens uppfattning om sin hälsa och sjukdom. Sammanfattning Mitt syfte var att undersöka elever och lärares inställning och uppfattning om utomhuspedagogik i en mångkulturell skola. Jag har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning och satt mig in i forskning om utomhuspedagogik och intervjuat elever och en lärare som arbetat med utomhuspedagogik under några år om deras tankar om att lära utomhus. Både lärare och elever var väldigt positiva till utomhuspedagogik och uppfattade det som lättare att koncentrera sig och fokusera på lärandet när de var utomhus och hade lektioner. Läraren jag intervjuade betonade att det var viktigt att det fanns en röd tråd genom all undervisning och att de arbetade språkutvecklande när de var utomhus eftersom eleverna i klassen var ganska språksvaga. Eleverna önskade mer utomhuspedagogik och läraren ville ha mer stöd av kollegor i sitt arbete för en optimal utveckling av utomhuspedagogik i en mångkulturell skola..

The purpose of this essay is to examine how officials within the Swedish public libraryorganisation view the IT-development, how the IT-development progresses within theorganisation and if there is a need for a national IT-strategy for the public libraries in Sweden.Four unorganized interviews with officials within the regional- and county libraryorganisation and one within the national organisation where conducted. This study is aqualitative examination where the phenomenographic approach has been used as inspirationfor the analytic model. The analytic result has been compared to the system theory of how anoptimal system should be constructed to perform in an optimal way and to be able to producegood results. The results of this study show a wish for a better national cooperation regardingthe IT-development for the Swedish public libraries. Det övergripande syftet för denna studie är att söka svar på vad som motiverar elever till lärande samt vad som påverkar elevers motivation. Dessutom syftar studien till att ge kunskap om lärares motivationsarbete.Studien innehåller en litteraturdel samt en kvalitativ och en kvantitiativ studie i form av tre intervjuer med lärare samt två med speciallärare och 48 elevers svar på en enkät.Resultatet av intervjuerna visar på att det är viktigt med ett samarbete mellan föräldrar och skolpersonal för att uppnå optimal motivation bland eleverna samt att de känner sig trygga i skolan.Resultatet av enkäterna tyder på att många av eleverna går till skolan för att de anser att kunskapen är till nytta för framtida studier men även utanför skolan..

The objective of this thesis was to present a design proposal on a modular mechanicalstructure for a nanosatellite. The size of the structure should follow the CubeSatstandards. This standard divides satellites in units (U), where 1U is equivalent to acube where sides measure 100 mm. 2U corresponds to the same volume and size as2 assembled 1U structures, and so on. The focus was to develop a structure in theorder of 3U and 6U.At the integration in the satellite launch rocket, there are a couple of differentinterfaces, where the structure is adapted to common ones; P-POD and CSD.

The quality of bread wheat is a large subject to study. The quality rests on two legs. The first one is the inheritance of specific characters, which can be influenced through plant breeding and type of cultivar. The other one is the environmental influences, such as crop rotation, nutrition, harvest and storage. The latter factors are possibly to affect through cultivation practices, while other factors are not possible to influence on for the grower, such as seasonal changes of weather and the soil content.

AbstractA tourism genre that has developed in recent years is the nautical tourism, nautical tourism is described as a tourism genre that includes all activities in relation to water. Croatia is one country that has invested in and has good presumption for this type of tourism, and has also received an international recognition as a top destination within the nautical tourism genre. The purpose with this thesis is to increase knowledge about the nautical tourism development in Croatia, and to see if it would be possible to develop on Swedish conditions. Sweden is a destination with a large number of archipelagos, located in both inland lakes and along coastal areas. Stockholm archipelago is one of the world's largest archipelagos which has a long tradition as a tourist destination.

Syftet med denna studie var att få fördjupad kunskap om hur vuxna kvinnor och män med hiv/aids uppger att de upplever sin livskvalitet. Metoden är en litteraturstudie, enligt Polit et al (2001) och baseras på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet visade att fysiska faktorer var de som betonades mest men att det var de emotionella faktorerna som påverkade individen mest för upplevande av livskvalitet. Faktorer som äktenskap, sjukdomsgrad, inkomst, arbete och även utbildning är andra faktorer som påverkar livskvaliteten hos hiv/aidssjuka. Målet med litteraturstudien är att förmedla kunskap för att kunna medverka till en optimal vård till personer med hiv/aids.

The Swedish cooperative Lantmännen Ekonomiska Förening has initiated a project labelled "Operation Blåljus" that includes an extensive program for closing down elevators. The number of elevators will be reduced from 92 to approximately 15 after harvest of 2007. The objective of Blåljus is to increase the price of grain with 10 öre/kg. A project has been initiated at the Lantmännen Grain division where the purpose is to provide the farmers with support in their decisions and practical advice how they can load a 35 ton grain truck on 30 minutes. The result from the project will serve as a support system to the farmer in his ambition to achieve cost efficient systems to load a truck with grain on the farm.

SecRePac is a household appliance that simplifies sorting of packaging such as milk, juice and yogurt containers. By shredding the packages SecRePac reduces its volume uptake both in the home and at the recycling station. This leads to minimization of both transports to the recycling stations and truck transport for emptying the containers at the recycling station.The greenhouse effect deteriorates and becomes worse and worse leading to extreme climate changes and natural disasters such as floods as an example. Carbon dioxide emissions are the major reason for this and at least 30 percent of all these emissions come directly from transports. In the EU carbon emissions has decreased in the past few years.

My intention with this study is to evaluate, as a singer and a voice teacher, a number of routines for daily vocal practice through practical application. Seven different routines are presented, five of them originating from interviews with Swedish vocal teachers and singers and two chosen from literature. These routines are then tried out and evaluated. Using the results of these evaluations as a basis, I make an attempt at formulating my own personal practice routine, optimal for my own needs. I will also try to address motivational issues related to practice with hints acquired through the interviews.

 Genotyping can be used to link genetic variation among individuals to certain diseases or conditions. Some known disorders and states that are dependent on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) are lactose intolerance, venous thrombosis, hereditary hemochromatosis and the difference in sensibility among people to metabolise drugs.In this project a new kit, TaqManÒ Sample-to-SNP KitÔ for extraction of DNA and preparation of the extract for genotyping with real-time PCR and allelic discrimination, was evaluated. QIAamp® DNA Blood Biorobot® MDx Kit was used as the reference method.The purpose of the comparison was to find a method that makes DNA extraction from blood samples cheaper and faster, but with the same reliability as the reference procedure.The results of the evaluation showed a complete agreement of the genotype results between the methods tested, which means that the new method was as reliable as the reference method. The costs of reagents and material would be reduced with 52% if the new method is adopted, that alone would result in a cost reduction of 144 000SEK a year with a sample volume of 650 samples/month. The time for DNA extraction would also be reduced with the new procedure. .

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the productivity effects of multiple tree handling in thinnings. Other important elements have been to investigate in which extent multi-tree handling is used in stands with different stem volumes and the impact of collecting partially delimbed fuelwood assortments has on harvesting performance. The study is based on data from thinnings in Sydved and contractors' operating activities. Collection and compilation of operating schedules, number of stems and surveyed volumes from several contractors and a large number of executed orders underlying the results. Multiple tree handling is used to a much greater extent at lower average stem volumes. Prediction models for productivity of the multiple-tree handling harvesters in the study differ from the productivity models for single-tree handling. In the model developed in this study productivity is not as dependent of stem volume as reference models.

In many of the world's countries, there is a national organization responsible for marketingthat country as a tourist destination. Through their offices, these organizations work towardsthe creation of effective strategies and a deeper understanding of local markets. Usingqualitative methods such as interviews, observations, and thematic analysis, we managed toinvestigate how the Czech and the German national tourist offices operate, and whatstrategies they are implementing to increase the volume of tourism. The study focused on theanalysis and comparison of the organizations' goals and communication channels.The results show that the investigated tourist boards operate in a similar manner with smalldifferences concerning choice of strategies and communication channels. These discrepanciescan be partly explained by differences in the organization's ownership forms and theconsequences that follow that fact.
