Since the early 1940s in Sweden, subsidies have been a recurring feature in housing politics.Throughout history, these have been used as a management measure to control theconstruction of housing and to promote the Swedish welfare state. The political parties aretoday disagreeing on how much responsibility the state should carry for citizens housing. Tosolve the conflict, the dwelling has to be defined. Is the dwelling to be considered a socialright, like education and healthcare or is the dwelling to be considered a product for the freemarket, driven by supply and demand?The positive population growth in Stockholm has lead to an increased demand for dwellings.The supply of dwellings has not been growing at the same rate, which has implied higherhousing prices and longer wait for rented apartments.

The competition policy in the EU should guarantee that the competition is not distorted in the way that would prevent or create difficulties for the free mobility of goods and services between Member states. It is prohibited for companies to abuse their dominant position according to Article 82, if it affects trade. The essence of Article 82 is control of market power. The perfect competition results when supply and demand appoint the price and quantity of a product. Firms are encouraged to compete then it results in efficiency, quality products and lower prices.

The prevailing food and energy crisis of the world, due to the declining reserves of fossil energy and a never ending rise of consumption, forces us to look into new fields to supply our energy demand. The boom of bio energy is criticized, as food crops are used to provide biodiesel and ethanol and the volumes are ridiculously small to supply world demand. Algae are one of the world?s oldest life forms and exist in many different phyla, providing a great variety to choose from, for different purposes. Cultivating microalgae offer a way to produce energy at great volumes without competing with food production and at the same time the algae offer a way to use our expensive nutrients in a more efficient way, besides this the algae are carbon dioxide neutral since their carbon source can be supplied by the atmosphere and the additional energy required can be supplied by algal oil or other renewable sources.

Bakgrund: Anledningen till lagerhållning är ett förväntat behov på produkterna i framtiden. Färdigvarulagret fungerar som en säkerhet mot eventuella störningar i materialflödet och är en garanti för att företaget kan leverera till kund. Lagernivån ska generellt hållas låg och dess storlek blir en avvägning mellan krav på leveransservice i förhållande till kostnader och kapitalbindning. Studien grundar sig på företag X som producerar kundspecifika högvärdiga råvaruprodukter.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att genom olika angreppssätt påvisa potential för minskad kapitalbindning i företag X färdigvarulager samt resonera över åtgärdernas tänkbara påverkan på kundservicen.Metod: Datainsamlingen utgjordes av intervjuer samt studier av litteratur och dokument. Eftersom problemet är komplicerat och kräver en djupare förståelse av studieobjektet och dess omgivning valde gruppen att göra en fallstudie.Slutsatser: Uppsatsen mynnar ut i tre förslag på åtgärder.

pcSKOG-gård is a computerised manager plan for private forest owners, developed by the pcSKOG AB. The program is based on forest stand data, joined with a map of the forest and GIS-applications. The purpose is to offer a program for private forest owners managing the forest and with the possibility of updating the actual status of the forest. The company pcSKOG AB is the leading producer of programs for forest management and has developed the program since 1997. The program is currently the most common program used by private forest owners in Sweden. The aim of this thesis, leading to MSc in forestry, is to investigate the purpose of the private forest owners when purchasing the pcSKOG-gård. The thesis also studies how private forest owners use the program, what they use it for and how the private forest owners state that the program has achieved to fulfil their expectations. The thesis is also a market research concerning the knowledge and attitudes the private forest owners have about the program and associated services. The study material has been collected during two phases.

Användningen och betydelsen av intranät, det vill säga en slags organisationsinterna webbplatser, ökar i många organisationer i takt med en ökad IT-användning när allt mer kommunikation sker via elektroniska kanaler. Fungerande intern kommunikation, inte minst ledningskommunikation, är samtidigt en förutsättning för organisering, ledning och styrning. Ju otydligare organisationens mål är ju större betydelse får en fungerande intern ledningskommunikation för att omsätta t.ex. visioner i konkreta åtgärder. Detta framstår som särskilt angeläget i offentlig förvaltning där politiska visioner, mål och prioriteringar ofta kan vara vaga eller motsägelsefulla.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. The company that wanted this system is called Orbit One and is located in Ronneby, Sweden. They have had a problem with old documents circulating in different versions and in different binders. Now thanks to their new system they can access their documents easy and on demand through their intranet..

This study is based on interviews with six students from Stockholm that have shared their feelings/opinions about how they experience their identity as a student. The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how the identity of students is constructed but also how the post modern society affects the life that the students are living. With a higher demand on education and responsibility of making the right decisions, the student?s main concern is not only her studies, but also the goal to succeed in her life.

To build a sustainable future should we first understand that; every aspect of our daily lives can affect the environment. It?s important that we take responsibility for understanding how we impact the environment and change our actions accordingly. The worlds total energy consumption equivalent to 80 million MWh / year. This corresponds to about 220 million MWh / day.Energy consumption is one of the main reasons for increased greenhouse gases when the reduction of this consumption has a great demand worldwide.In order to prevent the energy that consumed the buildings must be energy efficient but there is a conflict between radon ventilation and energy conservation in a building, given that ventilation can consume as much energy (currently 29-59% of energy-efficient houses use), especially in a cold climate as in Norway.

I modern utveckling av hårdvara ligger det stort fokus på att producera processorer med fler och fler kärnor. Därmed behöver även mjukvaran utvecklas för att på bästa sätt utnyttja all denna parallella potential. En stor del av detta är då att kunna dela data mellan flera parallella processer, vilket uppnås med hjälp av parallella samlingsdatatyper. En vanlig operation på samlingsdatatyper är att iterera denna. Studiens mål var att analysera prestanda och beteende hos ett flertal kända algoritmer för iteration av datasamlingen kö.

The Swedish building and property management sector are responsible for about 30 % of the total energy use. In order to take environmental consideration, different environmental assessment tools and standards are used. Miljo?byggnad, Svanen, FEBY12 and PHI are some of these. There has been increased interest to certify buildings and therefore it is of interest to evaluate the assessment of the energy field to see if relevant energy aspects are assessed.

In this study the practical work with the EU Water Framework starts on the island of Gotland. 33 lakes and 32 streams have been characterized and classified regarding to their ecological status. The aim with the characterisation is to create a uniform discription of all waterbodies and a comparable estimation for the future. The aim with the classification is both to study the waterbodies ecological status and to gain knowledge of where the resources should be concentrated so that the ecological status in all waterbodies will be good in 2015.The characterisation has been done according to the EU Water Framework Directive, and the factors that have been applied are the mean depth and area of the lake. The length and size on the catchment area are the factors that have been used on streams.

Det prehospitala vårdarbetet är komplext och det är en utmaning för sjuksköterskor att kunna balansera medicinsk och vårdvetenskaplig kunskap. Sjuksköterskors dokumentationsansvar syftar till att trygga patientens säkerhet samt utgöra ett underlag för fortlöpande utvärdering och revidering av utförd vård och behandling. Patienter med centrala bröstsmärtor är en stor patientgrupp inom prehospital akutsjukvård. Är dokumentationen i ambulanssjukvård en garanti för patientens säkerhet i samband med akut bröstsmärta? Syftet är att undersöka faktorer som kan påverka ambulanssjukvårdens dokumentation med fokus på vård och behandling av patienter med central bröstsmärta.

För att skapa en produkt som stödjer kundens mål och arbetsprocesser är det av stor vikt att identifiera vilka, men även var och i vilket sammanhang de potentiella brukarna är och agerar. Moderna styrsystem ger möjligheter för flera olika personalkategorier att arbeta med systemen och dessutom används systemen inom skilda domäner där det finns olika behov. Det fanns därför ett behov att, på uppdrag av ABB, utreda vilka behov dessa olika personalkategorier har och hur styrsystemet uppfyller dessa, samt på vilka punkter systemet skulle kunna utöka sitt stöd för de uppgifter som skall utföras. I form av en fallstudie genomfördes därefter en kartläggning av arbetsmiljö, personalkategorier och olika uppgifter och mål som uppfylls av personalen. Fallstudien genomfördes utifrån ett systemperspektiv med ett sammansatt kognitivt system (JCS) som enhet för analys. Detta perspektiv var även tongivande vid presentation av resultaten i form av karaktäristiska gestaltningar av både brukare och domän. Studien har visat att befintliga gestaltningstekniker inte är tillräckliga för att gestalta brukare, domän och samspelet där emellan.
