Bakgrund: Forskning som behandlar sarkopeni visar att muskelförtvining påverkar funktionsförmågan under åldrandets gång och går att förebygga med olika former av styrketräning. Forskningen kring muskelförtvining gjorde således att ett intresse av träning för äldre vuxna väcktes hos oss och därav också styrketräningens potentiella effekter på livskvaliteten.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka om en ökad fysisk styrka och explosivitet bidrar till en ökad livskvalitet hos personer mellan 55 och 65 år.Metod: Detta har undersökts i en grupp på femton deltagare med inspiration från aktionsforskning. Data har insamlats med hjälp av MuscleLab, SF-36v2 och memos.Resultat: Nio deltagare uppvisade en ökning av effektutvecklingen och sex deltagare en minskning. Livskvaliteten har ökat i samtliga åtta kategorier för gruppen som helhet, vilket innebär att både den fysiska och mentala hälsan har ökat i gruppen.Slutsats: En ökad styrka och explosivitet innebar inte nödvändigtvis en ökad livskvalitet, utan vi anser snarare att förändringen i livskvalitet är beroende av en högre aktivitetsnivå i sig. Detta för att styrkan för gruppen som helhet endast ökat marginellt, men att livskvaliteten har ökat desto mer..

What attribute affects salience on a political agenda? How come some reforms are implemented while others are not? These are essential and central questions for our society. Our society, our democracy and our everyday life are dependent of these factors; communication is the condition. In the 2011 budget from the Swedish conservative government, the question of lowering the VAT on restaurant- and catering services was the single most debated reform. This was occasioned from 2009 when the European Union allowed, for the first time since Swedish entry in 2005, a lower VAT on restaurant services.

An energy survey of Östers pre-school has already been done by a group of three students and all the calculations and values have been collected from that survey. As of today, both pre-schools are heated thru district heating. This essay deals with the industrial past, present and future and begins with the impact and importance the industrial revolution has had on us humans, socially, economically and structurally. Today's society has developed from industrial production of goods to the production of services but the industrial sites remains. The essay examines issues concerning the protection of the industrial environment, their status as a cultural heritage, what is done with our industrial heritage and the opportunities it has for the future. Malmö has a great industrial history and now one of the cities oldest industrial sites, the north of Sorgenfri, will be transformed. The essay compares the plan with guidelines for future development from the Town Building Office with an antiquarian investigation for the same area.

Den här uppsatsen har till syfte att undersöka den dagliga medieanvändning som finns hos första generationens invandrarungdomar från Kurdistan, samt ta reda på om de som elever i skolan har varit med om att lärare tagit upp nyheter rörande deras hemländer i den allmänna undervisningen. Om vi ser det hela med elevernas ögon tror vi att de kommer att uppleva att undervisningen blir mer relevant för dem om också nyheter från deras hemländer diskuteras i klassrummet. Extra fokus har lagts på om medier från hemländerna ingår i medieanvändningen. Studien bygger på en explorativ fallstudie med semistrukturerade intervjuer tillsammans med tre manliga och tre kvinnliga elever med kurdisk bakgrund i åldrarna 16-18 år på Tingvallagymnasiet i Karlstad.Det är relevant att undersöka medievanorna hos unga invandrare i Sverige eftersom det inte finns speciellt många studier gjorda som har fokuserat på just den här frågan. Som blivande medielärare anser vi också att det är viktigt att ha kännedom om invandrares medievanor eftersom vi då bättre kan planera våra lektioner med en mer multikulturell inriktning.</p><p> </p><p>Resultaten visar att ungdomarna har ett intresse av att hålla sig uppdaterade dels om händelser i Sverige, men även i deras hemländer och i övriga världen.

Sedan flera hundra år tillbaka har människor immigrerat till Sverige. Efterhand har denna invandring mer och mer reglerats genom olika lagar och samarbeten. I Sverige har det så uppstått en grupp av personer som inte är asylsökande och som av olika skäl lever i landet utan uppehållstillstånd. En del av dessa har tidigare sökt asyl men fått avslag, medan andra aldrig sökt asyl. Dessa personer kan inte åtnjuta hälso- och sjukvård på samma villkor som den svenska befolkningen eller ens på de villkor som staten beslutat att asylsökande ska ha rätt till.

Purpose:The purpose of this study is to improve the knowledge regarding how entrepreneurial companies act and behave in relation to human capital, by studying their decision-making process for human capital investments. Furthermore this study shall enrich the understandings for how their way of handling human capital investments might change over time along with the development, growth and aging of the company.Methodology:For this case study the authors have chosen a qualitative approach. The authors have collected the empirical data by interviewing the CEO?s of six different entrepreneurial companies. To be able to process and analyze the empirical data the authors have used various theoretical frameworks and also previous studies.Theoretical framework:The theoretical framework brings up human capital and its importance, but also its role in the entrepreneurial company.

Adherence to medical ordination is low and for long-time medication it is estimated to be as low as 50 percent. Depending on the prescribed drug this could lead to adverse effects and/or loss of effect of the drug. Information about why a drug is prescribed is important patient information and is thought to help increase compliance with the physician?s prescription. According to results from a recent study of visits to the emergency room at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in Solna, Stockholm, medically related problems were the cause in about 30 percent of the cases.

One of our big public health problems in Sweden is that human beings are too inactive in outdoor settings. That is why stress related diseases increase and influence humans both mentally and physical. The physical activity is halved among many children when they start school and the older they become the less they enjoy school. It is also an increasing problem that children and youth in today's society have lack of worthwhile experiences in the nature. The aim of this study was therefore to examine how the experience of outdoor environment had importance for health and learning on upper secondary school pupils.

In this analyse of form and content have I also chose to study how the magazine present femininity and how this affect the female identity.Material/Method: The material consists of 4 magazines from Solo and Solo G during 2005. A qualitative text analysis has then been used as a method of analysing the material.Main results: Solo G focuses a lot more on celebrities than Solo. Solo G uses the celebrities as role models to the youth to look up to.

This thesis investigates clinical nurses? information seekingand information use through semi-structured interviews withsix nurse practitioners, nurses with further education.Previous research shows that nurses have problemsimplementing evidence-searching at the clinic because oforganization, stress and heritage of an old practice that doesnot incorporate the academic education.The theoretical framework consists of T.D. Wilson?sinformation seeking behavior model and R.H. Orr?s model ofinformation needs.

Since the brain is an important prerequisite for human language there is a great interest to gain more knowledge about healthy brain activity during language mediated communication. This study examines variations in high level language ability relating to demographic factors like gender and age and relates language ability to neural activity.Eighteen individuals in ages between 22 and 64 were included and divided into groups in relation to gender and age. The material used to assess language ability was derived from Testbatteri för Bedömning av Subtila Språkstörningar (Laakso, Brunnegård, Hartelius & Ahlsén, 2000), Swedish Lexical Decision Test (Almkvist, Adveen, Henning & Tallberg, 2007) and a reading test (Högskoleprovet). The results were correlated with measured brain activity using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and language paradigms. ANOVA was applied to discover possible demographic variances in language ability as well as in brain activity.The results showed no significant differences in language ability.
