Information technology development has in recent decades had a major impact on retailing.Discount supermarket chains began to Offer customers the possibility to shop without therequirement to do this over the counter, instead the customer could help themselves buyingthe products they wanted. Retailing today has an even greater focus on the self service in thesupermarkets, recently many retailing chains has introduced self-checkout systems toincrease the profits and reduce staffing requirements. In the 1960?s the start for today's ecommercewas founded, however the development took off 30 years later in the beginning of1990. During the first years of 2000 the consumption on the Internet increased rapidly.

Competition in the market of interior design during the last several years has drastically increased. The consumers of today are very conscious about what the market can Offer and therefore they have high demands on the products. It is not only the function of the product that matters but also the design that makes a difference. Companies are becoming more aware of this and as a result they have to find a way to set themselves apart in order to attract customers. This realization has led designers and economists to cooperate in a different way than before.

This study is a research on how dystopian features are expressed within different genres. The purpose is to discuss films that contain dystopian features in relation to genre and to examine if there are shared conventions in the films that can make dystopia a film genre on its own. The theoretical base includes genre theory and Rick Altman?s semantic/syntactic approach to film genre. Five films from different genres, all produced within the time period of 2000-2010, are analyzed with a semantic/syntactic approach to genre and then discussed in relation to dystopia and prior research.

This study focuses on the use of animals in social work from the perspective of social workers. The purpose of this study is to examine social workers? experiences of animal assisted social work and how social workers view the integration of animals in various fields of social work. The research is based on a qualitative method and four semi-structured interviews were conducted with social workers. The theories incorporated in the study are Attachment Theory and Sense of Coherence (SOC).The following results are presented: Social workers are considered to have a more comprehensive understanding of clients compared to their associates who do not hold a degree in Social Work.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka professionella hjälparbetares subjektiva uppfattning av fenomenet partnervåld och hur de beskriver bemötande och terapeutisk behandling av de hjälpsökande.Uppsatsen tar avstamp utifrån våldsutsatta män inom partnervåld men även de övriga rollerna som kan uppstå inom destruktiva heterosexuella relationer berörs: våldsutövande män, våldsutövande kvinnor samt våldsutsatta kvinnor. Vi utgår från professionellas uppfattning om sitt betraktande, bemötande, behandling samt benämning av rollerna inom partnervåld och gör en analys utifrån ett diskursperspektiv, ett viktimiseringsperspektiv samt ett genusperspektiv av institutionsdiskurserna som förs på enheterna.Ansatsen är kvalitativ genom enskilda intervjuer med professionella som arbetar på en enhet som tar emot män kontra en enhet som tar emot kvinnor och utsagorna jämförs sedan med varandra för att fördjupa förståelsen av fenomenet.De resultat vi funnit i uppsatsen antyder att diskurserna på de två enheterna skiljer sig från varandra vilket eventuellt skulle kunna ge ett möjligt svar på varför mäns utsatthet utifrån vår erfarenhet är så osynligt i samhället. Benämning av de roller som skapas i de destruktiva relationerna är ett av de mest intressanta resultat vi funnit, då beskrivningarna av rollerna enligt vår uppfattning skiljer sig markant mellan de två enheterna..

In the years between 2012 and 2014, Burma has been shaken by waves of violence against Muslims which has resulted in destroyed mosques and shops, at least 140 000 displaced and 200 killed persons. The person who is said to lay behind this violence is the Burmese Theravada monk Ashin Wirathu. Being the founder and leader of the radical Buddhist movement 969, he has been accused of indirectly motivating violence against Muslims and has been portrayed with titles such as ?The face of buddhist terror?. This essay investigates the relation between Wirathu and the anti-Muslim violence by applying the method of content analysis on a speech of him.

There's a good adherence to the vaccination of children, about 98% of all two year olds are vaccinated. Despite this, there are cases of whooping cough and measles in Sweden. The purpose of the study was to describe what motivates parents to not vaccinate and reflections and attiudes about vaccinations. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight parents who had chosen not to follow the National Board of Health?s vaccination program or whom had decided to completely abandon, participated in the study.

In order to analyse the texts and films on www.ams.se I have used tools from the modern rhetoric analysis. In the last part of my analysis I compared the results of the rhetoric analysis and the requests from the interviews to see if and how they match.Main Results: The respondents requested inspiration for their future work lives, and information that could de-dramatize the image of working. The texts on www.ams.seconsist mostly of facts, while the films made a slightly more emotional contribution to the image of the occupation. The films showing relaxed and satisfied people can be seen as a way to de-dramatize the image of working-life.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to study how well the online catalogue of The Music Library of Sweden works when ordinary users are searching for sheet music. The issues studied are: Why do the users fail to find the sheet music they are looking for? Do the users take advantage of the possibilities that the classification codes of the SAB system Offer? If not, why?The source material of the study is 144 comments from a user questionnaire about the online catalogue and, in addition, the search log for one day (513 queries). The comments were sorted into seven groups depending on the type of information need, for example searches for certain instrumentation or genres and problems with spelling.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka hur ledande personer inom arbetet mottrafficking i Uganda ser på sexuell trafficking som socialt fenomen/problem. Viville ta reda på vad dessa uppfattningar påverkas av och hur de i förlängningenpåverkar deras arbete mot sexuell trafficking och de utsatta. Vår undersökningsresultat och analys bygger på nio semistrukturerade intervjuer med praktiker ochexperter inom många olika fält som på ett eller annat sätt anknyter till arbetet mottrafficking. Resultaten av dessa intervjuer presenteras i tematisk form utifrån vårafrågeställningar. Vår studies teoretiska utgångspunkter var postkolonial teori samtintersektionellt perspektiv.

Konventioner, lagtexter och inte minst läroplaner uttalar den rätt varje elev har för att känna sig trygg i skolan. Ändå är mobbning ett vanligt förekommande skolproblem. En av sju elever är inblandade i mobbning antingen som Offer eller som mobbare. Vårt syfte med studien är att få ökad kunskap om handlingsplaner och även se vad de belyser då det gäller arbetet mot kränkande behandling, med fokus på mobbning. The aim of this study was to examine the perceptions within social services regarding men who are victims of domestic violence based on how gender, sexuality, masculinity and victimhood was constructed in the social workers' statements. Eight qualitative interviews were conducted with nine social workers who work within the social services and meet people who are victims of domestic violence. A social constructionist scientific approach has permeated the study and theories of gender, heteronormativity, masculinity and the ideal victim has served as the study?s theoretical views. The results of the study showed that some of the social workers ascribed men specific characteristics such as strength and fearlessness.

Den 7 oktober 2001 startade kriget i Afghanistan, en konflikt som idag har pågått i nästan 12 år. Målet med operationen var att driva den talibanska ledningen från makten, samt att tillfångata Usama bin Ladin och andra ledare inom al-Qaida och därmed få ett slut på den säkra tillflyktsort som al-Qaida och andra terroristgrupper haft i Afghanistan.Corum och Johnson är två militärteoretiker som har forskat inom användandet av luftmakt i irreguljära konflikter. Dessa två har i sin bok Airpower in Small Wars formulerat 11 lärdomar som de anser att man bör ha i beaktning då man använder luftmakt i irreguljära konflikter. Fem av dessa lärdomar går att applicera direkt vid en analys på stridsflygsfunktionen, medan de andra sex behandlar områden som strategi, lufttransport och utbildning.I analysen framkommer det att vissa av dessa fem lärdomar går till stor del att skönja i hur stridsflyget har använts i kriget i Afghanistan, medan andra har tillämpats i mindre omfattning. De två punkter där utvecklingspotentialen bedöms vara hög avseende nyttjandet av stridsflyget är inom Undvika civila Offer samt Använda markmålsoperationer vid konventionell krigföring.
