The modern workplace is dependent on effective communication in order for the employees to be able to execute their tasks. Despite this over half of the new communications-solutions that are inserted to handle an organizations communication needs fail. Therefore this study focuses on the adoption of communication-solutions in the context of the modern workplace. This with the intent of identifying factors that are central to the individuals? adoption of new communication-solutions.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att fördjupa vår kunskap om och förståelse för formativ bedömning i matematik. Vidare vill vi undersöka om den formativa bedömningen kan förbättra eleverna i klassens kunskapsutveckling i matematik. Vi har gjort en fallstudie i en klass som arbetar formativt för att undersöka hur det kan se ut i praktiken. Underlaget för det samlade materialet består av observation och intervju för att besvara våra två frågeställningar som följer. Hur kan en formativ bedömning se ut i praktiken? Hur kan en koppling mellan lärares och elevers uppfattningar om den pedagogiska verksamheten se ut? Vi har kommit fram till att den formativa bedömningen kan förbättra eleverna i klassens kunskapsutveckling i matematik.

This study concerns digital stories told by five young Romani students and one teacher from Roma Culture Class in Stockholm, Sweden. The theoretical framework draws from theories concerning identity, culture,Romanipe, the Romani value system and social semiotics. The material for the study is the digital stories that were analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the young Roma in the study demonstrate pride in their Romani background and culture, but also signs of changes and development in their culture. Some of the participants do not show external signs of Romani traditions, for example in the ways of dressing.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the factors of children?s voluntarily reading in their spare time. We also want to know if the children choose non-fiction books for their voluntarily reading. The method as well as the empirical basis of this study is qualitative, with interviews of twenty-eight children in ages between 9 and 12 years. We conducted nine interviews with 3?4 children in each group.

Uppsatsens syfte var att undersöka hur fri improvisation fungerar i gruppsångundervisning. Fokus låg på eventuella förändringar inom tre områden: synsätt på musik/musicerande, initiativförmåga samt uttrycksförmåga. Studien innebar observation av en sånggrupp som utövade fri improvisation under fyra tillfällen. Jag agerade både sångpedagog och observatör. Gruppen hade en sångpedagog sedan tidigare som parallellt med min studie undervisade och observerade dem.

AbstractThis study focuses on three generations of Kurdish women's view on honor. The study is a qualitative research based on three individual interviews. The aim of this study is to examine how three generations of immigrant women from a culture of honor is influenced over time by the majority culture and its values together with how these women affect each other mutually both consciously and unconsciously within the family. The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

In this essay there will be four text books from grade 1 studied, the first one are from the year 1976 and it will be going forward to the year 2012. The aim of this study is to see how the genders are depicted and represented, as well as what roles the genders are given. I do also want to see if there is a notable change in this over time. I will be doing a study based on the quantity of the contents, and I will also be doing a critical discourse analysis.The result of the study showed that there were more gender-based constructions that referred to women in all of the four books, which indicates that women are represented more often in these reading books. It is most common to portray the genders in their stereotypical roles, which again are present in society, but sometimes these roles are depart from what?s present in society.

BACKGROUND: The nurse profession is nursing care and that includes leading and educate co-worker. In north-east Skåne a nurse started a study circle about pain for nursing staff at housing for elderly. AIM: The aim of this study was to understand the nursing staffs understanding about the study circle as a resource for their work with analgesia among elderly after participating in the same. METHOD: A qualitative approach was used and collecting data was done by a semi-structured focus group interview and two individual semi-structured interviews. The data was analysed by content analyses.

Föreliggande studie syftar till att undersöka hur pedagogernas verbala och kroppsliga agerande i förskolans samling bidrar till att skapa könskonstruktioner interaktionellt. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt används historikern Hirdmans genussystem, vilket bygger på resonemanget att samhällets struktur kring kön och genus organiseras utifrån en dikotomi mellan könen och en hierarki där mannen/det manliga är överordnat kvinna/det kvinnliga. Därtill används ett kompletterande synsätt där också en eventuell pluralism i könskonstruerandet inom könskategorierna ska kunna bli synlig. Den datainsamlingsmetod som har använts är observation med hjälp av videoinspelningar, och analysen har sedan genomförts utifrån etnografiska riktlinjer. Observationerna har genomförts på en 3-5-årsavdelning och omfattar tio observationstillfällen som tidsmässigt varierar mellan femton och femtio minuter.

This case-study examines the correlation between young men and democratic instability in group discussions with two analyzing methods in one. One part of the method used is deliberative democracy which aims to explain how democracy works within the frames of discussion in ordinary citizens groups. In this study the citizens is upper level secondary school students. The other part of the method used is the theory pulled by many scholars lately, the demographic impact on democracy. With these two combined in one this study compare the theory of young men as more active in political violence and as a destabilising factor of democracy on country-level with the results of the study in deliberative democracy in small group discussions.

I detta arbete har jag undersökt hur man kan tillämpa teorier inom informationsdesign för att gestalta en designlösning som hjälper klättrare att minnas moment från topprepskursen.Svenska klätterförbundet vill utforma ett material med information om klättringsmoment som genomförts under topprepskursen. Materialet ska ges ut till examinerad klättrare i samband med att topprepskursen inomhus avklarats, för att påminna om vad för moment som genomförts under kursen. Tidigare material som ska fylla samma syfte finns tillgängligt men är inte utvecklat för att ges ut i samband med avklarad kurs. En designlösning som utifrån teorier inom informativ bild och kognition har producerats och testats genom öppna observationer. Resultatet i arbetet var att sju av åtta testpersoner i en observation kunde minnas hur ett praktiskt moment skulle utföras utifrån designförslaget..

The purpose of this study was to identify reading strategies used by high school students when reading textbooks and school-related material. Any differences in reading strategies between Biology and English were also of importance. A study sample of 62 students from three different high schools in Sweden participated in the study and were asked to fill out a survey questionnaire. Eight students from this sample were also interviewed. The findings of this study show that students use a number of different reading strategies of which metacognitive and sociocultural factors play a crucial part.

This essay is based on students' growing lack of interest in science at school. Both from a democratic and social perspective, this is a worrying factor for the future. Through observation, I investigated how five science teachers conduct their teaching. This is to get a better understanding of how teachers' behaviour in the classroom can affect students' interest in science. With a socio-cultural research approach, I have tried to highlight a few pieces of the puzzle that may explain students' declining interest in science.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att genom en litteraturstudie praktiskt sätta upp en pjäs, från manuskript till föreställning, samt utifrån repetitionerna studera amatörskådespelare genom den kvalitativa metoden observation. Urvalet av personer har varit två 16-åriga pojkar som vuxit upp tillsammans. Kategorierna, i observationen, som har studerats är gester och samspel. Resultatet av litteraturstudien utmynnade i pjäsen och föreställningen Nils Holgersson har rymt. Resultatet av observationerna visade att amatörskådespelare använder sig av tyst kunskap i form av gester och samspel.

In 1994 a new Forestry Act was accepted in Sweden. One of its aims was to raise the consideration for preservation of biodiversity. Since this happened over 15 years ago there is now an interest in analyzing if the law has been effective in its purpose. In this study methods suitable for analysis are being investigated. The study contents a pilot study of methods for five parameters that can validate if the law has been followed.
