The purpose of this study was to describe, understand and analyze the thought behind the perception amongst pedagogues´ on multicultural work in preschools, based on an intercultural perspective. In this study, I questioned the pedagogues´ view on the work in preschools that prepares children for a life in a multicultural society and also the way they describe the cultural challenges.The study was accomplished and questions were answered by studying current literature and previous research in the field. I also interviewed four pedagogues from two different preschools located in separate areas.This study shows that many opinions that pedagogues expressed in the interviews can be traced back to an ?us vs. them? perspective, in which your own culture, the Swedish one in this case, is the most critical and should receive the greatest attention in preschool.

The aim with this study is to see how social workers apprehend the law, support and service for persons with certain functional impairments (LSS) and the application. We interviewed six social workers in six different municipalities to get a distribution between small and big municipalities. In the study we have used a qualitative method with half structured interview questions, since we wanted to get a comprehension for the social workers apprehensions. We have used a communication theory and a role theory in the study. The result showed that the social workers consider that the LSS is important, but that there are a few difficulties in the application.

Detta arbete handlar om synskadade barn i förskolan. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka vilken kunskap en grupp pedagoger har samt vilka kunskaper de saknar om synskadade barn. Vi vill även undersöka vilka möjligheter och problem synskadade barn har i förskolan. Avsikten är at undersöka vilka möjligheter och problem synskadade barn har i förskolan. Vår undersökning är genomförd som observation på två förskolor och i en förskoleklass.

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze youth community service in the Kalmar municipality. Our focus was on juvenile offenders and predecessor of public authorities. The juvenile offenders in our study have completed youth community service. A qualitative study was undertaken which include seven interviews. Our empirical data were compared and analyzed with previous research data.

Syftet med studien var att få en djupare förståelse för identitetsskapande via sociala medier, och hur detta identitetsskapande påverkar individens självbild. Frågeställningen var: ?Vilka strategier använder unga vuxna i konstruerandet av sin nätidentitet på Facebook genom statusuppdateringar?? och ?Hur förhåller sig denna nätidentitet till deras självbild?? Som metod valdes Multi-Grounded Theory. Sex personer i åldern 18-23 år deltog i studien. Datainsamling skedde genom observation av informanternas statusuppdateringar, och personliga intervjuer kring dessa.

This report is based on a thesis that was carried out during spring 2012. The report covers the development of a preliminary study to Performance Sk8. The purpose of the study is to facilitate and contribute inspiration to Performance Sk8 to run an automation project to bring home their production to Sweden from China. The reason is to gain a greater ability to control quality, produce smaller batches and reduce the cycle time to reduce costs.The goal is that the preliminary study shall meet the requirements and wishes Performance Sk8 and other partners defined. The pre study will contain different cost proposals for the automation of selected process and serve as a basis for procurement of the equipment.The pre study has resulted in some proposed solutions to the various steps required to automate Performance Sk8 ?s production.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur barn i åldrarna tre till sex år uppfattar de geometriska formerna i sin närmiljö, utan att någon vuxen påvisar formerna. I undersökningen ingår även att se vilka former barnen känner till och hur de benämner formerna. Metoderna som använts i undersökningen är intervjuer och observationer. Huvudresultatet var att barnen såg olika geometriska former i sin förskolemiljö. Hur barnen benämnde formerna varierar mellan matematisk benämning och vardagsbenämning och även egen påhittad benämning.

The purpose of this thesis is to study how preschool teachers can reach the goal of the swedish educational plan to prevent traditional gender roles for children ages 3-6 through drama in education.This is answered by four hypothesis based on Judith Butler's queer theory, George Herbert Mead's social psychological theory and Gavin Bolton and Dotothy Heathcotes drama pedagogical theories. The hypotheses are tested against four teachers' examples of their work.The hypotheses areHypothesis 1: By using the expert's mantle and active observation in teacher-in-role indrama educational exercises, we can see how the children internalize the heterosexualmatrix and the outline of the internalized other.Hypothesis 2: By using the "mistakes" that occur when children repeat performativeacts that do not fit with the heterosexual matrix, these other possible behaviors can bestrengthenedHypothesis 3: Through drama exercises that are not normative teachers can widen theheterosexual matrixHypothesis 4: Through drama pedagogical methods like teacher-in-role teachers canprovide possibilities of other performative acts and the creation of a more tolerantinternalized other.The analysis show that the respondents work within all these hypotheses in different ways and thathypotheses 2 is the one with the weakest support in the interwievs. The examples are also weakregarding the use of Boltons drama pedagogical methods, but that there are a number of othermethods in use.Some of the conclusions are that more theoretical knowledge in the preschool drama pedagogics tocounteract traditional gender roles and patterns, as well as the drama of educational theory need tobe linked to queer and social psychology research. AbstractThis study focuses on three generations of Kurdish women's view on honor. The study is a qualitative research based on three individual interviews. The aim of this study is to examine how three generations of immigrant women from a culture of honor is influenced over time by the majority culture and its values together with how these women affect each other mutually both consciously and unconsciously within the family. The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

Vårt examensarbete handlar om matematiken med matematiskt språk i fokus. Huvudsyftet med vårt arbete är att ta reda på om användandet av matematiskt språk i undervisning kan hjälpa elever i deras matematiska begreppsutveckling och i vilken utsträckning lärare använder matematiskt språk i undervisningen. Vi har använt oss av intervjuer med lärarna och undervisning med observation och diagnostiska test i årskurs tre. Vi har själva undervisat i en sekvens av lektioner och mätt elevernas kunskap i begreppsanvändning före och efter undervisningen, samt gjort observationer under undervisningens gång. Vårt resultat visar inte någon stor ändring hos eleverna men alla intervjuade lärare anser att matematiskt språk är viktigt för begreppsutveckling i matematik..

The purpose of this thesis was to study the importance of virtual communities for independent record companies. It also aims to examine how these companies use virtual communities in their marketing activities and how to gain competitive advantages by working with virtual communities. A case study based on interviews was conducted with managers from two independent record companies, Music Is My Girlfriend Recordings and B&B Records. Our study has shown that virtual communities are important for independent record companies as tools for finding and addressing the right target market. Useful information about the members of these communities can easily be gathered with the use of the various search options that are available.
