The market offers more and more products that are claimed to have medicallypositive effects (like increased blood perfusion etc.) due to their magneticproperties. The objective of this study was to investigate if blankets containingpermanent (static) magnets have a greater impact on cutaneous blood circulationthan ordinary blankets without magnets. Eight standard bred horses were used in across-over study. The cutaneous temperature was presumed to reflect blood flowin the skin and therefore thermography and local thermistors were used to indicatechanges in circulation. Baseline values were registered before the blanket wasapplied.

This is a qualitative study about unaccompanied refugee?s support that they can get from Social Services and Migration Board. It?s a survey that is made in Skellefteå Kommun by interviewing four professional workers, two at the Social Services and two at the Migration Board. The questions in this study deals with the social support and how age may affect this support.

This study aimed at supplementing the Swedish National Agency for Education?s (Skolverket) study (2006) I enlighet med skolans värdegrund? which investigated whether textbooks in various school subjects went against the fundamental values in the curricula Lpf94 and Lpo 94. Due to this study?s supplementing intention, this study uses a similar title as Skolverket. By adding a new subject (Swedish) to Skolverket?s study, this study also strived to show how discrimination might be present in other subjects than the ones Skolverket involved in their study.

Following study is about motivation from a student perspective. Based on the prescribed literature and published research, the concept and field of motivation have been illuminated. The purpose of the study was to examine how students in ninth grade perceived their educational motivation and what kind importance they considered it had for their performance in school. The study is also supposed to base upon the result; clarify the differences if any between schools. In an attempt to get a clear image of this a quantitative method in the form of surveys was made on two schools in the Stockholm region. One of the schools had a really good merit value, and the other had a rather poor merit- value. By choosing a quantitative method a relatively large number of students where able to participate and equally large quantity of statistics have been presented. The result point at motivation in the participating students in both schools can increase and decrease through different factors.

Syftet med min undersökning var att ta reda på hur pedagogerna i specialförskolan arbetar med förberedande läsning och skrivning för döva och hörselskadade barn. För att ta reda på detta har jag genomfört intervjuer med fem pedagoger som arbetar på specialförskolor och gjort en observation på en av förskolorna. I intervjuerna och under observationen fick jag ta del av flera olika arbetssätt som används. Dessa har jag sorterat in under två kategorier: språkmiljö och föräldrakontakt. De sätt att arbeta med tidig läsning och skrivning som jag har fått ta del av i denna undersökning stämmer väl överens med såväl forskning som läroplanens mål för förskolan.

In this essay there will be four text books from grade 1 studied, the first one are from the year 1976 and it will be going forward to the year 2012. The aim of this study is to see how the genders are depicted and represented, as well as what roles the genders are given. I do also want to see if there is a notable change in this over time. I will be doing a study based on the quantity of the contents, and I will also be doing a critical discourse analysis.The result of the study showed that there were more gender-based constructions that referred to women in all of the four books, which indicates that women are represented more often in these reading books. It is most common to portray the genders in their stereotypical roles, which again are present in society, but sometimes these roles are depart from what?s present in society.

The main purpose of this essay is to examine if it is possible to identify farms of ?forest Finnish? people in Sweden, by means of an archaeological analysis, comparing the forest Finnish settlement with known none-forest Finnish settlements. This study is based on material excavated from the farms of Grannäs, and Råsjö, in the Swedish provinces of Jämtland and Medelpad. Both farms are dated to the 17th and 18th century. The study itself is divided into three parts, firstly a general study to get an overview of the material, secondly a study of ceramics as an attempt to discern social status and lastly a study of the animal bone material for analyzing the forest Finns? livestock and possible hunting habits.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether cannabis use can affect cognitive functions. The method that was chosen to answer the purpose of the study was a general literature review. Article search occurred in the databases PsycINFO and PubMed. Nine articles were selected based on the study?s inclusion criteria.

AbstractIn 2013, the diagnosis of Asperger?s syndrome will be eliminated as a stand-alone diagnosis, to be subsumed into the existing diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this paper, a study with the objective of emphasizing current opinions regarding the change in diagnosis is performed. Another objective is to examine the connection between identity and diagnosis. The study therefore targets people with a diagnosis, in this case Asperger?s syndrome.The empirical material of the study has been collected through a quantitative web-based survey.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka samtalen som sker underplanerings- och reflektionstid. Vi har använt oss av tre frågeställningar i vår studie. Vad innehåller samtalen? I vilket syfte sker samtalen? Sker det något lärande i samtalen? För att nå ett resultat har vi använt oss av de kvalitativa metoderna observation och intervju. Studien utgår från en fenomenologisk ansats och vi är medvetna om att det är undersökningspersonernas egna uppfattningar och erfarenheter vi tagit del av samt vår egen tolkning av dessa.Resultatet visar att samtalen innehåller utvärdering, planering, information samt praktiskt prat kring verksamheten.

Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to study the 45 funds, divided into three differentdivisions, then the result will provide a greater understanding of how returns change with ahigher risk.Methodology: The study is based on a quantitative approach. The survey was conducted bygathering raw data from databases and secondary data from literature, printed and electronicsources.Theoretical perspectives: The study is based on the theory: the efficient markethypothesis, which argues that future returns can not be calculated as the market is fullyinformed. The study is therefore studying historical yields.Empirical foundation: Empirical data are acquired from www.morningstar.se, andtherefore also treated on this page. The material is then divided into documents and time axes.Conclusions: The study has shown that high-risk funds give a higher percentage returns thanmedium-and low-risk funds. However, does not imply a higher risk automatically earn ahigher return when the low-risk funds have shown a higher yield than medium-risk funds.

The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

Vår utgångspunkt med detta arbete har varit att undersöka tryggheten i gruppen. Vårt syfte har varit att undersöka hur vi som pedagoger kan skapa trygghet i gruppen samt hur trygga barnen i de klasser där vi gjorde vår praktik i var. Vår undersökning genomfördes i en låg- och mellanstadieskola, i en årskurs 4 och i en årskurs 6, i Luleå kommun. Genom observation, enkäter och intervjuer samt tidigare forskning försökte vi få svar på våra frågor. Resultatet visade att lärarens främsta verktyg för att skapa trygghet i gruppen är gruppsamtal men även regler, rutiner och gruppstärkande övningar.

I denna studie fick 13 Komvuxelever föra samtalslogg under sex veckor. Syftet var att utvärdera samtalsloggens nytta som undervisningsverktyg. Fokus låg på tre frågeställningar: 1) Vad väljer eleverna att skriva om? 2) Vad anser eleverna om samtalsloggen? 3) Klarar de elever som fört samtalslogg ett ordinarie prov bättre än elever som ej haft denna möjlighet? Metoden var framförallt kvalitativ och byggde på textanalys, semistrukturerade intervjuer och deltagande observation. Där utöver gjordes en kvantitativ analys av provresultat.
