Undernäring hos patienter med KOL. Beskrivning av orsaker, konsekvenser samt omvårdnadsåtgärder. : en systematisk litteraturstudie
Syfte: Att beskriva hur olika former av fysisk aktivitet kunde påverka patienter med sjukdomen KOL och vilka faktorer som inverkade på dessa patienters möjligheter att vara fysiskt aktiva, samt att beskriva hur sjuksköterskan genom patientutbildning kunde hjälpa patienter till ökad fysisk aktivitet. Metod: Studien har genomförts i form av en systematisk litteraturstudie. Till resultatet har använts 16 kvantitativa och en kvalitativ artikel. Resultat: Resultatet visade att träning både i grupp och individuellt förbättrade livskvalitet, fysisk förmåga och andnöd. Träning motverkade också kakexi och minskade risken för depression.

The purpose of this paper consists of examining the different ways of thinking about death and life beyond death conveyed in the game Grim Fandango Remastered. This was done by using a theoretical framework consisting of a self invented definition of death called "Bodily death". This definition consists of common notions about death such as cessation of life functions like movement, metabolism, respiration and overall cessation of brain functions. It also included cessation of vital processes, which includes the ability to make energy transfer, making reparations, for example by cell replication, as well as the waste system of the body. Besides this, the study examines the prevalence of dualism, a conception that views the soul essential to the individual's mental state. Two kinds of dualism were investigated, simple dualism with the assumption that the individual is made up of the soul, and compound dualism, where soul and body are dependent on each other for the survival of the individual.
Nutrition, tillväxt och respiratorisk funktion hos för tidigt födda barn med en födelsevikt under 1000 gram
Bakgrund Överlevnaden ökar bland för tidigt födda barn, vilket främst beror på stora förbättringar inom den perinatala och neonatala intensivvården. Postnatal tillväxthämning, allvarliga sjukdomar och långsiktigt hälsoutfall utgör dock fortfarande ett bekymmer.Syfte Målsättningen med studien var att undersöka intaget av energi och makronutrienter samt tillväxt hos extremt för tidigt födda barn med en födelsevikt under 1000 gram, och att analysera eventuella samband mellan respiratorisk funktion, näringsintag och tillväxt.Metod En retrospektiv kohortstudie av 77 extremt för tidigt födda barn födda mellan 1 april 2009 och 31 mars 2012. Spädbarnen vårdades på den neonatala intensivvårdsavdelningen på Norrlands universitets sjukhus i Sverige. Efter exklusion, på grund av morbiditet eller mortalitet, återstod 47 spädbarn. Dagligt näringsintag och tillväxt noterades i databasen Nutrium.

Det finns två former av njursvikt en akut- och en kronisk. Sjukdomen medför en minskad eller förlorad njurfunktion. Det finns två behandlingsmöjligheter, hemodialys där blodet renas utanför kroppen samt peritonealdialys då bukhålan används som reningsfilter. Algae are one of the world?s oldest life forms and exist in many different phyla, providing a great variety to choose from, for different purposes. Cultivating microalgae offer a way to produce energy at great volumes without competing with food production and at the same time the algae offer a way to use our expensive nutrients in a more efficient way, besides this the algae are carbon dioxide neutral since their carbon source can be supplied by the atmosphere and the additional energy required can be supplied by algal oil or other renewable sources.

Renen - en framtida mjölkproducent?
Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka förutsättningarna för mjölkproduktion från renar (Rangifer tarandus) som en del av den moderna renskötseln. Frågeställningar som inkluderades i litteraturstudien var renmjölkens sammansättning, hur mycket en vaja kunde producera, hur mjölkproduktionen påverkades av faktorer som mjölkningssystem, mjölkningsmiljö och oxytocininjektioner, mjölkproduktionens koppling till nutrition, kalvens betydelse, problem som kan tänkas uppstå och om renen som ett framtida mjölkproduktionsdjur skulle vara ekonomiskt hållbart. Mjölkning av renar har tidigare förekommit ganska allmänt inom samisk renskötsel men det upphörde under 1900-talet på grund av bland annat att sjukdomar spreds när renarna hölls på mindre ytor. Faktorer som är centrala inom mjölkproduktionen hos renar är den totala mjölkavkastningen under laktationen och mjölknedsläppsgraden. Mjölkavkastningen hos vajor varierar mellan individer och påverkas bland annat av separation från kalven, injektioner av oxytocin och mjölkningsmiljön.

Aim and scientific issuesThe aim was to identify potential health risks, for full-time working parents with small children, caused by time shortage. The intention was to better understand and help this particularly time-pressured group in society to achieve a healthier lifestyle. The identification was built upon their own opinions about possible health risks and upon an interpretation of the health risks from a health promoter?s perspective.How do full-time working parents with young children handle time-shortage in a health perspective, specified in the categories: sleep, recovery, nutrition, physical activity, social health and mental health?What consequences for health does time?shortage have for full-time working parents with young children?What do parents with young children think could help them to obtain a better health in everyday life? MethodThe study was based on a literature overview and semi-structured interviews with 6 people who were strategically selected: the interview objects were all full-time working or studying, had one child under 7 and lived together with a partner. All interviews were recorded using two dictaphones and were implemented, transcribed and analyzed by both writers of this essay to increase the reliability of the results.ResultsTime shortage is shown to be handled especially through priorities in the respondent?s lives.

Inverkan av SPC på induktion av protein AF och produktionsresultat hos slaktkyckling
This study was a degree in Master of Science in agriculture with specialization in animal science for the Department of animal nutrition and management at SLU. The subject was created by AS-Faktor, a small company for science and development within the company Lantmännen AB. It was a test of the effect of SPC (Special Processed Cereals) on induction of the endogenous protein AF (an antisecretory factor) in plasma and intestinal lumen in broilers. Previous results have shown positive effects on different intestinal diseases in pigs, horses, dogs as well as in humans. Beside the induction we also studied the effects on results in a conventional slaughter chicken production, including the ability of SPC to compete with or be affected by the coccidiostat, Salinomax.When diarrhoea occurs, it's because there is an imbalance between the secretion and the absorption and it can be caused by for example toxins.

Hinder och möjligheter för sjuksköterskan att identifiera faktorer som påverkar undernäring hos äldre dementa på äldreboenden : En deskriptiv litteraturstudie
Sammanfattning Bakgrund: På grund av att människor lever längre så kommer antal personer med demens också att öka. Med stigande ålder och ökad närvaro av kroniska sjukdomar så som demenssjukdom, blir det även en ökning av undernäringsproblematik hos den äldre befolkningen.  Syftet: Föreliggande litteraturstudies syfte var att beskriva hinder och möjligheter för att sjuksköterskan ska kunna uppmärksamma, förhindra och minimera undernäring hos äldre dementa på äldreboenden. Syftet var också att granska artiklarnas kvalitét utifrån den metodologiska aspekten urval.Metod: En litteraturstudie med deskriptiv ansats genomfördes baserat på 16 vetenskapliga artiklar som söktes i databaserna Pubmed, Chinal och Scopus.Resultat: Studien visar att demenssjukdomens tre stadier orsakar nutritionsproblem. Bristande kommunikation och interaktion, utebliven måltidsträning och biverkningar av vissa läkemedel påverkade dementa äldres nutrition på ett negativt sett.

Every horse owner has his or her own opinion on how to manage their horses? hooves, and whether the horse should be shod or unshod. The knowledge, commitment and attention of the owner determine the quality of the hoof care, but also the time between the arising of symptoms of abnormalities of the hoof until care is sought with a farrier or veterinarian.
New laws will be applied at the beginning of 2015 which bring on changes in authorization for farriers.
