Bakgrund:För att ge patientsäker omvårdnad utifrån ett etiskt- och holistiskt förhållningssätt behövs välutbildade sjuksköterskor. Den verksamhetsförlagda utbildningen inom sjuksköterskeprogrammet ska medverka till att praktiska omvårdnadskunskaper införlivas och grundläggs hos den blivande sjuksköterskan. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskestudenten får ut så mycket som möjligt av sin verksamhetsförlagda utbildning för att vara förberedd för det kommande yrkeslivet. För att förbättra kommande studenters lärandemöjligheter är därför en beskrivning av tidigare studenters erfarenheter och upplevelser av att lära sig omvårdnad på verksamhetsförlagd utbildning relevant att studera.Syfte:Att beskriva avgörande situationer som leder till att sjuksköterskestudenten lär sig omvårdnad under verksamhetsförlagd utbildning.Metod:Kvalitativ studie. Litteraturöversikt av nio vetenskapliga artiklar. Teoretisk referensram är Benners novis-expertmodell.

I omvårdnadsmöten med unga människor som har ett självskadebeteende redovisar forskning att sjuksköterskor brister i att uppmärksamma patienternas verkliga problem på grund av att de saknar kunskap. Detta kan leda till frustration och maktlöshet.Syfte: Studiens syfte var att beskriva på vilket sätt sjuksköterskan skapar omvårdnadsmöten med unga människor som har ett självskadebeteende.Metod: Empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats utifrån semistrukturerande intervjuer med fyra sjuksköterskor verksamma vid barn-och ungdomspsykiatrin. Innehållsanalys modifierad efter Malterud (2009).Resultat: Ur innehållsanalysen har tre kategorier utvecklats; Insikt om den andre, Insikt om sig själv och Insikt om att ta hjälp av andra. Dessa beskriver betydelsen av att sjuksköterskan har insikt i mötet med unga människor som skadar sig själva.Slutsats: Analysens resultat, Insikt om den andre, Insikt om sig själv och Insikt om att ta hjälp av andra förtydliggjorda och förklarade med Erikssons teori att mötet med unga människor med ett självskadebeteende sätts lidandet i ett nytt ljus, sjuksköterskan har modet att bekräfta sig själv och att det finns samspel i en gemenskap.Klinisk betydelse: Förhoppningen med denna studie är att upplysa blivande sjuksköterskor och legitimerade sjuksköterskor om innebörden av att ha insikt om den sårbara patienten, insikt om sig själv och insikt om att se sina begränsningar för att ta hjälp av andra genom reflektion och kunskap..

This essay, with the title: Among children, laser swords and lions. ? How do we approach and utilize the cultural experiences of children? is an approach to participate in a scientific discussion in the field of cultural experiences. This text is an attempt to show the importance of paying attention to, how children express themselves, and place their activities in social and cultural contexts. By doing so and approaching children and their activities with an intercultural point of view, I can use my new found knowledge and use it to stimulate their future learning progresses in different fields.

A social intranet is an information and communication channel that is relatively new. There is still a small amount of research done around social intranet and what it is, and also on what organizations and their members may benefit from using such an intranet. Therefore, this paper was written with the purpose to em-phasize the reasons, possibilities and difficulties of implementing and using a so-cial intranet. With interview as method we took part of the experiences and views on social intranet from a number of organizations that are using or is about to establish a social intranet, and also from companies who deliver the service. Through the use of previous research in organizational communication, we then analysed the responses we received from our respondents.

ABSTRACTBackground: As a nurse it is a part of your work description to precepting students. A good relationship between preceptor and student is important for a successful precepting witch can be rewarding for both parties. There are many studies on how nurses in hospital departments experience precepting students, however it is not as explored in the prehospital care.Objective: To describe ambulance nurses' experience of precepting nursing students in the third and final year of university-level nursing school.Method: A qualitative study was conducted. Nine respondents at two ambulance stations in central Sweden were selected with the help of strategic convenience sample. The informants were nurses with specialist education in ambulance/prehospital care who had experience of working in the ambulance unit for at least a year.Result: The majority of participants were positive to precepting students and the time seemed adequate.

Title: From openness and presence to distance and control: to be medicated and to administrate from a patient and nurse perspective.Background: Within forensic psychiatric care the patients are admitted against their will, under heavy security with long term treatments. Self-care seems, based on scientific studies, to be dependent on what the nurses involved can provide. Emphasis should focus on a humane and respectful approach when the patient is exposed to coercive measures.Aim: From a patient and nurse perspective describe experiences of beeing medicated with and to administrate antipsychotic drugs within the psychiatric inpatient care.Method: Interviews with patients and nurses, which were analyzed using qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach.Results: Patients experience frustration over not beeing able to participate in or influence descisions made regarding their neuroleptic treatment. The neuroleptic treatment is described as a coercive measure and is characterized as an experience of losing control and independence. Nurses? experiences of administering antipsychotics were described as having to do what is needed for the long term benefit of patients? well-being.

Background: Surgical complications has been the main cause of medical injuries and deaths worldwide. In 2008 WHO developed the checklist for safe surgery to reduce the number of surgical complications. The objective of the checklist is to strengthen already established safety routines and contribute to better cooperation and communication. Research shows that compliance to the checklist is deficient, which can affect patient safety.Aim: The aim was to study the extent to which theatre nurses participate in the use of the checklist.Method: Observational study was conducted with a descriptive design and quantitative approach. 24 observations were carried out with aid of an observation protocol of two surgical units at a hospital in central Sweden.Result: The results showed that Timeout initiated widely but compliance to all items was considerably lower.

Purpose: The purpose with the essay is to examine how some teacher?s works with intercultural questions, if they are looking after student?s cultural background, earlier experiences and knowledge?s in their teaching. We have formulated three questions whom we want answer to.Method: The essay began with a theoretical research to get more knowledge of intercultural pedagogic. The study part is based on seven interviews in two schools in Södertälje, five with teachers and two with assistant principals. The conclusions of our essay are based on the results of our study.Result: The study shows that the two discourses ?national self-understanding? and ?the democratic credot? still lives and compete with each other.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediators' views on their work; mediation by reason of the breach. The starting point was to find out the mediator's approach and attitude in relation to the perpetrator and victim, and the prevailing regulatory framework. After review of the literature, we came to the realization that knowledge of this area was very limited and thus presents an unexplored topic. It emerged from the results that the mediators emphasize the importance of maintaining impartiality and neutrality in the process of mediation and that it is important to create a good relationship with both parties. The methods used by the mediators is not so different much about, but the mediators apply Crime Prevention Council handbook.

In this experience-based essay, I give examples of events that take place during a typical day at preschool. By highlighting these everyday events, I discuss around the parental role and its importance for children and child development. I apply a historical review when it comes to views on children and child rearing, and reflect on different approaches that we have towards the children. In the discussion, I reflect on the Childs need for boundaries, and thereby try to understand why we act differently in this respect. To gain more knowledge and understanding of the events I have taken help from theories in literature and from my own practical knowledge.

Horse owner?s knowledge about horse feeding and nutrition is directly linked to the horse?s health and welfare. According to several studies, both Swedish and foreign, horse owners generally have inadequate knowledge about horse feeding. The housing systems and feeding routines of today differs in many ways from what horses have adapted to through evolution. Wild horses live in harem herds and roam on large open fields, spending about 60 % of the day grazing, mainly grass and herbs.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva vad sjuksköterskor och undersköterskor ansåg inbegripas av begreppet omvårdnad och ?god omvårdnad? samt vad för arbetsuppgifter de olika yrkeskategorierna utförde inom ramen för omvårdnad. Metod:Individuella intervjuer av tre sjuksköterskor och fyra undersköterskor. Innehållet analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

When suffering from Diabetes mellitus type 2 it is necessary to live healthy to prevent secondary diseases. Lifestyle changes includes for example changing dietary habits, become psychically active or losing weight.

The aim of this thesis is to map the current internal information flow at Volvo Uddevalla, to detect obstacles in the flow and to find out how these obstacles can be avoided. The aim is also to describe how a corporation, in this particular case Volvo Uddevalla, creates knowledge and use information. The study is performed in order to create a base for the coming implementation of a new information standard. The method used is conducting an information audit investigating the current management of documentation according to the changes that have to be made to carry out the claims from the standard. The investigation is made by way of interviews with 16 of the employees at Volvo Uddevalla.

Library and information science students often ask themselves if their education will be sufficient and adapted to the work tasks they will meet with as future librarians. It is the aim of this Master thesis to investigate LIS-graduates' experiences of the transfer from academic studies into professional life. The thesis thus treats four questions: I: What problems, if any, does the LIS-graduate experience when first employed? 2: Does the recently employed librarian feel that the academically obtained knowledge is applicable in professional life? And, if so, how does it apply? 3: Does the new employee find that there are areas in which his/her academic education has been insufficient? 4: What is the general attitude towards LIS-graduates' education among colleagues and is the library staff prepared to provide the necessary instructions? The investigation is performed through interviews with eight LIS-graduates, all of whom have recently started working as public librarians. The analysis is based on the concepts of competence, qualifications, work skills, knowledge and in the processes of formal and practical learning.
