Vem predisponerar för ätstörningar? En litteraturstudie om olika grupper i samhället som är i riskzonen för ätstörningar
The purpose of this literature review was to find common factors for the persons who predispose to eating disorders. These factors shall help the nurse to recognise early signs of eating disorder behaviors. The literature review is directed to the nurse and will answer the issue: Which groups in the community run the risk of developing eating disorders? Furthermore, this knowledge shall lead to a better understanding of persons having eating disorders and be used as an aid in his/her encounter with these patients. The method was a literature review based on eight scientific articles, which were interpreted on the basis of the competence of the nurse.
Preoperativt samtal - en bra grund för patienten och sjuksköterskan
Bakgrund: I sjuksköterskans roll förväntas det att hon ska kunna kommunicera med patienten på ettrespektfullt sätt. Sjuksköterskan har ett ansvar att tillgodose patientens trygghet inför ett operativtingrepp. Målet med det preoperativa samtalet är att informera, undervisa och planera inför detkirurgiska ingreppet. God kommunikation och ett gott bemötande kan inverka positivt på patientenstillfrisknande och tillit till vården.Syfte: Att beskriva det preoperativa mötet mellan sjuksköterska och patient samt dess betydelse vid detkirurgiska vårdtillfället.Metod: Arbetet är en litteraturstudie där sökningarna gjordes i databaserna Cinahl och Pubmed somresulterade i 11 veteskapliga artiklar vilka granskades och analyserades enligt Fribergs modell förlitteraturöversikt.Resultat: Det preoperativa samtalet har stor betydelse för patienten och sjuksköterskan. Resultatetinnefattar tre teman; kunskapsförmedling, dialog, relation.
Kommunikationssvårigheter : mellan sjuksköterska och patient som är immigrant med annat modersmål
Bakgrund: För att sjuksköterskan ska kunna ge en god vård krävs det en god kommunikation mellan sjuksköterska och patient. När sjuksköterskan vårdar patienter som är immigranter med annat modersmål räcker inte språkkunskaperna alltid till för att förstå och bli förstådd, vilket kan leda till missförstånd. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie genomfördes som baserades på 14 vetenskapliga artklar. Sökningar gjordes i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och Elin@Blekinge. Artiklar mellan 2000-2010 inkluderades.
Kommunikation i djursjukvården : ett arbete om god kommunikation för bästa möjliga vård
SammanfattningDet här arbetet är en litteraturstudie. Arbetet tar upp litteratur om kommunikation i vården främst från humansidan, men även en del veterinärlitteratur. Arbetet tar upp grunden för kommunikation och olika kommunikationsmodeller. Vidare tas sjuksköterskans roll upp och hur den kan påverka relationen till patienten genom professionalism, empati, människosyn och medmänsklighet. Det handlar även om vad litteraturen säger om effekten av behandling som ett resultat av kommunikation samt hur man kan mäta effekten av behandling.
Näraståendes upplevelse av förändringar av pragmatiska aspekter i samtalsinteraktion hos patienter med typisk parkinsonism
The purpose of this study was to examine if atypical Parkinsonism affectsthe pragmatic ability in conversational interaction. 15 persons close to individualswith atypical Parkinsonism answered a questionnaire, "Bedömning av förändring isamtalsinteraktion", estimating experienced change in interactive skills comparedto before the disease. The study also examined if perceived change correlates withdisease duration and if perceived change differs between types of atypicalParkinsonism. The results show that at group level the participants experiencechange in many aspects of conversational interaction, particularly regardingspeech, body communication, response latency, phrase length, word finding andability to understand. There was no correlation between perceived change anddisease duration.
Sjuksköterskans upplevelse av att vårda patienter vid livets slut i hemmiljö
Bakgrund: Att vårdas hemma vid livets slut blir allt vanligare. De senaste 10-15 åren har behovet av avancerade vårdinsatser i hemmet alltjämt ökat och möjligheterna att vårda patienter med komplicerade sjukdomstillstånd har blivit mer möjliga. Detta har medfört att kraven på de såväl medicinska som de specifikt omvårdnadsmässiga åtgärderna har växt. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa ASIH- sjuksköterskors upplevelse av att vårda patienter i hemmet vid livets slut. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ och deskriptiv ansats.
Ögonbehandling av häst med lavage system och infusionspump Omvårdnadsaspekter : omvårdnadsaspekter
Objective ? To study the requirement of nursing care of the equine patient during eye treatment with a lavage system together with a constant rate infusion pump.
Procedures ? Three veterinary nurses at ATG: s Hästsjukhus in Skara were asked nine questions at individual interviews. Inclusion criteria for participation in the interview were that the nurse should have treated equines with and without the infusion pump to the lavage system, but also traditionally with eye drops.
Results ? The equine had a higher well-being since it experienced less stress during eye treatment with the infusion pump compared to treatment given by hand through the lavage system. The treatment would be more effective with constant rate infusion and save costs for the owner.
Vårdpersonalens uppfattningar om fibromyalgi
Aim Our aim is to highlight perceptions of fibromyalgia among health care personell.MethodsA systematic literature review conducted with a deductive approach.FindingsHealth care personell felt insecure because of a lack of understanding which lead to avoiding contact with these patients. Many felt that the fibromyalgia patient was categorised and that they would have been better served with another name of their disease. There was a great distrust against the diagnosis and its aetiology. The patient was perceived as troublesome, illness-fixated and draining the personell of energy. The paradox that the patient is looking so healthy but bearing so much pain was confusing for the health care personell.Conclusions Communication and an empathic encounter was identified as important elements for patient care.

Background: The need for structured practice has in recent years appeared in connection with the request for a more evidence-based nursing. In psychiatric care with its complex disabilities, it is important to have methods to identify these. Research has demonstrated the importance of patient participation in nursing that has been shown to affect their mental health. It is essential to get to know how patients with mental illness are capable of involvement in their life situation. The ICF emerged as a useful theoretical framework for development of questionnaires of patient participation.Aim: The aim of the present pilotstudy was to develop and test a questionnaire for participation, based on ICF.

Patienters upplevelser av intensivvård - med fokus på empowerment
Intensivvård bedrivs idag inte enbart på våra intensivvårdsavdelningarutan förekommer på andra vårdavdelningar inom slutenvården. Modernhjärtintensivvård har de senaste åren blivit tekniskt mer avancerad. Det finns risk atttekniken avhumaniserar vården och att vårdpersonalen fokuserar mer på apparaturenän patienten. Den teoretiska referensramen i detta arbete utgick från begreppetempowerment samt Hendersons omvårdnadteori.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av intensivvårdmed fokus på empowerment.Metod: Litteraturstudien baserades på artiklar från sökningar i databaserna CINAHLoch PUBMED. De sökord som användes var ?empowerment?, ?patientempowerment?, nurse relations?, ?ICU?, ?critical illness?, ?patient perspective?,?critical care? och ?patient experience?.Resultat: Efter genomläsning av artiklarna kunde fyra teman identifieras sompåverkade patientens upplevelse och känsla av empowerment.
Samspelet mellan mål och emotioner vid skapande av motivation
AbstractBackground: The factors goals, emotions and motivation are nowadays well researched. Studies that shows the interaction between these three factors does exist, but in a small amount. In all different jobs people encounter these factors, no matter what you?re working with, some experience them daily and others only sometimes.Purpose: We want to study the significance of the interaction between goals and emotions among employees in the construction business, when leaders are about to motivate their employees.Implementation: To succeed with our study and achieve the purpose, we chose to do a qualitative research. We have conducted four visiting interviews and one telephone interview, with both leaders and employees in the construction business.Results: We have through our study found out that the interaction between goals, emotions and motivation are important in the work of construction, even if it?s not something everyone thinks about.
Undernäring hos äldre- ett gemensamt ansvar : Sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av team-samverkan kring den äldre patientens nutritionsbehov inom äldreboende
Purpose: The purpose of this interview study was to describe the nurses? view of their experiences of interaction with other professionals to improve the elderly patient's nutritional status in municipal elderly care.Method: The study is based on qualitative interviews with nine nurses and was analyzed according to a qualitative content analysis method.Results: The main themes that emerged: Communication among the involved, To feel secure in their role, Lack of structure. The nurses worked closely with nursing staff and cooperated more with doctors about nutrition than with the physiotherapist and occupational therapist. The nurses felt they had the main responsibility for maintaining a good nutritional status of the elderly patient and described themselves as primarily responsible for nutrition while they lacked nutritional competence equal to the responsibilities they had during the whole nutrition process. The nurses had no community dietitian?s skills and felt that the dietitian had a great responsibility and the most updated knowledge in diet and nutrition.

Background: Depression is a very common disease and is caused both by the biological, physical, and psychosocial factors. At least 25 percent of women and 15 percent of all men are affected at some point in their lives. As a nurse, it is important to be aware of women's experience of depression to meet their needs for care.Aim: To illuminate women's experience of depression in order to better understand their needs for care.Method: Literature review in which ten scientific studies were analyzed and thematised. Eight qualitative studies and two studies of qualitative and quantitative method was retrieved from the database CINAHL Complete and PsycINFO. Keywords depression, women?s experience, experience of depression, female, nursing, major depression, women och social interaction were used.
Abort, en kvinnas fria val : En litteraturöversikt om sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av abortvård
Background: The abortion issue raises many ethical, moral and religious aspectsand is therefore well debated worldwide. In the care for an abortion seeking woman, it isimportant that the nurse find a balance between her and the woman's moral opinions aboutabortion in the quest to achieve good care.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses? experiences of caring for womenundergoing abortion.Methods: Literature review based on ten original articles.Results: Literature review's results highlights two key themes: nurse?s experience of anemotional roller coaster as well as difficulties and challenging experiences at work inabortion care. These two themes consists of three subthemes: to get support in the workthrough to vent thoughts and feelings, how strain and stress affects the nurse's work and as anurse learn to accept the woman?s choice.Discussions: Within abortion care nurses find it difficult dealing with theemotional roller coaster that can occur while they strive to maintain an ethical andprofessional approach.
