Background:A trauma is a potential life threatening state which demands special resources and optimal care. Trauma doesn't just mean physical violence against the body, it can also put the patient in a psychological crisis. The trauma care in the emergency department is a short and intensive assessment between the patient and the emergency staff, where there is a risk that the patient may feel exposed and uncomfortable. For the nurse to be able to provide security and meet the patients' needs of well-being during the trauma care, the nurse has to try to understand the patients' needs and experiences. Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate the patient's experiences during trauma care in the emergency department.

To lead is to communicate, a main part of the leadership. 80 % of leaders working tasks involve communication of some kind. The ambition of this study is to analyze how four leaders of an international technique consulting company experience and handle community and technical development during their professional courses. The leaders have a various experience of leadership which adds depth and width to this study. To perform the study qualitative method has been used in the form of personal interviews.The result indicates that change is not always beneficial in every aspect of communication.

Bakgrund: Ronden är det arbetsforum som för samman alla sjukhusets personal-kategorier vilka tillsammans med patienten arbetar för att denne skall kunna få optimal omvårdnad och kunna tillfriskna. Roller och bemötande under ronden på-verkas bl a av faktorer som organisationskultur, kommunikation och samspels-mönster. Syfte: Att undersöka och beskriva hur ronden fungerar avseende bemötande, hie-rarki och rollfördelning mellan sjuksköterskor, undersköterskor och läkare. Aktu-ella frågeställningar: Hur bemöter olika personalkategorier varandra under ron-den? Intar olika personalkategorier olika roller, och i så fall vilka? Metod: Empirisk strukturerad observationsstudie med kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Resultatet har analyserats med manifest innehållsanalys. Resultat: Överlag var bemötandet mellan personalen avslappnat och artigt.

The field of veterinary nursing should be based upon research and proven experience. Few studies have been performed within the area of distal limb bandages. Therefore the aim of this study was to examine and describe how to place a distal fore limb bandage based on proven experience. Data material was collected through four interviews with professional veterinary nurses, and then analyzed using a qualitative content analysis. In the analysis data material was transcribed and then divided into meaningful units that responded to the aim. The meaningful units were then condensed.

Vi som vårdare kan nu träffa på människan med schizofren sjukdom var vi än jobbar, då människan med schizofren sjukdom även får kroppsliga sjukdomar. Schizofreni är en sjukdom som ofta innefattar en värld som kan upplevas främmande, svår att förstå och långt ifrån den livsvärld vi som vårdare vanligtvis möter. Om förståelsen hos oss som vårdare brister i hur människan med schizofren sjukdom upplever sin livsvärld kan det påverka bemötandet och vården negativt. För att kunna ge ett värdigt och respektfullt bemötande behövs kunskap och förståelse om hur människan med schizofren sjukdom upplever sin livsvärld och mötet i vården.Syftet med litteraturstudien är att belysa hur människan med schizofren sjukdom upplever sin livsvärld och mötet i vården.

Research has shown fear of childbirth to be as common among men as women, but the phenomenon has not been as studied among men. Some men have trouble talking about their fear and therefore don?t get the support that they need. Where to go to get help is not so obvious for these men. Background: Stroke is one of the leading causes for longlasting sequelae, among themloss in cognitive function, like aphasia. Aphasia effects the patients ability to understandand express themselves in speaking and writing. To be able to reach a good level of care,the careproviders and patients ought to have the same goals and values. This requires agood communication between the careproviders and patients. Which can be problematicfor the caregivers when they don't feel secure in their way of getting close to these patients.Aim: The purpose of this study was to illuminate caregivers experience of caring forpatients with the diagnosis aphasia following stroke.Method: This is a literature study where nine studies, with qualitative design, has beenanalyzed and compiled.

Place as a concept, and memory as a phenomenon is researched through literature studies. The essay investigates how we think about place and how we experience and relate to it. Memory is discussed both as personal memory and collective memory. Place is a strong source of memory. When we return to a place, we recognize not only the place itself, but also the things we did there, the people we met and the thoughts passing through our mind when we last were there. Pieces of ourselves are stored in the memories awaken when we revisit a place.

Background: Studies have shown that 66 children and teenagers in Sweden suffers from brain tumor every year. Children and teenagers who can´t participate in the regular school for a longer time for whatever reason, have by the school law the right to education in hospitals or institutions. Education that take place in other places than school most try to follow the same guidelines as his/hers usual school.  This applies to students in elementary school, compulsory school, special school, Sami school, secondary school and upper secondary school.Purpose:  The purpose of this study was to find out how three teachers at a hospital school plans their work with children in grade from 1 to 3, who suffer from cancer, especially brain tumor.  How can the teachers at the hospital school plan and organize their teaching so that it´s possible for the children whit brain tumor to feel as normal as possible. How does the common work between the consultant nurse, teachers at the hospitals and their ordinary school prevent the children to feel like an outsider?Method: I have chosen to do a qualitative study followed by three interviews whit three informants who works at a hospital school.

A QUALITATIVE STUDY ON THE EXPERIENCE OF ESCORT SERVICE UNDER THE ACT (SFS 1993:387) SUPPORT AND SERVICE FOR THE DISABLED The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences of escort service under the Act (SFS 1993:387) concerning Support and Service for the disabled (LSS) for self-determination, participation and equality of living conditions. In the results of this study appears that the escort service fulfills its role in breaking the isolation of persons with disabilities. It gives a picture of the escort service is much more than to break the isolation of people with disabilities. The aspects that emerges is that escort service gives persons with disabilities the opportunity to develop their independence, increase their self-esteem and broaden their frames of reference through increased participation in community life. All users report that they experience autonomy in the choice and order of activities within their grant initiatives.

I den dagliga vården möter sjuksköterskan ständigt situationer som har ett etiskt perspektiv. En utvecklad personlig etisk förmåga och en god kännedom om egna och andras värden är en betydelsefull del vid dessa möten. För att kunna möta etiska problem måste också den egna och patientens sårbarhet uppmärksammas och reflekteras. Sårbarheten kan ses som en tillgång, men kan också upplevas som en påfrestning som leder till känslomässig stress och ohälsa. På grund av denna påfrestning är det betydelsefullt att identifiera de situationer som sjuksköterskan uppfattar som etiskt problematiska samt beskriva upplevelsen av dessa för att kunna ge patienten en bättre vård.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskor riskerar dagligen att hamna i situationer som kan upplevas som kritiska. Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var därför att undersöka vilka händelser som sjuksköterskan upplever som kritiska och hur dessa händelser sedan upplevs och hanteras. Heideggers hermeneutiskt inriktade fenomenologi användes som teoretisk referensram i arbetet. Metod: Genom databaserna PubMed, CINAHL och Medline hittades 17 artiklar som var av intresse, efter kvalitetsgranskning valdes tio artiklar ut för att redovisas i arbetet. Resultat: Händelser som sjuksköterskan bland annat ansåg som kritiska var händelser som involverade barn, allvarligt skadade personer samt akuta händelser som kunde vara andnings- eller hjärtstopp.

With a starting point in a project for reinforcing small scale business among immigrants in Sweden, carried out within Swedish for immigrants (sfi), the aim for this thesis is to examine the project from the view and experiences of the participants. Interviews with participants in the project have been inspired by the teoretical and methodological views of Grounded Theory.The interviews show that some participants want to start their own business, but almost as many don?t have that dream. The former group all have experience of being self-employed. They are aware of the difficulties but are nevertheless determined to proceed their dream.
