BACKGROUND: Several people die every year. The numbers of deceased in Sweden were 91449 in 2008. This often brings bereavement for the relatives and in hospital with end-of-life care it can be important for the health professionals to support and also take care of the relatives. AIM: The aim of this study is to illuminate relatives? experiences of the caring situation with end-of life-care when a close relative is dying METHOD: Literature review.

Heart failure is the most common reason to hospitalization among persons over 65 years old. Self-care is an important part in the treatment of heart failure, but poor information and knowledge limits the ability of self-care and increases the risk of admission to hospital.The aim of the study was to investigate what information patients with heart failure describes that they receive from health care personal, how information is perceived, who provides the information, and on what occasions it is given. The aim was also to investigate whether patients' perception of knowledge about heart failure increased after hospitalization.The study is cross-sectional study with a descriptive design. A consecutive selection was used. A questionnaire was filled in by 28 participants.The study has shown that patients with heart failure largely experience information about heart failure inadequate.

This task can be a burden and the opportunity for the patient to die at homecan be overshadowed by obligations and responsibilities. Participation of relatives isoften the prerequisite to offer palliative care in the home environment. The purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate relatives? need of support during palliativecare in the home based care.

Det föds drygt 110.000 barn i Sverige varje år och nästan 10% behöver neonatalvård på grund av för tidig födsel eller sjukdom. I denna situation befinner sig föräldrarna i en värld fylld med oro och ovisshet över sitt barns överlevnad och utveckling, vilket kan skapa en kris hos föräldrarna. För att sjuksköterskan i omvårdnaden ska kunna bemöta föräldrar på ett adekvat sätt då deras barn är beroende av sjukhusvård, bör behovet av stöd belysas, vilket var syftet med denna litteraturstudie. Fyra kategorier speglar resultatet för att beskriva olika behov av stöd; Stöd i främmande miljö, Stöd genom att skapa närhet, Stöd genom information och Stöd genom kommunikation och delaktighet. Sjuksköterskans uppmuntran och stöd har betydelse för föräldrars delaktighet i omvårdnaden av deras barn och       därigenom få möjlighet att hantera situationen.

Abstract Background: Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease that worldwide greatly increases among children and adolescents. Major demands are required from the individual who has this disease, which also requires significant knowledge from the nurses so they can be able to develop and create individual conditions for children and adolescents. Thus, the children and the adolescents can be able to take responsibility and feel secure in their own care. The nurse's techniques and specific tools in this work are however not particularly noteworthy and therefore needs to be advised.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the experiences nurses have of supporting adolescents, between 12-18 years, with type 1 diabetes to an increased understanding of the disease and also to examine the methodological aspect data collection in the articles of this study. Method: A descriptive, literature study according to Polit and Beck (2012).

The purpose of this study is to describe if and how a seasonal based company named SkiStar, learns through the exchange of experience and knowledge. We have analyzed gathered qualitative and empirical data to explore this subject. We conducted three semi-structured group interviews with employees from the SkiStarshop division. They described their routines and procedures in SkiStarshop. The collected data was processed and analyzed through our theoretical framework.

Bakgrund: Borderline personlighetsstörning är en vanlig sjukdom på alla vårdinrättningar och många sjuksköterskor möter dessa patienter dagligen. I omvårdnaden av dessa patienter behöver sjuksköterskan använda sig av dagliga händelser för att försöka lära patienten att lita på andra människor. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att försöka lotsa patienten genom vardagen. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att möta personer med borderline personlighetsstörning.Metod: Metoden som använts är en litteraturöversikt där vetenskapliga artiklar använts som grund för resultatet. Resultat: Resultatet visar att många sjuksköterskor önskar mer kunskap om störningen och de tror att många av de problem som omger patienten beror på hur organisationen och strukturen på avdelningen fungerar. Sjuksköterskorna skulle vilja ha bättre struktur på hur de ska vårda dessa patienter och vill att arbetsplatsen ska ha samma mål med omvårdnaden. Detta presenteras i fem teman som påverkar hur bra mötet blir: Handledning/Organisation, Relationer, Erfarenheter, Attityder och Utbildning samt Empati..

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskors rätt att förskriva läkemedel skiljer sig åt mellan olika länder och infördes för distriktssköterskor i Sverige 1994. Socialstyrelsens uppföljning av sjuksköterskans förskrivningsrätt 2004 indikerade att förskrivningsrätten användes i liten utsträckning. I tidigare forskning framkommer såväl möjligheter som hinder kring förskrivningsrätten. Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka hur distriktssköterskan på vårdcentral använder sin förskrivningsrätt. Metod: Kvantitativ enkätstudie.

Bakgrund: Anorexia nervosa (AN) är en psykisk sjukdom med ätstörning och avmagring som följd av en matvägran och aptitlöshet. Den psykiska hälsan bland unga kvinnor blir allt sämre och under de senaste decennierna har förekomsten av AN ökat. Syfte: Att utifrån unga kvinnors perspektiv beskriva upplevelsen av att leva med AN. Metod: En kvalitativ studie där sex självbiografier har analyserats och sammanställts. Resultat: Fyra teman presenteras (1) att inte kunna identifiera sig med sin diagnos, (2) att finna andrum i aktiviteter och goda relationer, (3) att uppleva ett kaos av existentiella känslor och (4) att känna rädsla för det friska.

The purpose of this study is to examine if digital public libraries are serendipitous environments. Serendipity in this instance is defined as finding something unexpected and valuable, while searching for something else.A survey was conducted at two Swedish digital public libraries, where the patrons were asked to fill in a questionnaire online. The questions were based on the work on serendipitous digital environments by Lori McCay-Peet, as well as considerations of human factors that could possibly influence serendipity.The result indicate that a majority of patrons experience serendipity at the digital library, although it?s still more common to do so at the physical library or on other web sites. The result also confirms the importance of taking human factors into account when studying serendipity.

Our society is based on a heterosexual norm. This may lead to the fact that LGBT-persons have a poorer health status than the heterosexual population. The nurse education lacks information and courses that highlights sexual identity. This is defective since healthcare staff needs knowledge on the subject to be able to treat patients in a professional and respectful manner. The purpose of this study was to illustrate how heteronormativity influences the treatment of patients within a healthcare context.

This essay is about how newly graduated teachers experience their first year in teaching. The main focus is linked to the theory about the pedagogy triangle of Bermuda. It involves two dimensions with six main aspects. The first dimension is the psychosocial-, including, ambition, demands and the possibility to achieve ambition and demands. The second dimension is the didactic-, including the what-, why- and how-qustions. The results of the study shows that teachers experience their first year in teaching different, depending primarly of the ascpets of the psychosocial dimension.

This essay contains a discoursive analysis of fifteen travel reports from five of the largest papers in Sweden. The travel reports contains recaptions from wildlife tourism experiences were the predators are the main target, or at least one of the main targets. Seven of the reports are from Sweden and eight of them from Russia, Rumania, Finland, Turkey and the United States. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka sjuksköterskors upplevelse av omvårdnaden av patienten vid förändrade inskrivningsrutiner inför en operation på kirurgavdelningen på Enköpings lasarett. Metod: Kvalitativ design med deskriptiv ansats. Åtta sjuksköterskor med erfarenhet av att arbeta innan och efter de nya inskrivningsrutinerna trädde i kraft intervjuades. En intervjuguide av semistrukturerad typ togs fram med en bred huvudfråga och olika teman för att besvara syftet. En innehållsanalys på manifest nivå med en induktiv ansats gjordes.

The exposed position of a social worker entails serious demands to their working environment. The experience of the working environment is coherent with various circumstances such as physical, technical and psychosocial factors. The aim of this study is to investigate how social workers in Gotland experience their psychosocial working environment. As a theoretical ground we describe the working environment regulations and it´s framework. Previous national and international research enlighten issues such as definitions of threat and violence, the significance of education and policys within social work, social support and riskfactors.
