Spending a night out in the nature is away for many to experience a slowerpace of life. Refuge cabins are a typeof open-air facility sometimes provided for more far off locations, yet it is in the vicinity of cities and towns that the opportunity for getting out into the natural environment is mostly sought after. Several nature reservs exist around Stockholm with the good intention of promoting the opportunity for outdoor activities. The aim of this study is to investigate how the provision of refuge cabins can be a means of facilitating and augmenting outdoor life experience in a proposed nature reserv to the west of Stockholm.

Bakgrund: Sjukvården är en miljö med förekomst av arbetsrelaterad stress. På en operationsavdelning är arbetet mycket intensivt och det bedrivs högspecialiserad vård. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva operationssjuksköterskors upplevelse av arbetsrelaterad stress. Metod: En empirisk kvalitativ studie genomfördes. Fyra strategiskt utvalda operationssjuksköterskor från två olika operationsavdelningar vid ett stort universitetssjukhus i Mellansverige deltog i studien.

BACKGROUND: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a slow progressive disease affecting the family caregivers by limiting their lifestyle. Subsequently the situation can be experienced as stressful for both the afflicted and the relatives. To easier understand the needs of the caregivers of family members suffering from COPD have, it is important to get an insight into their experience of every-day life, so that medical staff can help, support and promote their health according to their needs. AIM: To illustrate caregivers? experiences of living with a family member suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

The aim of this study is to, by individual interviews focusing on specific dimensions of supervision,examine how integratively educated PTP-psychologists experience the interactionin the supervision they receive as a part of their PTP-work and to describe if and how theyexperience that these components of the supervision promote, does not exert a direct influenceon or restrain the preservation and development of an integrative psychotherapeuticapproach and -attitude. The eleven people who are interviewed for this study all belong tothe group of psychologists who graduated from the first group of psychologists with an integrativepsychotherapeutic approach at Örebro university in the year of 2007 and who arenow completing their PTP-work. The interviews were analysed according to a qualitativecontent analysis. The results show that ten out of eleven PTP-psychologists experience thatthe interaction in the supervision is either good or excellent and that this promotes or doesnot exert a direct influence on the integrative approach.Keywords: Supervision, PTP-psychologist, integrative approach..

The power of the meeting is a qualitative study primarily examining how homeless men and women and social workers experience the meeting between them. The homeless are the more vulnerable part in these meetings so their experience of these meetings is my focus in this study. I have in this paper also examined and analyzed how and whether homeless women and men tends to be treated and ad-dressed differently with basis on their gender. The main results I have found is that the homeless but also social welfare officers actually feel that there is com-municative problems when the parts meet and cooperates which often results in conflicts and lack of trust. I have chosen to highlight a number of factors that have been claimed as the main reasons for the experience of a poor meeting.

AbstractBackground: An elective surgery can be something new that is frightening and unpleasant. The children and their individual needs are not always considered when surgery is prepared. Children?s needs differ and depend on their sense of coherence. Aim: The purpose of this study was to illuminate how children experience preparations before elective surgery.

The study has been performed through qualitative interviews with administrators of nature reserves. Being in action the administrators must know how to communicate with people. Kompetensområdet sjuksköterskans arbetsledning av omvårdnadsarbetet är ett tämligen outforskat ämne. Mer kunskap om läkare- och undersköterskors syn på vad som innefattas i sjuksköterskans arbetsledning skulle kunna bidra till ett bättre samarbete som på sikt kan gynna omvårdnadsarbetets utveckling och därigenom även patienten. Syftet med studien är att få ökad kunskap om läkare och underskö-terskors syn på vad som innefattas i kompetensområdet sjuksköterskans arbets-ledning av omvårdnadsarbetet. Metoden som användes var en empirisk intervju-undersökning där urvalet bestod utav fyra läkare och fyra undersköterskor. Mate-rialet analyserades med innehållsanalys, inspirerad av Burnard (1991).

Patients with heart failure have a high mortality and often readmits to hospital care, due to a lack of compliance in the treatment plan. Patient education on self-care provided by nurses is important in improving patient and clinical outcomes.The aim of this study was to describe effects of nurse led interventions of patient education for elderly patients with heart failure. Literature study based on nine quantitative scientific articles. The results shows that different nurse led interventions of patient education with patients with heart failure had positive effects on self-care management, quality of life, health related quality of life and hospital care. E-mail reminder to community nurses and telephone education shows to be the most effective patient education interventions.

Bakgrund: HIV är ett globalt problem med cirka 30-36 miljoner människor som har sjukdomen. Generellt har människor med HIV-smitta sämre hälsa och känsla av sammanhang, behovet av information har hälsorelaterad påverkan på patienter.Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva sjuksköterskans kunskap och dess betydelse i vården av patienter med HIV-smitta.Metod: Studien består av en litteraturöversikt innehållande tretton artiklar med såväl kvantitativ som kvalitativ ansats.Resultat: Sjuksköterskor har viljan och anser att de behöver lära sig mer om sjukdomen. Positiva attityder gentemot patienter hör samman med bättre kunskap. Utbildning om HIV minskar rädsla och ger sjuksköterskor större förståelse för diskriminering och stigmatisering.Slutsats: Kunskapen hos sjuksköterskor har betydelse i vården av patienter med HIV-smitta, den visar sig i attityder och ställningstaganden samt rädsla och stigma. Kunskapen minskar rädslan hos sjuksköterskor, vilket leder till en god vård för patienterna.

This study examines the players experience, environments and objects in the videogame World of Warcraft. The purpose of this study is to get more knowledge about the players experience in the game with the focus on factors contributing to some form of immersion or/and presence. The data for this study were gathered using interviews as method and then analyzed with relevant literature in the chosen field. A game content analysis and a group of questions are tested with the results of the study which is presented at the end in with an analytic discussion. .

Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskans upplevelser av plötslig oväntad död relaterat till sig själv och mötet med anhöriga.Metoden var en beskrivande litteraturstudie baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar utifrån databaserna Cinahl och PubMed. En metodologisk granskning genomfördes också av artiklarnas urvalsmetod.Resultatet visade att sjuksköterskorna upplevde att de saknade utbildning och kunskap i att ta hand om anhöriga vid plötslig oväntad död. De anser att det är deras arbetsuppgift att ta hand om anhöriga till patienter som hastigt avlidit och de beskriver att de upplever detta som tungt och ledsamt på ett personligt plan. För att bearbeta dessa känslor anser sjuksköterskorna att de finner det bästa stödet i att prata med kollegor inom personalgruppen.Slutsatsen är att en kunskapslucka finns hos sjuksköterskan gällande oväntad död och omhändertagande av anhöriga till patienter som plötsligt avlidit. Adekvat utbildning inom området skulle leda till ökat självförtroende och kompetens i att hantera svåra situationer och därmed ge ett bättre omhändertagande till anhöriga..

This two years master?s thesis is about book circles for children, arranged by the public libraries in Sweden. The purpose is to gain knowledge about how children experience their participation in book circles, and how they experience their own reading. It focuses on children aged 10 to 12 years, and their leisure reading. The research questions are: What are the book circles? function for the participants? How and why do the children read? What kind of literature do they like? Do the children experience that their reading has developed through their participation in the book circles? What parts of the reading process do the book circles influence?The theoretical framework is threefold.
