Palliativ vård är en speciell vårdform som inriktar sig på att ge lindrande vård till patienter som lever med en livshotande sjukdom. Den inriktar sig på att lindra patientens obehag och lidande, öka välbefinnandet och skapa förutsättningar för en förbättrad livskvalité. Själva sjukdomen står inte i fokus i den palliativa vården och den erbjuds därför människor med obotlig livshotande sjukdom. Syfte: Syftet var att genom en litteraturstudie beskriva faktorer som sjuksköterskor anger upplevelsen av palliativ vård. Metod: För att ge en objektiv och systematiserad sammanfattning av den befintliga kunskapen görs en litteraturstudie.

The upper secondary school 2011 (Gy 2011) was a reform which created large changes in the Swedish educational system. One of the major changes was the requirement of certification for sport schools. Schools in Sweden have historically used sports in their marketing, this opportunity was impaired by the reform. This thesis aims to investigate how brands are applied on webpages of sport schools that are certified in football and/or cross-country skiing. Content analysis was used as method of data collection.

The purpose of this essay is to examine whether and how labor consultants, job coaches, guidance counselors promote the possibility of self-realization of the clients they encounter in their work. By analyzing, based on the theoretical framework, six semi-structured interviews of people having the chosen professions answer the questions "Do counselors promote client's opportunities for self-realization in their work?" and "If so: how is this practiced?". In the theoretical framework three important concepts are addressed: "identity", "recognition" and "self-realization". These are explained with the help of works by including Emma Engdahl, Anthony Giddens, Axel Honneth and Allison Weir.

Elite sport is becoming more professional, and elite athletes have to be more committed to spend several hours in training to achieve elite level and this means that the time to pursue a university academic career to the side of elite sport is minimized. Still only few elite athletes will be able to make a living of their sport. The objective of this study is to gain a better understanding of the opportunities and difficulties for a student who combines academic study with elite sport. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with eight students studying at the University of Umeå, combining elite sport with academic studies. Results show that there are high demands on elite students to structure and plan for the combination of studies and elite sport.

The aim of this study was to understand how three selected football associations in three counties in Sweden work to include children and adolescents with disability in the age of 7-20 in their organization.  For this study we have used a qualitative method. The data have been collected through using semi-structured interviews with coaches and representatives from the board. When analyzing the data, we used Charles Tilly's theory Durable Inequality and research within the area of inclusion within sports, the significance of activities and the inequality within sports. The conclusions of the study showed that there was a stated lack of knowledge in the associations when it comes to their work with young people with disabilities and also in their work with the policies.

Bakgrund: Det sociala stödets inverkan på barn och ungdomars idrottsutövande är en betydelsefull faktor i strävan att uppnå inte bara goda idrottsresultat utan även en allmän positiv utveckling av fysiskt, psykiskt, socialt och kulturellt välbefinnande. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att utforska det sociala stödets inverkan på barn och ungdomars idrottsutövande. Design: Litteraturstudie. Metod: Författarna har använt sig av databaser och elektroniska tidskrifter för att samla in vetenskapliga artiklar på engelska. Elva artiklar valdes ut.

Bakgrund: Att utvecklas från student till sjuksköterska är något som sker i flera steg. Utbildningen har fokus på teori och de nya sjuksköterskorna har svårt att överföra teoretiska och praktiska kunskaper in i praktiken och känner därmed att de inte kan uppfylla de krav och förväntningar som ställs på dem inom professionen.Syfte: Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vara ny i yrket.Metod: En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats och en beskrivande design. Fem nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor intervjuades och datan analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Fyra kategorier beskriver upplevelsen av att vara ny i yrket: (1) Känslor kring sjuksköterskerollen,(2) Stöd på arbetsplatsen, (3) Från ny till en i vårdteamet och (4) Kraven inom professionen. Slutsats: Studiens resultat visar att det är en utmaning för nya sjuksköterskor att kunna balansera mellan deras självupplevda kunskapsnivå och de krav som sjukvården och professionen ställer på dem. Det är inte utbildningen i sig som bidrar till att deras kunskaper inte upplevs som tillräckliga, utan ett flertal olika faktorer.Klinisk betydelse: Studien riktar sig främst till sjuksköterskor, verksamma lärare och chefer inom sjukvården med intresse för hur nya sjuksköterskor upplever den första tiden i yrket..

The aim of this case study was to investigate the role of leadership and interpersonal relations among staff during implementation of lean at a University Hospital in Sweden. The 15 respondents were leaders and staff members from different wards and clinics, who had started working according to lean principles. One of the methods used was explorative, low structured interviews. Other methods used for gathering information about the case was attending lectures about lean healthcare at the hospital, part-taking in the lean game and reading articles about lean and the implementation in both daily press and on the intranet of the hospital. The results showed that an open and accessible leader that coaches his/her staff and supports their work, helps the staff to develop a lean identity.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur barns språk främjas och utvecklas hos förskolans yngsta barn och på vilket sätt detta genomförs i praktiken på förskolan. Studien genomförs med fokus på innehållet i samlingar. Samlingarnas innehåll analyseras med Vygotskijs teori i åtanke genom att intervjua förskollärare och observera samlingar med fokus på de tre teoretiska begreppen involvering, delaktighet och autonomi. Resultatet visar att förskollärarna använder sig av principerna involvering, delaktighet och autonomi genom samlingarnas olika återkommande aktiviteter såsom upprop, högläsning, ramsa, sånglek och avslutning. Studien visar även att förskollärarna följer två olika modeller som består av Bornholmsmodellen och förskollärarnas egen modell.

This report describes how I worked with a spatial information problem, where the focus was to produce clearer barriers between horses and spectators at equestrian competitions. My background as a competition rider, combined with my knowledge of the spatial design, has caused me to react to how the information on riding and racing facilities deficiencies. Experienced people in the riding know how they should act with the horse. But novices who are unfamiliar with the situation is not aware of the risks it may pose to move among horses. The study was conducted on the national facility Strömsholm which both experienced and novice equestrian visits.

Young people may be socially and psychologically strained due to unemployment. In the long run, it could result in learned helplessness, which is, according to Seligman (1993), a psychological condition with similar symptoms to the ones that occur during depression. The condition develops when an individual experiences negative events and, after various unsuccessful attempts to escape or conquer them, the individual finally believes that there is no relation between behavior and consequences. The result is often that the person gives in, or stops, making an effort when new difficult situations occur. There is respect for the history of dance and my aim is to find out how the history affects the dancing youth today. The design of the dance lesson is often of a traditional stereotypical manner, both didactic and methodic, and it rarely appears to be questioned. I have danced for almost 20 years and I am a part of this tradition of movements, music, language and way of ?being?. My ambition with this study is to go outside my own experience and offer insight and an overall picture of a, for the outsider, closed world.

Swedish agricultural businesses are facing challenges in order to achieve long-term profitability. The opportunity to improve profitability and efficiency on farm level may be enhanced by management. One way to work with leadership is to use Lean. It is a management system that aims to improve competitiveness. Currently, there is a project where Lean is implemented into 100 agricultural firms.

Since the mid 1900s the organizational perspective in media producing companies has changed. The focus has shifted from just being a laborer to the person behind the effort. The most important for an efficient and smooth organization is the motivation of the employees and the social working environment. Former research argues that managers must be coaches and that crucial factors for the survival of organizations are creativity, innovation and adaptability. With this study we investigate what motivates employees to use their creative skills.
