I detta arbete kommer barnens utformning av deras könsidentiteter i förhållande till sina kläder att diskuteras. Metoden som använts är fokusgruppsintervjuer med barn i fem-sexårsåldern. Intervjuerna har utförts på en förskola i en storstad med en könsblandad grupp och två könshomogena grupper. Barnen använder främst kläder och färger för att visa sin tillhörighet inom en viss grupp, flicka eller pojke. Kläderna och färgerna som barnen använder är till stor del könsnormativa.

I denna studie undersöker vi hur två utrikespolitiska aktörer, USA och EU, i tre empiriska fall tolkat element ur folkrätten. Vi låter två diskurser som bottnar i FN-stadgans rättighet till självförsvar samt en nyare norm som berör statens ansvar att skydda sina medborgare belysa hur aktörerna förhållit sig till folkrätten.Genom en kvalitativ textanalys av aktörernas folkrättsliga beteende i dessa fall visar vi att båda aktörerna söker att förankra sitt utrikespolitiska agerande i folkrättsliga termer. Vidare visar vi att folkrätten är ett tänjbart begrepp för aktörerna, framför allt för USA.Med hjälp av en teori om att det internationella systemet i första hand är strukturerat av folkrätt förklarar vi det båda aktörerna säger folkrättsligt, medan det de faktiskt gör måste förklaras med hjälp av andra teorier inom internationell politik..

Trots att kvinnor varit yrkesverksamma sedan många år tillbaka, är kvinnor kraftigt underrepresenterade på högre nivåer inom organisationer och näringsliv. Kvinnor är lika högutbildade som män och når ändå inte de högre positionerna. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka den problematik kvinnor i chefsposition ansett sig stöta på i deras strävan att göra karriär inom deras yrkesliv. Halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med sex kvinnor med chefsbefattning inom den privata sektorn. Resultatet analyserades enligt induktiv tematisk analys.

The theoretical framework is based on Yvonne Hirdman?s theory on gender system, primarily the two basic principles: the principle of dichotomy, of separation between the sexes, and the principle of hierarchy, of man as norm. This essay studies the funnel-beaker ceramic in connection with the megalith graves in South Scandinavia. In my work I have described the nature of ceramics and looked on the crockery types and ornamentation and then discussed the use of the material in a ritual perspective. In the first part I have focused on the critical aspects you have to think about when you do a study like this one. In the second part of this essay I have done a case study, with the ceramic material, in three passages graves in the area of Falbygden, Western Sweden and studied the ceramic material and the nature of it in South Scandinavia as well. Then in the third I discussed the potential use, there is two, of the ceramic material in general of South Scandinavia and looked at it in a ritual perspective..

Skellefteå kommun införde 2005 källsortering av matavfall, de har vid två tillfällen sedan dess genomfört plockanalyser för att se hur noggrant invånarna sorterar sitt avfall. Man såg då att det utsorterade matavfallet hade hög renhet men i det brännbara fanns det fortfarande kvar en del matavfall. Detta bör förbättras.I denna uppsats undersöks hur källsorteringen har utvecklats, vilken information invånarna har fått och hur andra kommuner arbetar. Vilka slutsatser kan dras utifrån detta och vad kan man göra för att förbättra källsorteringen av matavfall?Information har samlats in från Skellefteå kommun och tre andra kommuner har tillfrågats hur de arbetar med källortering av matavfall.

Gyms are populated by more and more people and there is an increased interest in wellness and health. However, there is a downside to the culture that people choose to step into. Exercise can go too far and take unhealthy directions. The purpose of this study is to examine how norms are created in the gym culture and how unhealthy behaviour is reproduced inside the walls of the gym. We have also done research about how a local gym identifies and handles deviant behaviour such as the use of doping and eating disorders.

This study is focused on representations of power and masculinities in the movie ?Warrior?(2011). By using the notion of interdiscursivity, as discussed by Norman Fairclough, my goal isto analyze how the roles of the characters relate to existing discourses in today?s society. I amprimarily interested in discourses revolving around MMA-fighters, masculinities and familyrelations.The movie to be analysed in this study is suited for interpreting new sorts of masculinitiesthrough the sport of MMA, which itself is fairly new and therefore might represent a new type ofmasculinity in the making.

The aim of this study was to examine which norms are applicable and how they are reproduced in two sports organisations. More specifically the aim was to find out how the leaders worked with gender roles and what message the organisations give out to young people. And at the same time, find out if there are similarities and differences between two different organisations, regarding norms and gender roles.  The study was based on observations and interviews. The observations were made during and after training in an ice hockey team and two gymnastic teams for girls nine to thirteen years old. The interviews were conducted with seven leaders and one senior ice-hockey player.

This masters thesis is a study of how the expression quality literature is used in widespread newspapers and magazines. Wittgensteins idea of language games is used as a theoretical starting point. The analysis of 37 articles draws a picture of five language games that are called; the taking over, the polarising, the example giving, the gender critical and the ironic language game.
