Purpose/aim: This study was performed in order to describe how Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is reported in Swedish daily newspapers during a five-year period. MMA is a relative new sport in Sweden and it is important that the description by the Swedish daily newspapers is accurate and balanced. Then this sport will have the same opportunities to grow as already well-established sports in Sweden. Material/Method: The material consists of 159 articles from six different daily newspapers gathered from 2006-12-07 to 2011-12-07. Quantitative content analysis is used to investigate how the newspapers describe MMA. The result from this quantitative analysis are then compiled, analysed and discussed by applying theories of agenda setting, framing and moral panic. Main results: The result shows that the Swedish daily newspapers give a relative neutral and balanced picture in their coverage of MMA but they are affected to a certain degree of moral panic.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka utbytets och malningens inverkan på NSSC-massans egenskaper.En laboratoriestudie genomfördes där massan kokades till olika utbyten och maldes vid olika insatser. Resultatet av den studien användes sedan för att ställa om kokaren och raffinörerna på lämpligt sätt vid fabriksförsöken. Massaprover togs ut efter det andra kvarnsteget och skickades för analys.

Mediation of fiction for adult users in Swedish public libraries is a subject which has been little studied from a theoretical perspective. The motivation for this thesis was based on this realization, and the opinion that actual library users too seldom get their voices heard in library and information science-research. The thesis analyzes interviews with seven library users in which they have been asked to talk about the librarys work with mediating fiction. The answers are analyzed using a discourse analytic approach to see how the librarys work with mediating fiction is constructed in the users talk.Two main discourses are identified, one authoritative and one neutral. In the authoritative discourse librarians are talked of as experts who have the knowledge to guide users to the ?right? literature.

Vad människor väljer att äta har stor betydelse för deras hälsa och idag är det mångamänniskor som lever ohälsosamma liv vilket bland annat beror på just bristfälliga kostvanor.Kolhydraternas roll i kosten har på senare tid varit omdiskuterad och kan ha skapat enförvirring kring om och/eller varför kolhydratrika livsmedel bör ingå i kosten. Dåkolhydratrika livsmedel enligt Livsmedelsverket är viktiga ur både hälso- och miljösynpunktär det av intresse att undersöka vad människor tycker om dessa och vilka de väljer attkonsumera. Syftet med studien är därför att undersöka kvinnors attityd och beteende medavseende på kolhydrater i kosten samt om kvinnor har kännedom om kolhydraters påverkanpå hälsa och miljö. En kvantitativ metod användes där enkäter skickades ut till kvinnor viaden sociala nätverkstjänsten Facebook. Theory of Reasoned Action användes som teorietiskutgångspunkt.

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur asylhandläggare på Migrationsverket uppfattar sin roll och sitt handlingsutrymme. Därtill hör även att utifrån den teoretiska ansatsen problematisera uppfattningarna för att undersöka om handläggarna kan förstås som neutrala verkställare enligt ett Weberianskt idealbyråkratiskt perspektiv eller snarare som närbyråkrater med stort handlingsutrymme enligt Michael Lipskys teori. Därutöver utgör en viktig del av syftet att problematisera utfallet av handläggarnas roll och handlingsutrymme för att belysa detta utifrån demokrati-, legitimitets- och rättssäkerhetsaspekter.Uppsatsen kan förstås som en fallstudie där metoden för undersökningen utgjorts av samtalsintervjuer. Det empiriska materialet utgörs således av intervjuer med sex asylhandläggare från två olika asylenheter i landet. Samtliga respondenter har erfarenhet av att handlägga ärenden med humanitära grunder.I uppsatsen har jag kommit fram till att sättet på vilket asylhandläggarna själva uppfattar sin roll och sitt handlingsutrymme främst kan relateras till en neutral verkställarroll enligt en Weberiansk modell.

Uppsatsen behandlar översättningen av de fem första kapitlen i Rapt à Bamako, som är ett autentiskt översättningsuppdrag och som kommer att publiceras av Bokförlaget Trasten under hösten 2010. En översättningsprincip för det aktuella uppdraget har bestämts utifrån översättningens förutsättningar, bestående av teoretisk bakgrund, måltextens syfte och kontext, genomgång av referenstexter samt en stilstudie av källtexten. Det framkommer att den kontextuella och lexikala nivån var de som gav upphov till mest svårigheter under översättningsarbetet, men att en stor del av de problematiska översättningsfrågorna kunde lösas med hjälp av översättningsprincipen i fråga..

This is a study of how young flutists experience playing their instrument and having music lessons, especially what they think is most enjoyable. 27 flutists between the ages of 8 and 19 years old, from three different municipal schools of music in central Sweden, were interviewed during spring 2000.Some of the conclusions are that enjoyment coincides with meaningful when you are in a musical context, and when your progress is confirmed by the teacher.The study is to be seen as some examples of different things that young flutists find enjoyable. It is not an enumeration of recommended items in teaching, rather some thoughts about the positive experiences of playing the flute, and how teachers may relate to that..

It is however difficult to completely eliminate the need for inventory and warehouses in a supply chain. The purpose of warehousing is to provide a service for the customer. By keeping what the customer demands in inventory it is possible to make a quick delivery when a need arises.

Den här uppsatsen belyser hur Tysklands förbundskansler, Angela Merkel, representerades i svenska och spanska nyhets- och opinionsartiklar på webben mellan datumen 3 januari 2011 och 29 december 2012. Merkel blev en allt viktigare politiker inom EU i och med eurokrisen som tog fart år 2008, då Tyskland var ett av de länder som gav mest pengar till de stödlån som EU utfärdade till bland annat Spanien. Idag anses Angela Merkel vara en av Europas viktigaste politiker, främst då Tyskland som ekonomisk stormakt inom EU har ett stort inflytande vad gäller beslutsfattanden i EU-frågor.Vi analyserade fyra tidningar med olika politisk bakgrund: Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, El País och ABC. Studien baserades på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys kombinerat med en kvalitativ textanalys. Den kvantitativa undersökningen fungerar som en översikt och belyser hur stor plats rapporteringen om Angela Merkel tar upp i svenska och spanska webbtidningar, under vilka kategorier artiklarna faller in samt vilken narrativ roll Merkel tillskrivs.

Companies constantly strive for the perfect order which enables them to satisfy and retain their customers. This is a difficult process that can be facilitated by using different picking technologies. In this study, a research of the picking technologies Pick-to-Light and Pick-to-Voice have been made to investigate when each technology is suited.In order to collect relevant information and data to be able to answer the question formulation, a qualitative study with interviews have been made. The purpose of this essay was to investigate Pick-to-Light and Pick-to-Voice to see when each technology is best suited and to see what the differences between the technologies are. With our essay we wanted to help manufacturing companies to make the right decisions when implementing a picking technology.The results showed that those picking technologies give companies a higher picking quality and an increased work efficiency since the order picking is faster to perform, and that picking errors are reduced.

The GCM application relies on the services provided by the organization GS1, which supplies global specifications and validations for trade items across several sectors. GCM is updated regularly due to the frequent changes in specifications from GS1.
