The background of this study stemmed from the notion that the majority of homeless women with substance abuse, most of all, wanted a secured place of their own to stay. Few involved professionals agreed and instead of perceiving housing as a human right the women were mostly offered various types of short-term social housing. The purpose of this study was thus to examine and analyze how professionals attached to the social services and public housing companies in Gothenburg explained that homeless women with substance abuse were excluded from accommodation on the open housing market. The qualitative approach included ten interviews with eleven professionals in Gothenburg. The theoretical framework consisted mainly of Bourdieu's analytical concepts of field, doxa as well as social, economic and cultural, alongside symbolic capital.

The purpose of this study was to examine if women's career was affected by becoming a mother after 35 years old. It was also our intention to discover if it was an intentional or an unintentional choice to postpone giving birth just for the sake of the career. We have read articles that are implying that women´s career possibilities, combined with children, is difficult and of current interest in today's society. Science has shown that it no longer appears to be women's main life objective to give birth but they now also wants a career. We wanted to shed some light on the subject from two different angles, so we looked both from the women's perspective and from the employer's perspective.

Att interagera med ett system genom att använda naturligtspråk görs genom att använda ett Natural Language Interface (NLI) som innebär svårigheter för både system och användare. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om taligenkänning är en användbar inmatningsmetod för naturligt språk baserat på ISO-definitionen av användbarhet. Detta gjordes genom att utveckla ett spel baserat på det klassiska textbaserade spelet Zork där användaren ger kommandon i naturligt språk som sedan användes för en användbarhetsstudie. Studien utfördes med mellangruppsdesign med två grupper av användare där den ena gruppen använde tangentbordsinmatning och den andra taligenkänning med Web Speech API. Både kvalitativ och kvantitativ data insamlades under testet om användarnas effektivitet, beteende och uppfattning av systemet.

Background: Pedagogical documentation is currently used as a natural part of the educational activities under the revised curriculum for preschool.Aim: The purpose of this study is to see how preschool teachers perceive and define educational documentation in preschool. The aim is also to see what opportunities and obstacles that may arise over the pedagogical documentation.Method: The study was conducted along a qualitative approach with questionnaires in order to reach more preschool teachers and thus obtain a broader picture of the subject content. The numbers of natural disasters caused by extreme weather are increasing through out the world. A large majority of the research concerning the climate shows that this is a trend that can be expected to continue. At the same time the urbanisation is increasing more than ever and for the first time in history more than fifty percent of the population lives in a city. How we build these cities will have a crucial importance for our adaption to the new climate. In Sweden, our capacity for an adaption are high because of our economic situation as well as our rather well built society.

The natural disasters of recent time have caused the people of Sweden to donate very large amounts of money to different fundraising organizations. With this in mind, we found it interesting to examine the extent of disclosure in the annual reports of the Swedish fundraising organizations. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify which factors that influences the extent of disclosure of accounting principles in the annual reports of Swedish fundraising organizations. To fulfill this purpose we conducted a content analysis of 149 annual reports from Swedish fundraising organizations. To help us explain the levels of disclosure we applied stakeholder theory, institutional theory and legitimacy theory.

Enligt en rapport från Socialstyrelsen 2013 framgår det att få förskolor arbetar systematiskt med att förebygga en miljö där allergi kan uppstå. Ca 80 % av landets förskolor hade fuktskador eller en konstruktion som innbar en förhöjd risk för fuktskador. Endast 40 % av skololorna hade ett ventilationssystem som godkänts genom en så kallad godkänd ventilationskontroll.Barn är inkännande. De absorberar och uttrycker det som vuxna i deras omgivning medvetet eller omedvetet projicerar. Om de känner sig trygga och glada är det en reaktion av de vuxna som omger dem.

An absolute majority of all Swedish children begins to attend preschool at some point between the age of one and five. The acclimatisation to preschool means a great change in every small child's life. They leave all that is well known, the parent and their home, to face a whole new environment with new kids and adults to get to know and learn to trust.The purpose of this study has been to find out how the professionals in preschool reflect upon the child's acclimatisation at preschool. More specifically we wanted answers to how the preschool teachers, in their work with the child's acclimatisation, relates to the today, in preschool, much debated relationship between the two perspectives care and pedagogy.This qualitative study is based on ten interviews with preschool teachers at different preschools in a small town in Sweden. The analysis is based on a presentation of the interview material compared with earlier research and the theoretical aspects we have chosen, which are Bronfenbrenners Ecological Systems Theory and the Object Relations Theory.While working with this paper it has come clear to us that there is no explicit or common definition of the concept of care within preschool, while there is a clear definition of the concept of pedagogy.

In the palliative care there are many close encounters between the care-taker and the care-giver. To be touched is foundational to every human being and the care-giver shows his presence to the care-taker, when he touch the care-taker. Touch is an important tool for the care-giver in the care for the care-taker. It becomes a natural way of communicating. The aim of this literature study was to describe which factors that are important, for the care-taker in the palliative care, to receive touch in the purpose of feeling well-being.

Jag har i denna uppsats genomfört de empiriska studierna vid AstraZeneca i Lund. Personerna som intervjuades arbetade i olika former av virtuella team, med kollegor såväl inom Sverige som utomlands. Genom den snabba tekniska utvecklingen under senare år har det uppstått nya möjligheter för människor att kommunicera med kollegor som är fysiskt placerade utanför det lokala kontoret. Samtidigt är många företag verksamma på global basis i likhet med det undersökta företaget AstraZeneca. I mitt uppsatsarbete har jag haft för avsikt att undersöka vilka faktorer som är särskilt betydelsefulla för att få ett väl kommunicerande och fungerande virtuellt team.

AbstractVarför ser det ut som det gör inom den svenska akademin? Vilka är orsakerna till att män och kvinnor väljer olika utbildningar och karriärvägar inom högskolan? Inom området jämställdhet och högskolan finns många olika teorier kring de faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen. De vanligaste metaforerna som används är den läckande pipelinen och glastaket som båda beskriver olika typer av jämställdhetsproblem. Vårt mål med den här studien har varit att dels se hur teoribildningen har utvecklats inom området och dels att göra en analys av vilka olika faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen på två institutioner vid Lunds universitet.Vi har valt att göra en komparativ studie mellan två institutioner som skiljer sig åt, inte bara ämnesmässigt utan framförallt i fördelningen av kvinnor och män på allt från grundutbildningsnivå till de högsta akademiska nivåerna inom institutionen. För att kunna göra vår jämförelse mellan institutionerna har vi dels samlat en del kvantitativ data i form av statistik och dels genomfört intervjuer med de båda institutionsledningarna.Vårt resultat visar på en rad faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen.
