By transcribing one drum solo recorded and performed by myself and another performed by Philly Jo Jones, a drummer I?ve heard and listened to through out my life, I try to find answers to the question: How much are we influenced by the music and the musicians we listen to?My experiment starts with me recording a improvised drum solo and then transcribing it. Then I found and transcribed a drumsolo by Philly Jo Jones that I had not heard before. The results of these experiments showed some interesting similarities between my own playing style and Philly Jo Jones and I learned a lot about what stuck with me from listening to him playing, and what didn?t..

This thesis has aimed to study steering process and institutionalization in the context of educational policy work. This has been conducted by using empirical material from the political decision-making process that preceded the implementation of a new national program on how principals should be educated and certified. By using an aggregated theoretical point of view containing new institutionalism and traditional Swedish curriculum theory, the process was analyzed from different perspectives. The results depict a process that contained several actors who tried to shape the principal education program differently. From the theoretical perspectives, the decision-making process could be understood as an act of both self-interest as well as trust in their own beliefs and cultural values.

Tyngdpunkten ligger på att klargöra Henzes syn på musikalisk interpretation ur sitt perspektiv som tonsättare och hans syn på konstnärlig frihet för de musiker som framför hans verk. Relationen mellan tonsättare och interpret i processen av tillblivelsen av ett verk studeras också i anknytning till Henzes egna resonemang kring interpretation och kompositionsprocessen. Uppsatsens huvudfrågor och delmoment kommer fortlöpande att belysas och ställas i relation till konkreta exempel i diskuterade form. Undersökningen är främst baserad på litteraturstudier. Litteraturen behandlar i huvudsak ämnena musikestetik och musikalisk interpretation, samt gitarren som instrument och dess repertoar från senare hälften av 1900-talet och framåt.

"Låtskrivande" handlar om mitt arbete som gick ut på att fo?rso?ka hitta mitt egna musikaliska uttryck och att utveckla mitt la?tskrivande samt mig som artist. Genom a?ren har jag breddat mig mycket musikaliskt men inte riktigt fokuserat pa? att helhja?rtat ga? in i vad jag som artist och la?tskrivare vill fo?rmedla och uttrycka.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether students? previous musical knowledge affected the rating achieved in the subject of music. My empirical material consists of interviews with three professional music teachers in local secondary schools. Two of the three teachers felt that they were not able to devote time for the students who had previous musical knowledge. Students from all schools said that teachers addressed more to help those students who found it more difficult to learn.

Storform är ett viktigt element i varje pianists utveckling. För att kunna nå en optimal teknik i de olika musikaliska typerna inom storform, som sonater och konserter, måste pianisten genomgå en väg som är full med teknisk övning. Övning ger i sin tur en alldeles särskild möjlighet att vara reflekterande, samt att äga sitt lärande. Det är en utmanande och livslång process att utvecklas som musiker. Faktiska problem med teknisk inlärning av storform i pianospel är grundläggande i mitt arbete.

The study aims to illustrate how women victims of male violence in intimate relationships are treated during the legal process and with professional perspective describe what women?s experiences considered to be in the legal process. The study also aims to draw attention to the interventions for abused women during the legal process.The results are based on interviews with professionals in the justice system, and on observations in the courtroom. Overall our results show that abused women are in need of a great quantity of help and support before, during and after the negotiation. The legal process is very stressful for the women.

The purpose of this study is to investigate ethnic discrimination in the recruitment process. National and international law protect individuals from ethnic discrimination by potential employers during the recruitment process.Despite the laws in place to protect human rights, minorities in society do not have the same opportunities in the labor market as the rest of the population. Minorities continue to have difficulties compared to Swedish nationals in the recruiting process. Highly educated immigrants seeking employment in Sweden continue to report being treated unfairly based on their ethnic background.Ethnic discrimination in the recruiting process is based on prejudice and stereotypes that affect decisions whether it is visible or hidden, intentional or unintentional.Under the law, it is not legal to base a decision on prejudices or stereotypes. Therefore, it is important for the employer to highlight the job requirements to ensure the recruitment process is ethical.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the innovation process of companies, and to analyse how important success factors and obstacles are in their innovation process.Method: The investigation strategy used for this essay was to interview companies that work with innovations. The essay has a qualitative approach. Both primary ? in the form of interviews - and secondary data ? literature found in books, scientific articles and internet - have been used to achieve our results.Results: The result of this essay is: there is not just one inovation process that is applicable to all companies. Denna studie handlar om musikaktiviteter i förskolan och bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer av pedagoger samt observationer i verksamheten. Syftet är att få ökad förståelse för förskolans arbete med musik och få insikt kring vilken roll pedagogerna har för barnens musikaliska utveckling. Resultatet visar på att musiken utgör en stor del i förskolan men pedagogerna saknar musikalisk utbildning, de eftersöker till viss del större kompetens genom bredare utbildning i lärarhögskolan. Resultatet visar att de planerade musikaktiviteterna styrs av pedagogerna och används främst som ett verktyg för social och språkligutveckling.
