Genom att undersöka hur mycket av några masteringsteknikers personliga ideal och tidigare erfarenheter, med musikalisk bakgrund och smak, som hörs från masteringsprocesser av förelagda inspelningar av musik inom olika musikstilar är syftet att bidra med kunskap om hur mycket av de tidigare musikaliska influenserna en masteringstekniker tar med sig in i en masteringsprocess, och ses som användbar för fortsatt forskning inom ljud- och musikproduktion. Jag har låtit tre masteringstekniker under enskilda sessioner mastra tre ljudsekvenser, där jag även har observerat deras tillvägagångssätt, utfört intervjuer och sedan på egen hand granskat materialet genom att lyssna och titta på deras bearbetningar av ljuden. Slutligen har jag låtit fem vana lyssnare bedöma och kommentera mastringarna i form av en lyssningsundersökning. Utifrån observationerna, samtalen och min granskning tyder resultatet på att det personliga idealet och tidigare erfarenheten främst hörs i mastringar utförda av personer som är djupt rotade i sin favoritgenre och låter de idealen och arbetsmönstren även påverka mastringar inom främmande musikstilar.  .

Cycle time has a direct influence on number of returnable crates needed and therefore a crucial parameter for cost structure and pricing of the user fec in the pool system.For providing the growing market, number of crates has to increase as well as the utilization of existing crates. To accomplish this aim, cycle time for the whole supply chain has to be fully unravelled and understand.The purpose is to map cycle time and stock movements, to see how, where and when crates are being used in the supply chain. The goal is to make a method of cycle time calculation, together with suggestions of improving the pool system and decrease cycle time.The study has been a combination of qualitative and quantitative research and comprises the three biggest wholesalers in Sweden; ICA, Coop and Axfood. Furthermore have 65 grocery shops, connected to the wholesalers, been investigated and mapped.The study has come to a conclusion that cycle time for an average returnable crate is 19 days. The full-size and half-size crates have a bit longer cycle time, 21-22 days, while Dual Height-crates and shallow haif-size crates have 17-18 days.

Real-time systems are required to answer to external stimuli within a specified time-period. For this to be possible, the systems behaviour must be predictable. The use of active databases in real-time systems introduces unpredictability in the system, e.g. due to their use of active rules. The behaviour in active databases is usually specified in ECA-rules.

Through the notions of the untimely (l'intempestif) and untimeliness (intempestif) this paper seeks to gain a better understanding of the problematic surrounding and determining the concept of time in Deleuze. By tracing Deleuze's development of the concept of the untimely through Nietzsche and Kant, we are allowed to concretize the concept of time as pertaining to an experience of modernity (modern life), thus enabling us to better determine the place it holds within the philosophy of Deleuze itself - as a constitutive and productive problematic relating directly to the activity of thinking and being philosophically..

Syftet med denna studie är att med hjälp av litteratur samt intervjuer och en observation undersöka hur de på en skola arbetar med Howard Gardners multipla intelligenser. Observationen kommer att genomföras under matematiklektionen i två klasser där eleverna är mellan sex och nio år gamla. Vi kommer även att genomföra två intervjuer med pedagogerna i klasserna vi observerat samt rektor på skolan. Genom observationerna och intervjuerna har vi sett likheter med den litteratur vi hittat om Howard Gardners teori och hur de arbetar på skolan vi observerat. Resultatet av observationen visar att eleverna arbetar med arbetsschema där de sju första intelligenserna som är lingvistisk (språklig) intelligens, logisk-matematisk intelligens, taktil-kinestetisk (kroppslig) intelligens, visuell-spatial intelligens, musikalisk intelligens, interpersonell (social) intelligens och intrapersonell (reflekterande) intelligens, används i olika uppgifter.

Swedish agriculture stands in front of big changes the whole time. As a milking producer you have to adapt and develop the company to these changes and find the best solution. This potential is easy to find if you compare your company with other similar companies. Labour cost is the biggest cost in milking production after the cost for food. Today it is rather easy to measure how many hours per cow different system of cow houses needs, but we do not know so much about how many hours it takes to breed a calf. To learn more about the labour time with the calves during the first time after the calf was born, I made time studies on five different farms with calf hutches, automatic milk system, large calf boxes, and smaller calf boxes with teat buckets.

The purpose of the work is to analyze and balance an assembly line at Fläkt Woods in Jönköping. The work is going to answer the questions about today?s throughput time, how much waste that occurs, number of staff at the assembly line, how the supply of material works and possible improvements that can be made at the work stations. The work is also going to give a proposal of improve-ments that can be made.The methods used to get the result include observations and measurements, con-versations with technicians and operators and also data from Fläkt Woods? data-base.Large variations in throughput time are measured during the measure period, from 3 hours up to 5 hours and 35 minutes.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur predetermination (förutbestämda kompositionsregler) påverkar kompositionsprocessen och upplevelsen av musiken hos lyssnare. Genom analys av min egen kompositionsprocess, litteraturstudier och intervjuer med tonsättare behandlas i uppsatsen olika sätt att arbeta med predetermination, resultat av att arbeta med förutbestämda kompositionsregler och skäl till att tonsättare väljer eller väljer bort att arbeta med predetermination. Undersökningen visar hur en viss regelstyrning kan vara till hjälp i kompositionsprocessen men även hur det kan vara hämmande att arbeta med predetermination. Lyssnarupplevelsen undersöktes med en enkätundersökning. Två par egna kompositioner ? två poplåtar och ett stycke för kammarensemble i två satser ? har spelats upp för musikhögskolestuderande.

The title of this study came about from the title of Robert Putnams book Bowling Alone, where Putnam mentions that less people are bowling in teams than before. Bowling is still a large leisure activity in the USA but people tend to bowl more and more in small groups and less in organized teams. This study deals with social capital and leisure time. Its aim is to find out if some Swedish people create social capital on their leisure time and also how do they spend their leisure time. Robert Putnams book Bowling Alone serves as main background material along with the work by Bo Rothstein.

Syftet med kandidatarbetet är att skapa musik till en folkgrupp som saknar en etablerad musikkultur. För att göra detta valdes folkgrupper ut ur den fiktiva spelvärlden Drakar och Demoner: Trudvang. Fornnordisk kultur var en inspiration till Trudvang och detta studerades för att påvisa likheter till folkgrupperna i Trudvang. Parallellerna mellan de olika kulturerna blev uppsatsens förundersökning. Uppsatsens förundersökning resulterade i att det finns en efterfråga på musik i spelet varpå två folkgrupper från Trudvang valdes ut för gestaltning med musik, alferna och virannerna. Baserat på instrument som samerna och anglosaxarna kunde tänkas använda producerade vi musik till den andra delen av forskningen. Musiken undersöktes genom att dela ut en enkät till erfarna spelare på spelets forum för att bestämma huruvida gestaltningen av alferna och virannerna var lyckad. Resultaten visade att det lämpar sig att gestalta dessa folkgrupper med den producerade musiken och som ett resultat ge dem en musikkultur..

Stress and time pressure is more present in todays labor markets. In financial markets a securities broker is forced to take decisions on investments under high cognitive load and under extreme time pressure. The research of decision under risk gained new ground with the development of the prospect theory and gave us new insights to the decision making of men. Prospect theory has shown that people are risk seekers when dealing with loss decisions and risk avert when dealing with profit decisions. The value function are defined over gains and losses.

During the last years around 100 000 immigrants have arrived to Sweden, people with different reasons and different goals for settling down in Sweden. The reason for immigrating to Sweden that will be dealt with in this thesis is following immigration, i.e. when someone moves here because they have relatives living in the country.The reason why it is interesting to study following immigration is that it is an affecting factor for how many that will immigrate to Sweden the following years and may then be used to make a forecast, based on how many first time immigrants there are. To be able to investigate the following immigration analyses are made with time series, logistic regression and Poisson regression. An ARIMA-model has been used to estimate the number of following immigrants in the future.The other part of this thesis will inquire the matter how inclined immigrants are to become Swedish citizens, whether they even apply for citizenship and also how long time it takes from the time when they fulfil the conditions for Swedish citizenship until they apply.

Studien är en föremålsanalys med semiotik som metod, och är en jämförelse mellan det konceptuella konsthantverket och kläder från varumärket Viktor & Rolf som drivs av Viktor Horsting och Rolf Snoeren. Syftet är att analysera hur två utstyrslar från Viktor & Rolf kan definieras på olika sätt när de placeras inom olika områden. Dessa områden är klädkonst, mode och konsthantverk. Här tolkas även hur de sammanhang som utstyrslarna visas inom  (modevisning & museum) påverkar definitionen av dem. Frågeställningarna lyder:Hur påverkar sammanhanget föremålets identitet?Hur kan ett och samma föremål tolkas när det placeras in i områdena för mode, konst och konsthantverk?Vad krävs för att ett föremål ska kunna betraktas som ett superobjekt?Analysen uppmärksammar några aspekter av hur vi definierar och tolkar föremål.

Minimizing power consumption is a critical part of many embedded design projects. Thechallenge is to limit the power consumption of the system and at the same time providesatisfactory service to the user. With regards to microprocessors, the main way of limiting powerconsumption during program execution is to adjust the frequency and the voltage at which theprocessor operates.To enable the implementation of real-time scheduling with support for dynamic voltage andfrequency scaling, an exhaustive study of the Freescale i.MX31 embedded microprocessor isperformed. Specifically, the power consumption relationship to all relevant frequency andvoltage settings is investigated. In addition, to enable frequency and voltage scaling in a real-timeenvironment, a complete timing analysis of proposed voltage and frequency scaling methods isperformed and their suitability for use in real-time systems is evaluated.To integrate voltage and frequency scaling capability into OSE RTOS, a software module hasbeen developed for this operating system.

The last few decades the development in the field of electronics has been huge. The components performance gets better at the same time as the manufacturing cost decreases. Many of the design moments that have to be done, are done automatically today, but it can get better. Especially for analog circuit design.At Electronic System in Linköpings universitet, research is in progress to develop a tool that can design analog circuits in reasonable time. It means that it has to size the components (transistors, resistances, capacitances etc), so that the circuit can fulfill the performance requirements.
