Rabbits carry a high risk of anesthesia related death. This study was part of a project to develop a form of total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) with minimal effects on cardiac, respiratory and metabolic parameters. In the study, TIVA with sufentanil and midazolam (group TIVA, n=9) was compared with inhalation anesthesia with sevoflurane (group SEVO, n=9) in female rabbits undergoing surgery (ovariehysterectomi). All rabbits were pre-medicated with medetomidin and carprofen before anesthesia induction. Anesthesia was induced with TIVA (2.3 ?g/ ml sufentanil, 0.45 mg/ ml midazolam) at a rate of 4 ml/ kg/ h and the mean induction dose was 0.4 ?g/ kg of sufentanil and 0.1mg/ kg of midazolam.

Tanken med den här uppsatsen var att undersöka om musik kan användas som ett didaktiskt verktyg i skolans verksamhet i fler ämnen än bara musikämnet och om det här bidrar till en positiv påverkan i läroprocessen.För att komma fram till det här bestämde vi oss för att genomföra kvalitativa intervjuer, där vi intervjuade två stycken pedagoger och en musikterapeut. Frågorna vi ställde till de intervjuade handlade om musikens betydelse för dem och vad de anser händer med människan vid musikalisk aktivitet samt hur man på bästa sätt integrerar musik i undervisningen. I vår undersökning jämförde vi sedan de tre intervjupersonernas svar och kopplade samman svaren med litteraturstudier kring ämnet musik i läroprocessen.I vårt resultat framkom det att musik är ett viktigt redskap för lärande och att musik bidrar till att befästa kunskaper men det framhävdes även att musik kan vara ett orosmoment för vissa elever och att det därmed också missgynnar inlärning. Det kan dock generellt sägas att enligt vår undersökning är musik ett glädjefyllt moment i sig.Är man bara medveten om syftet av användandet av musik i övriga ämnen så kan det påverka läroprocessen på ett positivt sätt..

Construction companies are frequently criticized for high prices and long construction time. At the same time, statistics shows that construction workers are on the sick-list for occupational injuries or casualties more than other groups at the labour market.Skanska built a block of flats with tenant-ownerships in Gävle. The construction consists of concrete walls with in-fill walls in the front. The purpose with this degree project is to perform a risk analysis in work environment with focus on repetitive strain injuries and control the time report for in-fill walls manufactured in a field factory. The result of this project will help to make more realistic cost predictions in the future.This degree project has been performed in cooperation with the construction company Skanska.

Sleep is essential for all mammals and they all have different sleep patterns. Wild horses normally spend 2-8.5% of a 24-hour period in recumbent position while stabled horses lie down 11-20%. To fulfil the need of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep the horse must lie down with support against the ground for the head. The lying behavior can be affected by external stimuli such as age, food intake, bedding materials and if the horses feel safe or not. This study investigates the lying behavior of horses on different bedding materials; wood shavings and filled rubber mats (HIT SoftBed®).

I arbetet studeras möjligheten att använda inspelningsteknik som ett verktyg i en kreativ musikalisk process, som en hjälp för att analysera och bedöma musikers insatser för att tydliggöra och förbättra prestationen. Studien behandlar frågan om inspelningar kan vara ett aktivt hjälpmedel vid komposition och om det är möjligt att använda i formellt pedagogiska miljöer för individuell utveckling och ensemblespel. Studien har genomförts vid ett tillfälle, med fyra musiker som utifrån ett grundmaterial, improviserat, arrangerat och spelat in en låt tillsammans. Inspelningarna har gjorts i en studio med datorbaserad inspelningsteknik och analyserats och värderats utifrån studiens syfte och presenteras tillsammans med en ljudinspelning på CD med material från inspelningen. Reflektion och bedömning av materialet och metoden har skett i samtal mellan musikerna under inspelningssessionen.

Denna studies syfte har varit att undersöka pedagogiska och didaktiska aspekter i pianoskolor för nybörjare. Detta har gjorts genom en läromedelsgranskning av pianoskolorna Vi spelar piano 1 av Carl-Bertil Agnestig samt Pianoresan 1 av Galina Sjevtjenko och Natalia Kazimirovskaja.  Resultaten av denna granskning har relaterats till olika pianotraditioner, pedagogiska teorier samt forskningsarbeten. Det slutgiltiga resultatet visar vilka undervisningsmetoder som används i de båda böckerna samt hur böckerna är uppbyggda. Pianoskolorna har undersökts utifrån deras innehåll vad gäller låtval, musikalisk progression och musikaliskt uttryck. Undersökningen visar bland annat att uppbyggnaden av Vi spelar piano 1 påminner om Rostvall och Wests schemateori för att hjälpa eleverna att uppnå kunskap.

A system is said to be based on surface interaction if it presents content on a two dimensional, endless surface that a user navigates through zoom, pan and incremental text filtering where processing is tightly coupled with the content without breaking the workflow. C3LOOPS is designed to encourage improvisation and collaboration. During improvisation changes occur rapidly. Allowing navigation through time as well as the two spatial dimensions of an interaction surface the possibility of unlimited undo operations opens up.

I detta arbete har vi undersökt hur fyra olika musiklärare når instrumentalelever med olika förutsättningar och personligheter genom att göra lektionerna så motiverande och givande som möjligt. Vi skapade fyra fiktiva elever som hade olika förutsättningar, ålder, personligheter och befann sig på varierande musikalisk nivå. Vi gjorde fyra intervjuer med bas- och ensemblelärare på kommunala musikskolan om hur de skulle gå till väga om de skulle undervisa dessa elever. När intervjuerna var gjorda jämförde vi informanternas tankar om individualisering med våra egna för att sedan framställa lektionsförslag för de fyra eleverna. När våra lektionsplaneringar var klara utvärderade vi dem för att se vilka för- och nackdelar förslagen hade.

This thesis considers the development of the software for an, newly developed, embedded real-time control system, based on a Periferal Interface Controller (PIC). The control system is developed to be used for several different applications. In this thesis work, software for two different applications are developed. The first task is a time controlled system, while the other task is implementation of aPI-/PID-controller. A user interface is also developed and implemented.The time controlled system is an automatic horse feeder, which is used for feeding horses at certain predefined points in time.

English title: Part-time work among women in Sweden ? what influences choice of working hours? In the 1960s and 70s a large growth in part-time work amongst women in the Swedish labour market took place. A net inflow of workers into the labour market has been suggested as the main source. However, part-time work is still a common phenomenon among Swedish women; in 2004 almost 40% of all women worked part-time, and women are clearly dominating the part-time sector. A gradual changeover from house work to market work is hardly a valid explanation anymore.

The purpose has been to investigate leisure-time centers actual work on children with attention deficit disorder. In addition, the study strives to make leisure-time centers way of working, in relation to their assignments, visible. The study has also compared how the leisure-time centers work and what the research says. The survey was conducted with the help of three exploratory interviews with pedagogues and three-piece observations at the leisure-time centers. It was carried out at three different schools in two counties in Sweden.The results of the survey show that the schools are trying to create clear procedures, though the centers succeed with this in varied degrees.

The aim of this essay is to get a deeper understanding of a teachers' profession and to get knowledge of how earlier experiences can influence you as a teacher. I have interviewed a female teacher, Pia to get this understanding. As a tool to get the teacher's whole story I used the life story method. In her profession she is influenced by her own importance of security as a child.Her own needs of security has given her an deeper understanding for pupils like herself during the childhood; insecure and afraid. Her understanding for all kinds of behavior among the children has increased by her own experiences.The story shows that Pia is frustrated by the fact that she can't control her own working time.
