This study begins in a previous benchmarking study made by one of Sweden?s teachers unions Lärarförbundet. This is a statistical study that ranked the Swedish Municipalities against each other?s according to their accomplishments in a number of areas related to their school systems.

This study is an examination of the stadium fever prevailing in Sweden. It is built stadiums in Sweden as never before. The high cost of these constructions end up in the end at the Swedish taxpayers. The study examines through the hedonic pricing of real estate how local residents value the new stadiums. The result indicates that local residents put a positive value in the costly and sumptuous buildings.

This report concentrates on why more people do not choose an environmentally friendly car instead of a conventional car. To find this answer we have used theories that include decision - behavior and environment - philosophy. We have also made four surveys, which includes several interviews. The results of these interviews, together with the secondary data we have found, have been analyzed against the theories made by our choice. We have found that the stimulus that we have today isn?t enough to make more people choose an environmentally friendly car instead of a conventional car.

Forests affect its visitors in many positive ways. It is the acknowledgement of this fact that has prompted an EU-LIFE sponsored project entitled ?Urban forests for mankind?. It aims to lure or welcome more citizens near urban forests to experience nature in its many forms. In Sweden, three Municipalities have decided to take the lead in this effort. In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

This work deals with the introductory course for immigrants (Introduktionskurs för invandrare ? IVIK) in the Swedish Municipalities. I have studied how the participants in this education are brought into a Swedish understanding of religion, both in the formal SO (social studies) and when it comes to informal transferring of values.I have interviewed teachers and school leaders, interviews which I have then analysed.To understand the educational environment, I have used Antonio Gramsci´s theory of hegemony, as I perceive it, as well as Michel Foucault´s ideas of power and knowledge.I have found that fostering into a ?Swedish? view on religion appears in the education, implicitly as well as explicitly, though the informants tend to have an ambivalent opinion as to how this should be carried out, and to which extent..

The first regulation concerning the protection of shores was introduced in 1950. The purpose of that regulation was to "secure the general publics condition of an outdoor life". The protection has been sharpened over the years and in 1975 a general protection of the shores was introduced, which meant that all land was protected within 100 meters from the shoreline. In 1994 a supplement was made with the purpose to "preserve good conditions for animal and plants on land and in water". The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) did an inquiry of the shore protection regulations commissioned by the Government in 2001. The inquiry pointed out that there were big lacks in the exemption decisions.

The purpose of the study is to get a deeper understanding in how the teachers work withthe students during the pedagogic meal. This by observing teachers during the schoollunchand see which pedagogic activities takes place. The paper intends to investigatehow teachers relate to, and act according to the guidelines that are applicable to theeducational meal by both the Swedish government and the schools.The study was conducted with the help of observations studies in two elementaryschools. The purpose of this study was to examine the mediators' views on their work; mediation by reason of the breach. The starting point was to find out the mediator's approach and attitude in relation to the perpetrator and victim, and the prevailing regulatory framework. After review of the literature, we came to the realization that knowledge of this area was very limited and thus presents an unexplored topic. It emerged from the results that the mediators emphasize the importance of maintaining impartiality and neutrality in the process of mediation and that it is important to create a good relationship with both parties. The purpose of this master thesis was to study the librarians?assignment at the public accesses computers, especially howthe librarians perceive what their task is and what their taskshould be.In order to answer these questions a series of ten qualitativeinterviews ?inspired by the phenomenographic approach ?was conducted with librarians who were employed at smallpublic libraries in Municipalities with 5 000 - 25 000residents in Sweden.The conclusions in the master thesis were that librarianshave both similarities and differences in how they perceivetheir tasks at the public computers. 2004, the SSR, Akademikerförbundet, made a study on the threats and violence as a social secretary in the municipal social services are exposed in their occupation of the "social secretary of threats and violence at work" (T-110192), conducted by Temo ab. We have chosen to use the study on a smaller scale and then made contact with five Municipalities in the middle of Sweden to investigate social secretaries experiences of threats and violence. Using the cross-sectional design and a convenience sample, we have gained access to data from 56 people. From a sociological perspective, we have chosen to use Norbert Elias theory of universal configuration and interdependence, and Michel Foucault?s theories concerning power search explanation for the existence of threats and violent situations in the contact between social workers and their clients..

The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish Municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

 Abstract This paper is to examine a specific integration projects by the name of SFINX, the participants' perspective. We chose to highlight three themes that concern the analysis what the participants thought about the content / efficacy, effectiveness and efficiency analysis, which means what the participants thought could be improved in the project. What emerged in our study is that research shows that Swedish education with professional orientation and integrated practice is a key factor for migrants to get into the Swedish labor market. And that Sfx teaching has been implemented in several places with good results. SFINX is also a Sfx project but is addressed to engineers.
