Sweden signed, in 1992, the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and has thus assumed responsibility for the indigenous biodiversity. That also means that Sweden has a conservation responsibility for the Swedish Friesian (SLB) (SJV, 2007a). In a survey conducted by the Board of Agriculture (SJV) in 1996, it appeared that there were around 780 cows and heifers of the SLB breed (SJV, 1997). SJV did in 2006 a plan for the development of livestock genet-ic resources and the number of cows of SLB was estimated at approximately 200. This meant that the SLB was in need of being conserved and SJV assumed it would be categorized as threatened.The primary objective of conservation of a breed is to reduce the loss of the original genetic variation (Lacy et al., 1995).

Traditional retouching, where you make the body of a female model in a magazine thinner, has been common for a long time and is well known. Several studies indicates that showing ultra-thin images of female bodies in media can lower the body satisfaction of ?ordinary? women which in some cases can lead to dangerous eating disorders. But in 2010 Swedish female magazine VeckoRevyn introduced a new type of retouching: Making some catwalk models bodies bigger instead, which we decided to call opposite retouching. This kind of retouching is aiming to widen the ideal picture that is sent out of how the female body should look like, and therefore having the readers reach a higher body satisfaction and becoming more at peace with the own body.

Do the principals who have the pedagogical responsibility of the school find reading comprehension important? This is the underpinning of my thesis for the special teacher-training program. The survey was conducted through interviews with two principals. The results show that they believe reading comprehension is important but it has not been given priority in the organization. This paper examines the reasons behind firms considering backsourcing. While firms experience problems with their outsourcing activities, backsourcing emerges as an alternative solution. Firms primarily take cost considerations into account when reconsidering their outsourcing practices, but this only scratches the surface. A deeper analysis is needed, since cost increases arise from issues such as quality defects and cooperation problems. Even though production costs are low, outsourcing always implies transaction costs.

The aim of the study has been to explore certain aspects of implementation perspectives and to analyse the introduction of an environmental management system called ecoBUDGET in the Municipality of Växjö. A framework has been developed through thorough studying of earlier research in the field of policy implementation in public administrations. The number of young people that graduate from upper secondary education has decreased while a growing number of young people are in an outside position in the sense that they neither work or study or have any other known occupation. In addition to this the labour market has gone trough changes, which has brought difficulties for some groups to establish themselves on to the labour market. One of the groups that have been affected by this is the young people. As an answer to the increasing number of young people in an outside position, a new law was introduced on the 1st of July 2005. The law is called (kommunala uppföljningsansvaret) and it stands for the municipality's responsibility to follow up on young people between the age of 16-19 years that is not enrolled in any upper secondary school and that does not have any other known occupation.The purpose of this essay has been to examine how the responsible administrations in Helsingborgs municipality view their responsibility to follow up young people between the ages of 16-19 years and the practical application of the law, and also if they can see any risks with not following up on young people in that age span.

The aim with this report is to formulate a strategic method to optimize selection processes of DNA-samples from a faeces inventory to identify as many individuals in as few analyzes as possible, and by that keep down the costs of brown bear management. Brown bear management in Sweden founds today on results from faeces inventory and is substantially led by the county administration boards. Data from the years of 2004 and 2009´s inventories in Västerbotten was used to test and evaluate different methods in selection processes of which faeces that should be sampled. Comparison were made between making selection by chance, by spatial distribution and by calculating variations in logistic regressions coefficient b, in other words bear density and probability in finding same individual in several faeces. We can show making selection by chance is the most uncertain method.

Denna fallstudie har sin grund i socialt ansvarstagande och behandlar komplexiteten kring hur små- och medelstora företag arbetar inom området i Kina där socialt ansvarstagande ses som ett hinder, men också har kommit att uppmärksammas i allt större grad på senare tid. Mindre företag har en kritisk betydelse för att socialt ansvarstagande skall fungera i sin helhet, men det är ingen självklarhet hur dessa företag skall arbeta med socialt ansvarstagande på grund av avsaknad av forskning på området. Studien syftar därför till att beskriva och analysera hur svenska små- och medelstora företag påverkar sina kinesiska intressenter inom socialt ansvarstagande. För att uppnå studiens syfte har intervjuer genomförts med tre personer från olika företag med ansvar för företagens sociala ansvar i Kina.Studien visar att kineser har en mycket låg medvetenhet kring socialt ansvarstagande och större fokus ges istället till finansiella mål. Socialt ansvarstagande ses som ett hinder för ekonomisk tillväxt av kineser i allmänhet och för att kunna påverka kinesiska intressenter behöver företagen därför påvisa en ekonomisk nytta med det.

Den ökade transparensen i samhället har bidragit till att allt fler företag aktivt arbetar medCorporate Social Responsibility, CSR. Tyvärr är det många verksamheter idag som inte får tillräckligt mycket uppskattning för deras CSR-policy. Detta är för att den externa kommunikationen gentemot konsumenter inte är optimal. När konsumenter inte har kännedom om företagets CSR försvinner mycket av den konkurrenskraft som CSR bidrar med. Samtidigt kan en överdriven marknadsföring av företagets CSR-policy medföra en motsatt effekt.

Företagens sociala ansvarstagande, det vill säga Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), är ett aktuellt ämne som ofta diskuteras och uppmärksammas i såväl medier som också hos företagsledare. Det kan finnas flera förklaringar till att företag väljer att ta ett frivilligt ansvar. För att kunna få en fördjupad förståelse för företagens samhällsengagemang är det därför angeläget att identifiera vilka drivkrafter som ligger bakom ett CSR-arbete.Syftet är att beskriva varför de undersökta företagen arbetar med CSR samt att identifiera de främsta drivkrafterna bakom de undersökta företagens CSR-arbete.Studien baseras på en kvalitativ insamlingsmetod i form av telefonintervjuer. Det för att erhålla djupare förståelse för varför företag arbetar med CSR. Intervjuerna hade en semistrukturerad karaktär och genomfördes med respondenter från sex företag, vilka samtliga bedriver ett aktivt CSR-arbete.
