The purpose of this study is to search and analyze different logics that operators use in the work of helping juvenile delinquents to break their criminal behavior. New institutional theory is used in this study to analyze the results. The study was conducted through qualitative interviews of six professionals in two municipalities which work with juvenile delinquency. There are two questions that we want to address in this study. The first one is what methods the social workers are using in two middle large municipalities to help youth to brake there criminal behavior.

Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera de mest förekommande stressorerna hos ungdomar på internetforumet terapisnack.com. Genom granskning av 200 inlägg undersöktes dessutom skillnader i kön, ålder samt förekomst av multipla stressorer. Genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys visade resultaten att fler tjejer än killar skriver på terapisnack.com och att de upplevda stressorerna skiljer sig åt mellan könen.

Creativity and innovation have become two very important concepts in today?s society where the demand for these abilities are sought after. At the same time, the school system of today follows a more traditional outlook on what learning and knowledge means.The extend students ability to understand and elevate their motivation is possible through creative methods of working. This thesis treats a new perspective in the theory of classification, the context-based approach. The aim is to find out what kind of value this new approach can have in the process of creating a classification scheme for a special library collection. The first question to be answered is how the context-based approach works in a real life. The second question investigates which role the research in this particular area might have. Illustrating a real-life situation, the unit of Rättsmedicinalverket in Linköping serves as the object of study.

This Masters thesis work describes a comparison between two different methods for estimation of the down channel (base station to mobile subscriber) in Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA). The first estimation method, Optimal Feed-forward Channel Estimation (OFCE), is a conventional method that bases the estimates on data that is known to both sender and receiver, so called pilots. The second method, Decision Directed Channel Estimation (DDCE), is an elaboration of OFCE. It also uses user data for estimation. Simulations show that DDCE, in comparison to OFCE, does not attain an improvement in signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) for high bit error rates (BER).

In order to get a better understanding of the interaction between employees and their technical work tools one needs to know what factors influence the interaction. The purpose of this study was to examine if there is a correlation between the personality traits Extraversion (E) and Neuroticism (N), tested with Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI), and experience of the new Intranet among employees at The Swedish National Transport Administration (SNTA), and also to gather information of employees? opinions about the new Intranet. A survey, containing questions about the Intranet and a personality test (EPI), was posted on SNTA?s Intranet for eight workdays (N = 88, females = 53, males = 35).

Forskning har visat att self-efficacy, självkänsla, KASAM och locus of control alla har en effekt på graden av upplevd stress. Dock inte alla tillsammans, vilket denna studie avsåg att undersöka samt deras inbördes relationer och vilken variabel som predicerar stress bäst. Högskolestudenter (n = 65) svarade på varsin enkät. Resultatet visade att alla variablerna hade signifikant negativ korrelation med upplevd stress. Ju högre nivå på variablerna desto mindre stressade var studenterna.

Myleom är en cancersjukdom som uppkommer i benmärgen. I Sverige insjuknar ungefär 500-600 personer i myelom per år. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att med hjälp av de sex dimensionerna av smärta belysa upplevelsen av att leva med sjukdomen myelom. Studien genomfördes utifrån en teoretisk referensram. För att få en helhetsbild av individernas upplevelser av sjukdomen redovisas resultatet utifrån sex dimensioner av smärta.

Arbetet innehåller en översikt av kartläggningsmaterial som är speciellt anpassade till elever på tidig utvecklingsnivå med flera funktionsnedsättningar. Med hjälp av intervjuer undersöks vilka kartläggningsmaterial som används i verksamheterna. Huvudresultatet visar att pedagogerna använder nulägesbeskrivningen i den individuella utvecklingsplanen som kartläggning och inte de anpassade kartläggningsmaterialen. Grafiska dokumentgränssnitt används av de flesta datoranvändare. Det finns i huvudsak tre typer av dokumentgränssnitt; MDI (multiple document interface), SDI (single document interface) och TDI (tabbed document interface). I ena halvan av arbetet har dessa tre analyserats utifrån en rad faktorer med målet att se om någon modells fördelar väger över de andras och om man kan skapa några riktlinjer för när det är bäst att applicera respektive modell när man utvecklar en ny programvara. Analysen är baserad på litteratur samt kvalitativ enkätundersökning och programtest. Andra delen av arbetet har ägnats åt testa om det går att programmera så att slutanvändaren kan välja den modell han eller hon föredrar.

Sexual dysfunctions concerning women with multiple sclerosis (MS) are common. Since the disease preferably affects young individuals when establishment of family occurs, the result of these problems have a great impact on the individual and her family. The purpose of this literature review is to throw light upon these problems and respond the questions if the nurse may be the right person to give sexual counselling and in which way this may be done. The theoretical framework was Antonovsky´s concept "sense of coherence". The result is presented in four themes: bodily aspects, social aspects, information/counselling, and practical implications for nurses.

Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) is not a completely new phenomenon, yet an idea whose time has truly come. To have commercial organizations cooperate with charity organizations for mutual profit is a "win-win-win" situation. The company gets added value to its brand, the charity organization gets to collect more money that it otherwise wouldn't and the customer gains a feeling that he or she has contributed to the society.The purpose of this thesis is to study how a company, in practice, works with CRM marketing. How do they choose which charity organization to work with,what type of product is most appropriate to market with CRM and how is the CRM campaign designed? A theoretical model is then formed to answer these questions, after a thorough research of relevant theory on the subject.

Abstract Background: More and more people receiving palliative care in the home, leading to increased responsibility for the next of kin. Being a caregiver and at the same time next of kin is a complex situation for everyone involved. Next of kin´s everyday life changes drastically when everything revolves around the one who is seriously ill.Aim: To describe next of kin´s experiences of being caregivers to a palliative sick person at home. Method: A literature review in which eleven qualitative scientific articles were analyzed and summarized. Results: The results revealed three themes; experience of support, experience of changes in life and experience of strategies.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to examine outlines of literary history for students at upper secondary school from a gender studies perspective. Earlier theoretical work concerning outlines of literary history is sparse. There are three dissertations, but none with an explicit gender perspective. The theoretical approach comes mainly from theories in literary historiography and gender research. Also discussed are the following concepts: canon, literary field and literary valuation.
