Logistics planning for a construction site is usually limited by traffic flow to and from the workplace. The geographical location of the construction site is determined by roads around the workplace and opportunities for well-functioning logistics. Inventory of material is often impossible because of the frequently small workspaces. As a result, a concern relating material handling remains . Even before the establishment of a construction site, it is required in the construction industry to eliminate errors that might arise in the planning stage.

ABSTRACTBackground: Obesity and overweight are health issues that more than every tenth person around the world suffers from and the number of individuals with BMI >30 is every growing. As a result, more patients that are subjects to anesthesia will have an increased BMI. Changes in respiration, airway anatomy, altered drug metabolism and multiple physiological changes in the body makes general anesthesia, of the patient with obesity, an anesthesiological challenge.Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the specific anesthesiological nursing care of the patient with a BMI >30, undergoing general anesthesia.Method: A research plan is created and to test its credibility, a pilotstudy of 15 surveys in two surgical departments will be conducted. This study has a qualitative inductive design and the data collected through semistructured questionnaires. The result was analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Result: The result showed a clear focus on three main areas; airway management, pharmaceuticals and positioning of the patient.

Cattle have a species specific movement pattern when lying down and getting up. They need sufficient space for their heads to perform these movements normally. The aim of this study was to investigate the lying down and getting up behaviour of beef bulls at a Swedish farm operation. The hypothesis was that bulls older than 10 months (over approximately 400 kg) were disturbed by a horizontal front rail and that the time to lie down and get up differed from what can be regarded as normal based on earlier scientific studies. The bulls were Swedish Red and White (SRB), Swedish Friesian (SLB) or crossbreeds of these two, and were kept in a cubicle system with a stall front design where there was a horizontal rail 40 cm above the stall floor.

The Sweden Democrats achieved great progress in the latest election in the Swedish municipals. The party is now closer than ever concerning reaching the Swedish parliament. This thesis examines the Sweden Democrats in the Swedish municipals with the aim to find out which municipal factors that led to their progress. By looking at the percentage share of unemployment, the percentage share of foreigners, the percentage share of education, average income, traditional political colour, average age, criminality, early representation of a party hostile to foreigners, the municipal type and the sickliness in the municipals I find out which factors explain the progress of the Sweden Democrats. The thesis is an empirical quantitative study build on statistics by the help of regression analysis and diagrams.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om de veckoeffekter och veckodagseffekter som observerats såväl internationellt som i Sverige även kan observeras på den svenska valutamarknaden för de tre valutorna; US-dollarn, euron och det brittiska pundet. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån den kvantitativa metoden med en deduktiv ansats. För att uppfylla uppsatsens syfte har den multipla regressionsmodellen med tillhörande dummyvariabler och hypotestester samt en variansanalys använts. Två undersökningar har genomförts, en med veckoindelning och en annan med veckodagsindelning. Uppsatsen utgår huvudsakligen från teorin om den effektiva marknadshypotesen (EMH).

Verotoxinproducerande E. coli, VTEC är en zoonotisk bakterie som kan orsaka allvarlig sjukdom hos människa. Forskning kring VTEC har framför allt varit inriktad på nötkreatur vilka tidigt utpekades som en viktig smittkälla för människa. Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this paper is to describe how a number of strategically selected employees at the Swedish Institute, with the purpose to promote Sweden in the world, look at the challenges facing Sweden concerning nation branding in the new era of cooperation within the European Union. I examine how these people look upon the work of public diplomacy and nation branding in order to actively participate and influence the EU's common communications platform.Material/Method: The method used in this thesis is qualitative interviews. The reason why I chose this method is because I consider it to be the most appropriate in order to collect information about how these selected employees at the Swedish institute regard the challenges that lay ahead in terms of nation branding within the European Union.Main results: On the basis of the results I have gained by dint of the analysis, it can be concluded that it is of utmost importance to take the societal changes, which are a result both of the worldwide globalization and the EU cooperation, into consideration when designing a future communication strategy for the Swedish Institute. The nation-state continues to play an important role in Sweden, but its importance is declining as the EU cooperation is progressing. The citizens? identity plays a crucial role in designing a nation?s communications strategy, and from the analysis I conclude that we move not from a Swedish to a European identity, but towards a pluralistic union where multiple identities meet under one umbrella; the EU..

Bakgrund: Rätt kunskap och kompetens är ytterst central fråga i ett kunskapsintensivt företag. Den samlade kunskapen är kunskapsföretagets viktigaste tillgång. De människor som besitter denna kunskap är livsviktiga för företagets långsiktiga överlevnad och får inte släppas. För att kunna behålla och även utveckla medarbetarna inom företaget är det viktigt att medarbetarna känner starkt engagemang för företaget så att de stannar inom och arbetar mot företagets strategier och mål.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera och analysera engagemangspåverkande faktorer i kunskapsföretaget SwedPower AB, samt testa tillämpbarheten av vedertagna engagemangsteorier.Genomförande: En kvantitativ tvärsnittstudie med hjälp av en enkätundersökning hos de anställda på SwedPower AB vilka är verksamma inom en kunskaps- och teknikintensiv bransch. Studiens resultat analyserades med hjälp utav statistiska beräkningar i SPSS.Resultat: Vår studie har visat indikationer på att i den kunskapsintensiva organisationen SwedPower AB som präglas av en konsult karaktäristiskt arbetsform påverkas en individs engagemang till stor del skilt från vad andra engagemangsteorier menar.

Integration is a concept that is very topical in today's multicultural-cultural society. Integration means that everyone should have the same rights, opportunities and obligations to society, regardless of extraction. What counteract integration is segregation, which implies a distinction between different groups and where there exist an inequality between them. Segregation is widespread in Sweden today and the exclusion that it creates needs to be broken. The aim of this paper is to examine if it is possible to promote integra-tion through physical planning.

This means that you do not longer have a set workstation of your own, you move around according to where to your current work will be best performed.  Problem                           We want to explore how the communication within a company?s departments has been affected by the introduction of an activity-based office design.Purpose                             The purpose of this study was to get an understanding of how this office design could effect the communication within companies that uses it. Further more, we wanted to study the effects that this kind of office would have on the communication within a department.

This study deals with the road freight sector's capital structure and how leases, loans and equity affect the ratios. The study is based on a ten-year period between 2000-2010 in Sweden. Investments in finance is a complex and interesting subject to study, there are many factors that can affect how the company best choose their investments when they have many great business investment the decisions plays a greater role. The aim is to find an optimal capital structure from a financial investment point of view. The purpose will be answered by the following research question: Are there significant differences between leases, loans and equity financed fleet of factors, profitability, tax, turnover, age, and cyclicality. The study will also examine how debt is related to profit margin, DuPont and the tax, all through a regression analysis. Then were plausible economic theories for the study.

Vad är val? Är de val vi har våra egna? Spelutvecklare idag kämpar med spelares fria vilja då detta kan orsaka problem. Till exempel när spelare gör val som spelutvecklare inte har räknat med, vilket som följd kan skapa frustration hos båda parter. Problemet med spelares oförutsägbarhet i sina val är något som spelutvecklare ständigt har försökt lösa. Idag finns det flera tekniker som syftar till att diskret manipulera möjligheten till val inom spel och samtidigt låta spelare vara ovetande om detta.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på Mape Sweden AB med syfte att eliminera eller minska icke värdeskapande aktiviteter inom inköpsprocessen. Genom att undersöka hur fö-retaget arbetar med inköp och dess inköpsaktiviteter för verktyg och reservdelar är målet att hitta lösningar som innebär en tidseffektivisering av inköpsprocessen.Arbetet är av kvalitativ karaktär. Denna ansats valdes då gruppen ville få en förståelse över nuläget genom kvalitativa metoder. Metoderna som använts för att samla in data till arbetet var observationer och intervjuer, en litteraturstudie samt benchmarking på ett annat tillver-kande företag. För att ta fram förbättringsförslag till företaget utfördes ett spagettidiagram över förflyttningar.
