The objective of this essay is, from the golf perspective including the golf courses' physical attributes, golf club management, members of the golf club and golf course designers, to explore possibilities for making existing golf courses more multifunctional. The purpose of this is to increase the understanding for golf courses' role as part of the landscape and comprehension regarding possible opportunities around them to exploit and develop.The increased pressure of population in peri-urban areas has resulted in a greater need for accessible recreation, particularly in the isolated farmland. As a result, land is sometimes used against landowners' will, which is a deficiency that is the basis for many conflicts between farmers and landowners.In the current situation, there is a negative trend in golf with reduced interest and fewer golfers than in the past. As a result, many of Sweden's golf courses have financial problems and are therefore trying to find new ways to avoid bankruptcy. Sweden's existing golf courses occupy about 30 000 hectares of land, of which a very large percentage are located in peri-urban areas.

What is e-leadership and how can it be framed in a distance context? How can work motivation be understood as a correlated theme? In prior leadership research and theory it has been taken for granted that leadership occurs in a face-to-face environment, so how to study leadership in a remote context? According to recent research, e-leadership defines this leader-member relation in this new arena, and a central focus of this research has been on communication. Communication is a central theme in the remote setting because it is the only interaction arena which allows leadership to be seen and understood. By conducting a case study in a multi media organization with distance working journalists as focus group this essay aims to bring a deeper understanding of how e-leadership works and how it effects work motivation. The field of media organizations is interesting to study as distance work is not an unusual working environment for journalists, and research has indicated that work motivation needs for these highly specified creative workers are somewhat differentiated from other, for example industrial workers, which implies that motivation theories urges an update.

As a student during my studies, I have been told about entrepreneurs who have red numbers in their financial statements, and there is a forest machine operator shortage in Sweden. The basic idea of this thesis was to examine the underlying factors that may have caused the problems described above. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the factors that create stress and job satisfaction as a forest machine operator. The study was performed as a comparison between forest companies own harvesting teams and entrepreneur teams to investigate if there are any differences in stress and job satisfaction between the two different types of team. The study was conducted in collaboration with SCA Skog. The material for this study was collected by doing interviews with SCA's harvesting teams. A total of 27 forest machine operators were interviewed, divided into a total of 10 separate harvesting teams. It was very similar between the different type of teams, which situations the operators experienced stress.

Under de senaste åren har mobiltelefontekniken utvecklats väldigt snabbt i takt med att smartphones kommit in på marknaden. Den traditionella mobiltelefonens funktioner finns också i smartphonen, men denna har också många fler funktioner. Det som utmärker smartphonen mest är att den oftast har touch-skärm, webbläsare och kan hantera applikationer. I postens e-barometer Q4 år 2010 (undersökning om e-handel) framgår att 19 procent av respondenterna någon gång e-handlat på sin mobiltelefon. I samma undersökning visar siffror också på att 20 procent av respondenterna anser säkerheten vara en faktor som gör att de inte handlar via mobiltelefonen.

Individual trees can act as carriers of meaning. When a person attributes deep meanings to a specific tree, a relationship between the person and the tree is created. To avoid conflicts between users and planners, increased awareness is required of how important individual trees may be to a person. The objective of this study was to elucidate persons? relationships with individual urban trees.

Historiskt sett har djur haft stor betydelse och anses fortfarande vara viktiga för människan. Djurens roll som sällskapsdjur i dagens samhälle har varit som familjemedlem, kamrat och sällskap. Sällskapsdjuren har också flera positiva effekter på människans hälsa och välbefinnande. Redan i början av 1960-talet fann forskare att hundar hade en unik inverkan på människor i svåra situationer och på människor med särskilda behov. Sällskapsdjur uppfattades som icke-fördömande, tillgivna samt kärleksfulla och därför har djur använts inom vård och rehabilitering. En växande mängd internationella forskningsstudier indikerar att djur kan ha värdefulla effekter på människan och främjar individens hälsa och välbefinnande, fysiologiskt och psykologiskt.

Arbetet syftar till att undersöka hur producenter i Södermanlands län förhåller sig till offentlig upphandling av livsmedel. Sex producenter, en representant för en ekonomisk förening och en kostsamordnare har intervjuats för att få en djupare förståelse för vad livsmedelsproducenter upplever vara de största hindren och möjligheterna för att lämna anbud i offentliga upphandlingar av livsmedel. Resultaten visar att producenterna anser att många rådande förutsättningar som finns för att delta i offentlig upphandling av livsmedel är kopplade till och beroende av kommunens arbete. Det handlar till exempel om upphandlingens utformning, huruvida det finns en omlastningscentral som underlättar vid leveranser och om det finns en engagerad kostsamordnare. De hinder som producenterna upplever är bland annat den EU-lag som rör fri handel över gränserna, att de som upphandlar inte förstår livsmedelsproduktionens förutsättningar och svårigheten att spåra livsmedel i förädlingskedjan. De möjligheter som producenterna och kostsamordnaren ser bottnar till stor del i kommunikation och dialog på olika nivåer och mellan olika aktörer. Jag har även undersökt vilka sociala, ekonomiska och ekologiska värden en ökad andel närproducerade livsmedel i offentlig sektor bidrar med till samhället. Några funktioner som framkom i intervjuerna var värdet av att visa hur mat är producerad, att produktionen skapar mervärden och att det skapar lokala arbetstillfällen. Med utgångspunkt i analysen av producenternas resonemang har jag formulerat förslag till åtgärder för att uppnå en högre andel närproducerad mat i de offentliga köken.

Honey is a product that may contain pesticide residues due to contamination from bees pollinating various plants as well as elimination of vermin inside the hive. Different methods are needed for analysis of pesticides, since the term includes a wide range of different substances. National Food Administration lacks a validated method for determination and quantification of pesticides in honey using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, LC-MS/MS. The technique is especially important in analysis of polar and non-volatile pesticides, where gas chromatography is not functioning optimally. After investigating what pesticides could be found in honey produced in Sweden, a number of four pesticides suitable for analysis with LC-MS/MS was compiled; boscalid, impidacloprid, tau-fluvalinate and thiacloprid.

Allt eftersom utvecklingen går framåt inom applikationer och system så förändras också sättet på vilket vi interagerar med systemet på. Hittills har navigering och användning av applikationer och system mestadels skett med händerna och då genom mus och tangentbord. På senare tid så har navigering via touch-skärmar och rösten blivit allt mer vanligt. Då man ska styra en applikation med hjälp av rösten är det viktigt att vem som helst kan styra applikationen, oavsett vilken dialekt man har. För att kunna se hur korrekt ett röstigenkännings-API (Application Programming Interface) uppfattar svenska dialekter så initierades denna studie med dokumentstudier om dialekters kännetecken och ljudkombinationer.

The Effects of dietary biotin supplementation on hoof health in Swedish dairy cows - a controlled cohort field study. The aim of the present degree project was to investigate the effects of biotin supplementation on hoof health in dairy cows. The experiment was performed as a controlled cohort study in three commercial farms in western Sweden from January 2002 to October 2002. The cows were all housed in cubicle systems with transponder concentrate feeding systems. Within each farm the cows were allocated to either biotin or control treatment. The biotin groups received 20 mg of biotin per cow and day, starting 14 days before expected calving.

On the basis of the investigation regarding the bill for a new Swedish copyright law (URL), mainly the new wording that regulates the license agreement, corresponds to the EU competition rules and customs within the area.The collecting societies licensing violates the competition laws in the following cases? Discrimination of members because of nationality?           Authors transferring their sole rights to global exploitation?           The collecting society have the right to manage the rights after the author have left as a member?           Users that are established abroad do not get access to the repertoire of  the collecting societies, the same goes for concerted practice if this is the purpose or result?           Parallel behaviours that cannot be explained objectively?           Dividing the market?           Fixed Prices?           Refusal to sign multi-territorial licenses?           Apply different conditions for equivalent transactions resulting in competition disadvantages for a company that cannot be justified by reasonable causesCurrently there are no indications that the new bill to a new URL violates EU law.
