Previous research in the area of leadership and stress has shown that the leader plays an important role but in what way is still an issue to explore. A qualitative approach was used in this study to develop an increased understanding of the leader's experience of stress using four themes; leadership, stress, control and organizational factors. A total of 12 semi-structured and un-structured interviews were carried out with 6 leaders, three females and three males. The data was transcribed and thematic as well as narrative analysis was conducted.The results indicates that leadership stress is caused by a lack of control and that factors intrinsic to the role as a leader both facilitates and complicates the leaders situation when facing stress..

Personlighetspsykologin har dominerats av forskning kring fem- faktor-modellen under framförallt 1980-90 talet. (Pervin, 1990). Det finns idag ett antal studier som sökt att beskriva individers prestation utifrån fem-faktor-modellen. Det finns dock inga entydiga resultat som indikerar att vissa specifika personlighetsfaktorer kan förklara en individs prestation. Föreliggande undersökning omfattade 455 personer på ett medelstort företag i Mellansverige.

The aim with this work is to understand and point out how significant Facebook is for teenager´s identity-construction. Through interviews with six teenagers, three boys and three girls in the age of sixteen and seventeen, I investigated how teenagers use Facebook and what purpose these interviewees put out to be members at Facebook.The interview-material then was analyzed from selected sociological/social psychology theories and also previous research. The study showed that the interviewees self-presentations for the sake of their awareness was more characterized of reflexivity than spontaneity. Because of their broad audience they choose to not write or publish too private information about themselves on Facebook. Despite a reflexive approach the identity-construction on Facebook could be affected of other people in a negative direction.

This thesis aims to investigate and discuss the possibility for women in the early Christian church to make music, which in the ancient Roman society was something complicated. Afemale musician was looked upon as decadent and dissolute. This idea, in combination with the music ideals of the church influenced by the Neoplatonic movement, and the Pauline statement (1 Cor. 14:34-36), cast women to be completely prohibited in participating even in the psalmody during the service. My purpose is to discuss how this was looked upon in different Christian regions, using the church fathers as the main material source, since this has not previously been well documented or studied..

This paper investigates the usability of the intelligence test Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability (WNV). Twenty four children in two different age-groups were tested with WNV, 10 children between ages 5 - 6, and 14 children between ages 9 - 10. The WNV turned out to be a useful test when some verbal communication was used in the test situation. This was especially apparent among the younger children, who needed extra verbal instructions and verbal support through the different subtests. The test also contained standardized verbal instructions for all ages.

Previous studies of stress and coping regarding urban bus drivers describe an unhealthy occupation in areas of psychological and physiological factors. In the present study a social constructionist approach was used to investigate Swedish urban bus drivers' constructs of stress and coping regarding passengers. Semi-structered interviews were performed with ten bus drivers, nine males and one female. The data was transcribed verbatim and analysed with the program QSR NUD*IST.Three main themes where found; passanger related context, coping strategies and promoting circumstances. This study explores Environmental Storytelling techniques and whether these can beused in combination with each other to lead a player through a game scene in aspecific pattern, affect the player?s narrative and exploratory view and explorewhether Self-paced Exploration can be combined with these techniques.It is a qualitative study conducted by six gaming sessions with accompanyinginterviews in which six people get to play one of three versions of the same gamescene. Syfte och frågeställningarStudien genomfördes med syftet att specificera vilken intensitet och duration vid uppvärmning som är optimal för att få ut största möjliga effekt vid anaerob prestation i form av maximalt vertikalhopp och fem sekunders maximal cykelsprint. Studien byggde på tre frågeställningar: På vilket sätt påverkar uppvärmningen prestationen vid ett maximalt vertikalhopp? På vilket sätt påverkar uppvärmningen prestationen vid ett maximalt fem sekunders sprinttest? Vilken uppvärmning är optimal för maximal muskulär explosivitet?MetodDesignen var en kvantitativ experimentell studie som innefattade fyra fysiskt aktiva kvinnor med genomsnittsålder på 24 år. Testerna bestod av nio tillfällen där en slumpad uppvärmning på ergometercykel genomfördes varje gång. Därefter genomfördes tre vertikalhopp, så kallade counter movement jump, på en kraftplatta och tre fem-sekunders sprint (5sCST) på Monarks Peak Bike.

This study examines how yoga is presented in a Swedish journal called Sökaren. Sweden is often presented as one of the most secular states in the world, and for that reason it is interesting to examine the Swedish way of religiosity by looking, in this case, at the depiction of yoga. I compare two periods of time, the first one from 1964 to 1974 and the latter from 1998 to 2008. I will thereby be able to examine tendencies and changes in the presentation of yoga. For a further understanding of the context around the elected periods this study introduces religiosity in Swedish society, such as Christianity and the New Age movement.

Syftet med studien var att få en djupare förståelse för identitetsskapande via sociala medier, och hur detta identitetsskapande påverkar individens självbild. Frågeställningen var: ?Vilka strategier använder unga vuxna i konstruerandet av sin nätidentitet på Facebook genom statusuppdateringar?? och ?Hur förhåller sig denna nätidentitet till deras självbild?? Som metod valdes Multi-Grounded Theory. Sex personer i åldern 18-23 år deltog i studien. Datainsamling skedde genom observation av informanternas statusuppdateringar, och personliga intervjuer kring dessa.

I have been inspired by sheets of pattern paper used in the manufacture of clothing, and my line of furniture is based on two-dimensional patterns of furniture. The sections of the pieces of furniture are printed on and relate to a standard sheet of plywood.

Både manliga och kvinnliga deltagare gjorde attraktionsbedömningar av fyra manliga och fyra kvinnliga röster samt fyra manliga och fyra kvinnliga ansikten. Deltagarna bedömde sedan vilka röster som tillhörde vilka ansikten. Resultatet av undersökningen visade att männen och kvinnorna var överens om vilka röster och ansikten som var mer attraktiva och vilka som var mindre attraktiva. Rösternas attraktionsbedömningar korrelerade positivt med ansiktenas attraktionsbedömningar vilket tyder på att människor till viss del bedömer att mer attraktiva röster tillhör mer attraktiva ansikten.
