AbstractMy task was to prepare the already designed heating list ?Stayhot? for manufacturing.I started with drawing the whole list in the CAD-program. It became obvious that some of the designed components had to be changed to work in practice.A turnable reflector couldn?t be combined with the isolation. The suggested light emitting diodes wouldn?t give enough light, so I cut them out and the problem with light remains to be solved.

Precer Group har en patenterad teknologi för förbrÀnning av fasta brÀnslen, till exempel pellets eller metallbrÀnslen. Tekniken Àr anvÀndbar till bland annat fordon och nu Àr deras vision Àr att skapa en ny typ av miljövÀnligt och brÀnslesnÄlt fordon som drivs av fast brÀnsle. Det kommer att vara ett lÀttviktsfordon med seriehybriddrivlina. Drivlinan till fordonet kommer att bestÄ av Precers förbrÀnningsenhet, en vÀrmemotor, generator, batteri, motor controller och en eller flera elmotorer med tillhörande kraftelektronik.Vi har gjort en studie pÄ vilka typer av elmotorer som kan anvÀndas för fordonsdrift och jÀmfört olika lösningar pÄ vilka motorer och controllers som kan passa till fordonet Precer Group kommer att tillverka. Vi har ocksÄ gjort en bedömning om det kan vara anvÀndbart med regenerativ bromsning i fordonet och pÄ vilka sÀtt tekniken kan implementeras.Den generator vi anser lÀmpligast till vÀrmemotorn Àr en borstlös DC-generator dÄ den har hög toppverkningsgrad och en passande karaktÀristik för att anvÀndas till vÀrmemotorn.

Tidigare ombesörjde organisationen karriÀr och karriÀrutveckling för den anstÀllde och karriÀrkontraktet byggde pÄ livslÄnga anstÀllningar. Det nya karriÀrkontraktet bygger istÀllet pÄ en sÄ kallad proteisk karriÀr (Hall, 1996), vilket utmÀrks av att individen ser sig sjÀlv som ansvarig för och drivande av sin karriÀr, att egna vÀrderingar fÄr styra samt att psykologisk utveckling Àr frÀmsta mÄl. Studiens frÄgestÀllning var att undersöka om personlighetsfaktorer i termer av self-efficacy, sjÀlvkÀnsla, locus of control samt neuroticism kan predicera proteiska karriÀrattityder. I studien anvÀndes kvantitativ metod och en enkÀtundersökning genomfördes pÄ studenter. KorrelationsberÀkningar visade att samliga personlighetsfaktorer samt proteiska karriÀrattityder var korrelerade.

Kindergarden - How can we create different synergies between different fields that they can benefit from each other? What different activities will suit the kindergarden? How will our perception of the kindergarden, of its need and function in society, change?In this Degree Project in Architecture I will be investigating the combination of the kindergarden together with a restaurant and a dance studio. I believe these activities will harmonize since they have overlapping benefits: We all eat, move and grow.With the new architectural activities in mind, I will further investigate the importance of the kindergarden as a part of society, more specifically our perception of what function it may, may not or could fill. I share the idea with a lot of authors, scientist that we are headed toward a society where children are kept too safe, thus minimising their chance to experience and learn to cope with a harsh reality when they grow up as adults. This report evaluates whether an interpreted high-level garbage collected language has enough information about its memory behaviour to make better cache decisions than modern general CPU hardware.With a generational garbage collector, depending on promotion algorithm and generation size, around 90% of all objects never leave the first generation. This report is based on the hypothesis that, because of the low promotion rate, accesses to higher generations are sufficiently rare not to benefit from caching.To test this hypothesis, we built an operating system with a Scheme interpreter in kernel mode, where the interpreter controls the cache. Generic x86 PC hardware was used, since it allows fine-grained control of cache decisions.Measurements of execution time in this interpreter show that disabling the cache for generations higher than the first does not give any performance gain, but rather a performance loss of up to 50%.We conclude that this interpreter design is not an improvement, but cannot conclude that the hypothesis is false in general. We suggest building a better CPU simulator to gather more data from which to make better caching decisions, moving internal interpreter data structures into the garbage collected heap and modifying the hardware to allow control in the currently rigid dimension of where data is cached---for example separate control of instruction and data caches and separate data caches for different areas of memory..

SELF CONTROL Àr ett undersökande examensarbete i textildesign. Med en textil hantverksmetod undersöker jag mötet mellan kontroll, tidsÄtgÄng och material. Detta med utgÄngspunkt i en feministisk diskurs. Jag ser kontroll som nÄgot som exkluderar, censurerar och begrÀnsar möjliga uttryck inom textilt hantverk pÄ samma sÀtt som kvinnokroppen kontrolleras i ett patriarkat. Jag har anvÀnt mig utav en performativ och repetitiv metod som aktivt har gÄtt ut pÄ att bryta mot förestÀllningar om hur hantverket ska utföras.

Today there are many applications of digital terrain models (DTM) and the requirements of low uncertainty increases. Most of the DTM are produced with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), airborne laser scanning (ALS) and total stations. Guidelines for the preparation and verification of DTM are found in Swedish Standards Institute ? Technical Specifications (SIS-TS) 21144:2007 and SIS-TS 21145:2007. These were defined in collaboration between Swedish National Rail Administration, Banverket, and Swedish Road Administration, VĂ€gverket, to satisfy the needs of requirement formulations in the production of DTM planning, design and construction. The purpose of this paper is to produce and control DTM over Åkermans kulle, located west of the University of GĂ€vle, according to SIS TS 21144:2007 using GNSS with network-RTK, TLS and ALS.

AbstractAs a result of globalisation, there are indications that national cultural differences between countries are becoming increasingly vague. Research shows that industries develop similarities, as a result of the integration between corporations that has followed the internationalisation. The aim of this study was thus to investigate whether different countries in the same industry can develop similar perceptions regarding what is considered effective leadership. The study also aimed to investigate whether these perceptions can influence how leadership is exercised. The leader qualities that were identified were categorised based on the leadership attributes that were formulated in Project GLOBE.

This bachelor thesis aims to draw attention to sound in the heritage sector in Sweden. In particular, to thesoundscapes that can be identified in our cultural heritage environments. Sounds in an environment, here calledsoundscapes, affect our perception of the environment and how we remember it.To find out how the heritage sector uses and would be able to use sounds, I have firstly studied if audio recording iscomparable with the visual photographic image. I then present examples of sound documentation concerning theconservation of built environment. In addition, I have interviewed five key informants who all have a centralresponsibility for five cultural heritage environments.

This study investigates the corporate sustainability activity, linked to the company's core business, which is a relatively unexplored field in a Swedish context. The study examines how the organization has used management control for its sustainability activity within two social initiatives; and whether these initiatives have generated value for the organization and involved stakeholders. Management control of social initiatives are examined within the theoretical framework of The Sustainable Balanced Scorecard and the organization's value creation contributions are outlined in accordance with a definition of the concept of Creating Shared Value. The method used for the implementation of the study is a qualitative study, embodied in an illustrative case study of a large Swedish company operating within financial sector. The empirical data was collected through 12 in-depth interviews with representative interviewees within the organization and with other stakeholders involved in the company's social initiatives.

During spring 2008, the Institution for Landscape Architecture, in co-operation with NaturvÄrdsverket, initiated a survey in the districts of SkÄne. In the survey, four out of eight park characters were examined, and it was observed that not only was it difficult interpreting these characters, but it was also presented with difficulties separating ??LustgÄrden?? and ??AllmÀnningen??. The purpose of this master thesis in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Psychology is twofold. The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The final result showed that correct processvarible was obtained in 0,5 seconds, when the setpoint was changed in the testarea 0 - 2,5 MPa..

FörstÄelsen för andra mÀnniskor som krÀvs för lyckade interaktioner, förklaras i attributionsteorierna "Theory of Mind" och "Simulation Theory. Ett vanligt men ouppklarat fenomen Àr det fundamentala attributionsfelet, dÀr beteende felaktigt attribueras till inre generella egenskaper. Fenomenet reflekterar en abstrakt mental konstruktion i enlighet med Construal Level Theorys antagande om hur psykologisk distans inverkar pÄ perception. I en modifierad Attitude Attribution Paradigm modell undersöks om spatial distans pÄverkar det fundamentala attributionsfelet och om skillnader föreligger mellan kvinnor och mÀn. Kort/lÄng spatial distans primades genom en kontroversiell text, via information om dess kompositionsplats, som fungerade som underlag för bedömning av skribentens Äsikt.
