AimThe purpose of this study is to investigate if there is any variance between masculine and feminine physical education teachers leadership.Are men more authoritarian than woman in their education? Do the influence of pupils have something to do with the gender of the teacher?s? Do the pupils respect masculine physical education teachers any different compound to feminine teachers?MethodWe have studied relevant literature that consider masculine and feminine leadership. The choice was to work with senior compulsory school. We choose the community of Botkyrka, through comfort choice. The criterion for the teachers were that they would have a swedish physical education and have been working at least for 4 years.

The aim of this study was to find relations between parents background and education ina wider sense and their children's success in school. The study also includes genusdifferentiations, the family profile and residential areas influence on children's ability anddetermination to study.The study confirmed earlier research that children's success in school is to some extentdependant on their parents education. At the same time it was shown that in most casesthe children reached higher level of education than their parents ? also when they werepoorly educated or had emigrated from a country with big cultural differences. It was alsoevident that children with at least one Swedish parent (and presumably Swedish as theirmother tongue) reached higher educational levels than other children.Children from single parent families often stopped their school carrier after the 9-yearcompulsory class while children of dual parent families more often continued to university.In general, girls were more affluent in school than the boys.

When we started this study we quickly saw that almost all the previous research that we find was focused and concentrated on the fact that the employees should be motivated. The research also presents a top-down perspective which means from the head to the employee. A Swedish newspaper wrote in an article that 1/3 of all Swedish heads can?t motivate their employers. A Swedish internet platform discusses this and says that heads need to be motivated to be able to motivate people around himself.

Motivation i arbetslivet är ett ämne som genom åren uppmärksammats mycket inom forskningen. Men vad som motiverar framtidens arbetskraft ? dagens studenter - att välja olika utbildningar har i arbetet med denna uppsats visat sig vara ett område där mycket återstår att undersöka. Utifrån den bakgrunden finns det inte någon vetenskaplig grund för att kunna generalisera mellan olika utbildningsgrupper sett till motivation. En kärnfråga för dagens arbetsgivare är att rekrytera och behålla människor som passar in i verksamheten.

En jämförelsestudie mellan kvinnors och mäns motiv till resande

This comparative study deals with male and female subjects during their visit to Stockholm. The aim was to find out if there were any general differences in travel motives between the sexes. Travel motive and motivation in tourism is a topic that has long been studied. With the help of various motivation theories and theories about how motives for travelling are created, we conducted a survey of tourists in Stockholm and then compared their travel motives. The results gave similar answers to what we had expected regarding gender differences.

Språklig variation i svenskundervisning : En studie om hur språklig variation, dialekter och sociolekter behandlas i Svenska 1 av utvalda lärare och läroböcker.

The aim of this study is to look at the way four teachers in, and five workbooks for, the course Svenska 1/A+B in upper-secondary schools include language varieties in their content. The research is based on qualitative and quantitative analyzes of the workbooks, where words and content are examined, and also interviews with the teachers who presents how they work with language varieties in their education. The results show that language varieties are accepted in school-education at the same time as they are, and have been, alienated in a way. The results also show that language varieties are less prioritized than other areas of education in the same subject..

Uppgiftsrelaterade konflikter, motivation och arbetsprestation : En studie inom äldreomsorgen

Konflikter kan påverka individen både positivt och negativt beroende på individens beredskap att hantera konflikten. Vårdpersonal har ett fysiskt påfrestande arbete. Detta är en kvalitativ studie som handlar om hur uppgiftsrelaterade konflikter påverkar individers motivation samt arbetsprestation inom äldreomsorgen. En intervjustudie genomfördes med deltagare som arbetar inom vård och omsorg, deltagarna var undersköterskor. Samtliga undersköterskor beskrev att det förekommer mycket konflikter inom deras arbetsbransch.

IT-konsulters organisationstillhörighet och hur den påverkar deras motivation

Problemområdet som uppsatsen belyser är sambandet mellan organisationstillhörighet och autonom motivation inom IT-konsultbranschen. Forskning om dessa områden har tidigare utförts främst var för sig, men har på senare år kopplats mer och mer samman. Dessutom har undersökningarna inom konsultbranschen enbart gjorts på bemanningsföretag. Utifrån sambandet och i förhållande till nuvarande teorier tas tre hypoteser fram och prövas. Metoden som använts i undersökningen är en enkätundersökning bestående av frågor angående organisationstillhörighet och motivation.

Sommarhögskolans verksamhet : Ur ett learning-by-doing och elevperspektiv

This paper is written to take a close look at teaching methods used at the Summer Academy (SHS), which is held at Södertörns Högskola in Stockholm. SHS is a subdivision of the institution of teaching education, which annually, during summertime, offers an eight-day program for pupils between 13-15 years of age, from different schools located in socio-economically disadvantaged suburbs of Stockholm. The intention of SHS is to give the participating pupils an insight into higher education, especially that of university. The purpose of the activities, such as field trips, guided tours and corporate visits, is to make pupils aware of their own responsibility for their educational situation through different methods of knowledge transfer, to diversify the means of the education, and to bring awareness to the array of possibilities which they have access to within the Swedish system of tertiary education.The study is based on six deep-interviews, three with pupils and three with student mentors. Together with 131 surveys from the course given during the summer of 2014, and theories of John Dewey on ?Learning-by-doing?, the results show that pupils participation in SHS give them a better understanding for, and knowledge about their own educational responsibility.Another question this paper seeks to address is how significantly the SHS program is changing the pupil?s experience of education in general and their view upon higher education specifically.

Motivation och lärande i grupper : En studie om gruppens betydelse för deltagarnas motivation och lärande om träning i ett hälsoprojekt

Genom historien har myndigheter och samhället haft intresse av att människor lever ett hälsosamt liv. Hälsoprojekt har kommit att få en allt större betydelse i samhället och målet är ofta att öka deltagarnas medvetenhet så att de har möjlighet att leva ett mer hälsosamt liv och minska risken för sjukdom. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka deltagarnas uppfattningar om vad gruppen haft för betydelse för deras motivation till träning. Vi är även intresserade av att studera deltagarnas uppfattning kring vad gruppen haft för betydelse för deras lärande om träning i hälsoprojektet. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är motivation och lärande.

När teori möter praktik : En granskning av styrdokument samt lärares upplevda kompetens i ämnet Idrott och hälsa

The aim of this study was to investigate how the content of the syllabus for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University correlates to selected parts of the core content of the Gy11 syllabus for Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School. Furthermore we aimed to investigate the perceived competency of recently graduated and still studying teachers of Physical Education and Health within the selected parts of the core content.The selected parts of the core content are:Exercise, sports and outdoor activities that develop a comprehensive physical abilityThe adjustment of tension and mental training.The methods used were a qualitative comparative text analysis of the syllabuses for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University and Gy11 Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School, as well as a quantitative survey conducted with recently graduated and still studying teachers of Physical Education and Health.The results were that there is an obvious correlation between the content of the syllabus for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University and the Gy11 syllabus for Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School. Moreover the survey shows that the respondents felt confidence in their ability to teach exercise, sports and outdoor activities that develop a comprehensive physical ability. The survey also shows that the respondents felt less confidence in their ability to teach the adjustment of tension and mental training..

Motivation och motivationsarbete ur ett lärarperspektiv : En studie av motivationsarbete på en landsortsskola

Svensk motivationsforskning bedrivs nästintill uteslutande med eleven i fokus. Forskning av lärares tankar kring motivation och motivationsarbete tycks i dagsläget vara en bristvara. För att belysa denna fråga djupintervjuades fyra lärare, verksamma i grundskolans senare delar, om sina tankar kring motivationsbegreppet och motivationsarbete. Utifrån ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv tematiseras dessa lärares tankar. Vidare analyseras motivationsarbetet efter fem forskningsförankrade kriterier: positiva förväntningar, fokus på bemästrande, gynnsamt gruppklimat, olika typer av motivation och relationer utanför skolan.

Fastighetsmäklaryrket: Att skära guld med täljkniv? - Vad motiverar fastighetsmäklaren i sin yrkesroll och hur ser dess chefer på motivation?

Mitt syfte har varit att utreda vad som motiverar fastighetsmäklaren i sin yrkesroll samt att utreda hur dess chefer bedömer medarbetarnas motivation och dess påverkan för arbetsprestationen. Jag har använt flera teorier som kunnat kopplats till empirins resultat. Några av de slutsatser som framkommit är bland annat att motivationsfaktorer varierar beroende på individ och därmed fastighetsmäklare. Nöjda kunder, trivsel på arbetsplatsen, varierade arbetsuppgifter och en god lön har dock uppkommit vara betydande motiverande faktorer för mäklarna. Cheferna bör skapa en bättre dialog med mäklarna för att öka medvetenheten kring medarbetarnas motivationsfaktorer.

Lärares förhållningssätt till demokratisk undervisning och sin egen maktposition i undervisningsarbetet

The aim of this paper is to examine how teachers experience their possibilities to develop democratic teaching in high school and how they reflect upon their position of power within the teaching situation. Four professional high school teachers have been interviewed for the study. The theoretical perspective of the study is an intersectional view on power and a view on democratic teaching which is partly built on the high school curriculum, but mainly defined by deliberative conversations, anti-oppressive education and norm-critical education. The result of the study is focused on three themes, which were shown in the analysis of the interviews. These themes are: choices of teaching content,  authority of the teacher and democratic teaching.

Inkludering i skolan : Men till vilket pris och för vems bästa?

Within special education, there is a big dilemma where some mean that school should include all pupils in the same school class, regardless of the students' needs for assistance, while others believe that students with special needs to be placed in small adapted groups where students have similar needs is to exclude pupils. While others argue that the inclusion can sometimes lead to exclusion. The aim is to investigate what meaning teachers and special education teachers gives the concept of inclusion in school and what consequences it entails in teaching. This study is based on a number of qualitative interviews of teachers and specialist teachers to obtain answer of the following questions.Has the concept of inclusion and integration the same significance and meaning according to those asked teachers, special educators and special educators?Which students should be included, according to those asked teachers, special teachers and special teachers?What is required to work from an inclusive perspective, according to the asked teachers, special teachers and special teachers?Perceive the asked teacher, special educators and special teachers some disadvantages of inclusion?Which students receive special education instruction in the schools were asked?Do the asked teacher, special educators and special teachers think that there is a school for all?The results of this study is that teachers and special instructors have difficulty indistinguishing the concepts and that they puts the same emphasis on inclusion as the integration, the students must adapt to school and not vice versa.
