The aim of this thesis is to investigate what distinguishes the views of staff at centres for learning as regards users? motivation at centres for learning in public libraries. The following questions were asked:? How do staff at centres for learning view the users? motivation to studies?? How do staff at centres for learning view causes for lack of motivation and obstacles for motivation to studies?? What methods do staff at centres for learning use to motivate potential users to studies and to market the learning centres? ? What distinguishes these views of staff on users? motivation at centres for learning in public libraries?The methods used in this study are: literature studies, qualitative interviews and questionnaires. Interviews and questionnaires were done with six employees at six centres for learning.

Syfte & frÄgestÀllningar: Studiens syfte var att studera effekten pÄ medieanvÀndares attityder. För att fÄ en djupare förstÄelse och uppfattning om effekter pÄ attityden sÄ anvÀndes barnlÀkarfallet som ett exempel av anmÀlningsfall.Hur och pÄ vilket sÀtt kan media komma att ha effekt pÄ anvÀndarnas attityder?Metod & material: Studien Àr gjord efter en kvalitativ metod dÀr datainsamlandet bestod av tvÄ fokusgrupper. Totalt deltog tio personer och intervjuerna transkriberades och delades upp i teman (kodningsschema) som sedan analyserades enligt framing teorin.Huvudresultat: I resultatet kunde man utlÀsa att de bÄda fokusgrupperna hade oliker attityder gentemot barnlÀkarfallet. Detta trots att de bÄda fokusgrupperna tidigare hade en liknande uppfattning om hur media arbetar och sade sig vara kÀllkritiska.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediatization of Swedish politics on a municipal level. We live in a world were media affects many aspects of life. One of those aspects is the communication between the citizens and the politicians.Our main research questions are:To what extent do politicians communicate with journalists and who initiates these contacts?Do politicians talk to some types of media rather than others?What factors make a politician choose to speak to media?To what extent do leading Swedish municipal politicians use media strategies?To answer these questions we have used various theories to help us understand media?s role oftoday. First we explain the transformation that has taken part in Swedish media over the last century, from political party press to independent media companies.

This survey is a case study with the purpose to find out the teacherÂŽs perceptions about studentsÂŽ motivation to mathematics. Further this study aims for the teacherÂŽs vision on how they consider studentsÂŽ motivation in mathematics in secondary school. To collect research data I have used semi structured interviews with four secondary school teachers. The result constructs according to categories that depict the purpose of the study. These categories define students? motivation like achieving different goals, students? basic knowledge, abilities and perceptions of mathematics and external factors that affect students? motivation.
