Hälsa är väldebatterat i olika sammanhang och enligt Skolverket, Myndigheten för skolutveckling samt Regeringen har skolan ett uppdrag att arbeta med hälsa. Syftet med denna studie var att göra en lägesrapport bland personalen på en grundskola gällande hälsa och hälsoarbete. Vad som görs och hur ett hälsoarbete bedrivs på en skola samt vad för inställningar som fanns bland personalen var frågeställningar som låg till grund för studien. I denna studie användes kvantitativ forskningsstrategi där enkäter användes för att få en så heltäckande bild som möjligt.Resultatet redovisas utefter våra frågeställningar och visar bland annat att all personal måste vara delaktig om ett fungerande hälsoarbete på en skola ska bli framgångsrikt. Resultatet visar även på att begreppet hälsa är individuellt och har olika innebörder beroende på vem som tillfrågas.

SammanfattningSyfte Syftet har varit att undersöka om Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolans (GIH:s) tre månader långa hälsoprojekt på sikt hade effekt på seniordeltagarnas aktivitetsvanor. Därtill studerades seniorernas motivation till fysisk aktivitet vid uppföljningen tio månader efter projektets slut.Metod GIH:s hälsoprojekt är ett stående inslag i hälsopedagogutbildningen vid GIH. Det omfattar ledarledd fysisk aktivitet, två gånger per vecka, under åtta veckor. Dessutom ingår individuella hälsotester och hälsosamtal före projektets start, och vid projektets slut. I denna studie gjordes en kvantitativ uppföljning av seniordeltagare tio månader efter projektets slut.

The work of Shakespeare has been popular to make film adaptations of from the birth of cinema. Macbeth, one of his most often played tragedies, is no exception. But how did Shakespeare portray Lady Macbeth in his play, and how do directors in the 21th century choose to portray her for a modern audience? I will try to find the answer to these questions by analyzing Shakespeare´s play as well as three modern adaptations. I will begin the thesis by looking at scholars´ view in questions regarding gender, free will, adaptations and genre before analyzing the play and the three movies.

Is it possible, and suitable, to use multimedia in classic literature studies at Swedish upper secondary school? What alternatives are there?  Is there any foundation in the curriculum for an expanded conception of text as in multimedia?  Will the conception literacy support use of multimedia in classic literature studies, and in what ways? How do we generally look upon the definition text, is it only printed letters, or something more? To get an answer to the questions we decided to examine a number of theories, Gardner?s theory about the different intelligences, the conception literacy and the expanded text concept. In these three theories we took our starting-point for the following work. The main subjects became two interactive sights on Internet and one CD-ROM, all containing classic literature. Our previous knowledge in this subject field was very meager.  This work has given us an opportunity to discover some of the multimedia that is available, and the result we have come to is that multimedia absolutely belongs in studies of classic literature as well as in other subjects.

This thesis applies a discourse theoretical approach in order to examine in whatways and with what possible meanings the library at KVINFO participates in the overall gender discourse in society. This means that our reading takes place at a metatheoretical level, focussing on the library as a constructor of meaning in relation to society's gender discourse.Besides the actual reading, the thesis argues for the fruitfulness of using both a discourse theoretical and a feministic perspective in the field of Library and Information Science. By looking at libraries in general through a lens provided by these perspectives, libraries are staged as battlegrounds for competing discourses,that attempt to promote its particular knowledge claim on how reality should be perceived.The reading shows that it is possible to perceive the library at KVINFO as amaterial articulation that takes shape by and is part in a feministic counterdiscourse against the masculinistic hegemonic discourse, which throughout ?hisstory? has positioned women as ?the other?, and established men as the normative category in society, including the libraries. Through its practise KVINFO has contributed to a change in the collective identity ascribed to women.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine in what way library users are depicted on images at two academic libraries; the University College of Borås Library & Learning Resources (BLR) and the Gothenburg University Library (GUB). 62 images, from websites and information brochures, are analyzed and the main questions are: How are users represented on images? What activities are shown? What is the difference between BLR and GUB? How can the consequences of the representations be understood? Little is currently known in the LIS-field about how images work as constructors of the social reality. The theoretical and methodological point of departure of the study is discourse analysis, new institutional theory and picture analysis.

The purpose of this essay is, using discourse analysis, to define how the Swedish society sees sexuality and how this is conveyed to young people. The questions at issue are; How is the term sexuality defined and delimited? How are the young people described in relation to sexuality? Are young people ascribed to different needs and qualities in relation to sexuality depending on their gender?There is previously a lot of research with great multitude about the sexuality of the youth. The research methods vary but text analysis within the subject area is unusual. The material used in this discourse analysis have been published by normative public institutions.

ABB I-R Waterjet Systems combines the robotics and motion expertise of ABB Flexible Automation with high-pressure intensifier/pumping technology from Ingersoll-Rand to provide and continue to develop innovative waterjet cutting systems for global markets. The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible. When investigating the different principle of purifying water, a research of different products and their manufactories was done. These different products were compared and the principle of filtration was the most applicable, as most of the products were designed for far larger applications. As the process water contains quite large amount of particles, it is necessary to perform the filtration in different steps. The process water purifier is therefore composed of a module of coarse filtration and one of micro filtration. In the module of coarse filtration the mainly amount of fibres and particles are eliminated. They are kept back in the container unit with the larger fragments and dumped with these when the container is emptied. In the module of micro filtration the filtration is performed in two steps. In the first step particles larger than 50?m are eliminated, in the second step the micro filter is setting the range of purifying, in this case 10?m.

Den här C-uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie om användandet av feelgood tidningar i vardagen. Studien strävar efter att ta del av och förstå hur läsarna använder feelgood tidningarna i sin vardag. Studien syftar också att undersöka det psykologiska perspektivet bakom valet att läsa tidningarna.Mina frågeställningar är: Hur använder kvinnorna feelgood tidningen i sin vardag?Hur rumsrent tycker kvinnorna att det är att läsa de här tidningarna? Vad är det som gör feelgood tidningar underhållande?Hur kan man tolka kvinnornas användning av tidningarna ur ett psykologisk perspektiv?Materialet inhämtas via en fokusgrupp med fyra kvinnor i åldrarna 40- 65 år. Den teoretiska bakgrunden har hämtats ur Radway A Janice bok, Reading the romance- women, patriarchy and popular litteratur, Lisbeth Larssons En annan historia och ur boken Oro, av Skårderud Finn.Analysen är ett samspel mellan fokusgruppens utsaga och den teoretiska delen.

The survey aims to investigate and analyze how the image of Sweden and "Swedish character? is produced in the correspondence between Swedish immigrants and family at home, compared to how the image of America and the U.S. is produced. The starting point is the concept of identity, which is shaped by the social group a person belongs, which can lead to stereotypes are formed. How does the Emigrant describe his new life in letters home to Sweden? What comparisons are made? What memories are passed from the time at home? How does the picture changes over time? How does the stereotypes change over time? The material used are remnants and secondary sources in the form of correspondence between emigrants and their relatives back home.

The principal aim of this thesis is to test if extracts, produced by the automatic summarizer "Copernic Summarizer", are possible to use as abstracts. The aim is also to give a picture of what automatic summarization is and why it is motivated. Three questions are asked: What is automatic summarization and what can it be used for? Is it possible to replace the author-written abstracts with extracts from "Copernic Summarizer"? Is automatic summarization motivated for the different areas of use that are identified in the first question? An automatic summarizer is a program that is intended to summarize text automatically and it can be used for different purposes, for example for summarizing WebPages or scientific articles. To answer the second question an experiment is carried out.

Enligt vår teoretiska referensram samt enligt en undersökning som genomfördes åt Statensoffentliga utredninger, (SOU 1997:188), kan ett samband mellan motionsutövande och hälsapåvisas. Det finns däremot ingen entydig forskning som visar på att motionsutövande leder tillminskad sjukfrånvaro. Vår studie utgår från grundhypotesen att det finns ett positivt sambandmellan företagssubventionerad friskvård och minskad sjukfrånvaro. Genom enenkätundersökning där 48 ICA-butiker medverkade samt där butikernas årsredovisningargranskades, insamlades data relaterad till butikernas friskvårdssubventionering ochsjukfrånvaro. Enligt ett Chi-square test kunde ett svagt samband mellanfriskvårdssubventionering och sjukfrånvaro skönjas, och även beräkningarna för korrelationenmellan de två variablerna för den insamlade datamängden påvisade ett samband.Nyttjandegraden av friskvårdsbidraget visade sig vara högst vid en subventioneringsnivå på3000 kr per år och anställd, och uppgick vid nämnda nivå till i genomsnitt 30 procent.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how semantic relations in a document collection can be visualized with a Kohonen self-organizing map. It can be seen as a map of the information space which can be used to support information retrieval. The study makes a comparison of the possible differences between a map that is based on morphologically unprocessed text and a map where the text has been lemmatized. The text that is being processed is the definitions of all the existing instances in WordNet of a random selection of indexing terms from the Times-collection. The purpose is to see if morphological processing somehow can show different semantic connections between term instances based on their definitions.
