The aim of this essay is to examine the relationship between picture and room, between wallpainting and architecture. The basis for such exploration is the mural painting in Sweden at the turn of the 20th century, and the artist in focus is Prince Eugen (1865-1947).His works "Sommar"(1904), "Rimfrosr"(1909) & "Staden vid vattnet"(1922) and the rooms in which they are in make for an anlysis concerning how the totality of the space is experienced by the viewer.The main issue in mentioned expeience is how the mural is perceived with regard to the other elements in the room. And here, the walls' "flatness" enhancing its decorative qualities plays in. The problem with a mural built on the principles of perspective becomes evident when a wall is seen to vanish through the painting of an illusion on it..

The aim of the study was to examine if the benthos in a restored portion of a small lowland stream south of Linkoping differed from two non restored reference areas two years after restoration. The reference areas were one stretch downstream and one upstream stretches of the restored stream. The benthic invertebrates were collected using standardized kick sampling. In order to classify the communities and estimate any differences, three different indices were exercised. In addition rank-abundance curves and checklists were used to get a picture of species composition.

In outdoor education the empirical outdoor experience is an important basis for a learning process ? the teacher can affect learning with the choice of location. In order to develop the model in school, we need to build on teachers' perception of how their every day schoolwork looks like. This paper takes as its starting point at three teachers' perception of their learning environment and outdoor environments as well as a theoretical model of the site's importance in the learning process. The paper addresses both the importance of a structured and a unstructured meeting with outdoor sites.

The presence of the absentMy project is based on the idea that we all leave something behind, traces which tell stories about us for others to read.I wanted to give these traces a value by collecting them in a book. My aim was to create pictures open enough so others can fill in their own stories.I used different methods to find ways to describe the absence: such as illustrations, installations and photos, oftendescribed in a sensitive way. I also changed the character of everyday objects to add a kind of awareness left by an earlier user of the object.By using my own imagination with inspiration from people I talked to, I created lyrics and pictures for the book. It has resulted in a 112 paged book containing my own interpretationsof other opinions about absence, along with short lyrics of various characteristics.Hopefully the book will make others more aware of the traces left in their own surrounding and bring up questions about human contact and how it can be identified.My question at issue was following:What kind of traces do we leave noticable for others?How can I translate an emotion to a picture?How will the choice of method affect the feeling of the absent?.

AbstractThis is the paper you should read if you want to know more about working in team. Teamwork is a way of working and it increases more and more among societies and companies today, but it is not quite clear what the diffrences is from working in groups. We have in this paper tried to clear out the differences between groups and team, and we have also tried to give an oversight of how to work in team in organizations. Cultures of organizations, leadership and power and also development of qualifications are big parts of an organization´s daily work, and we have explained these concepts from a teamperspective.We have, in this paper, done interviews with people that have been in contact with the central consepts that we use. And then we have analyzed their answers with help from litterature, which we have closely studied, thereafter we have presented our results.

One of the most discussed archaeological subjects is the neolitisation, and the start of a neolithic lifestyle which is characterized by several significant events. The traditional view has been that settled people were cultivating and breeding, but this picture has been questioned and changed in later years. The development is principally based on two models; that already neolithic people immigrated and took over, or that the new lifestyle gradually developed out of the existing cultures. Southern Scandinavia was characterized by a settlement pattern with permanent settlements which were complemented by temporary special settlements, but in time more domestic settlements originated. On the British Isles the settlements didn´t consist of permanent agricultural settlements but instead did the people here move freely between several short term settlements.  .

I denna uppsats undersöks hur planeringen och utformningen av städerna påverkar invånarnas vardagliga motionerande. Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa behovet av en målmedveten samhällsplanering som avser att främja vardaglig fysisk aktivitet och motionerande i stads-miljö. Ett vidare syfte är att bidra med nya kunskaper om vilka planeringsaspekter som påver-kar människors vardagliga motionerande i staden, så att detta i framtiden ska kunna bidra till att utforma nya underlag och riktlinjer för motionsfrämjande stadsplanering. Idag är en stor del av Sveriges befolkning alldeles för fysiskt inaktiv och stillasittande vilket markant ökar riskerna för en rad allvarliga sjukdomar och hälsotillstånd, och som i sin tur medför enorma kostnader för sjukvård och arbetsbortfall. Att stimulera till ökat vardagligt motionerande är ett effektivt sätt att komma till rätta med detta utbredda folkhälsoproblem, vilket även regeringen framhållit som ett högt prioriterat mål. För att lyckas med detta krävs dock att städerna planeras och utformas för att främja det vardagliga motionerandet. I uppsatsen framkommer det att människors vardagliga motionerande i hög grad påverkas av hur städerna planeras och utformas.

One of the most well-known trials in history is the one in Nürnberg, Germany, soon after the end of World War II. It is understandable that this caused a lot of discussions and that it was a world known trial which set the standards for a lot of similar occasions later on. The aim of this research is to focus on the opinions about this trial from a perspective of well-known Swedish newspapers. The method is to analyse three big papers with different political views and to see what separated them and what maybe united them. By studying the master-pages of the newspapers a picture is given of how the contemporary time had an understanding for the trial reports, which we in our time have established as facts.

Background: The valuation of Biotechnology companies is difficult in many ways. Patent and human capital are hard to value and also there is a great uncertainty about the success of the compaines research programs. Are traditional valuation models really useful when it comes to research companies or do they result in false values of the companies? Purpose: To study what values different valuation models gives biotechnology companies and how they correspond to the market value. Method:We have studied financial litterature och found the most common used models today.

Sweden?s energy consumption is divided into three major sectors. One of them is the industry sector. One third of Sweden?s energy consumption is converted in the industries.

Syftet var att undersöka hur alkohol påverkar den fysiska prestationen cirka 10 timmar efter alkoholintag (?dagen efter?). Mina frågeställningar var: Hur påverkas hjärtfrekvensen och den skattade maximala syreupptagningsförmågan vid ett submaximalt arbete på cykel? Hur påverkas den subjektiva ansträngningen vid ett submaximalt arbete på cykel? Hur påverkas den explosiva styrkan i benmuskulaturen vid ett enbenslängdhopp? Hur påverkas den maximala isometriska styrkan i knästräckarmuskulaturen? Metod Fem män genomförde vid två olika tillfällen, tre olika tester. Submaximal syreupptagningstest på cykel, enbenslängdhopp och ett isometriskt styrketest för knästräckarmuskulaturen i en biodexmaskin.

Detta examensarbete behandlar huruvida elevers attityder till hälsa och kost är relaterat till deras attityd om skolprestation. Eleverna som deltog i undersökningen gick på en skola i en förort till Malmö och arbetade under tre veckor med ett hälso-tema som behandlade kost, motion och välbefinnande. Mina frågeställningar lyder: ? Hur ser elevernas fysiska aktivitet ut? ? Hur ser elevernas matvanor ut? ? Hur ser eleverna själva på sina skolprestationer och prestationer i övrigt? ? Har temaveckorna ändrat elevernas syn på någon av punkterna ovan? Jag har med hjälp av ovanstående frågor försökt se om fysisk aktivitet har någon koppling till hur eleverna ser på sina skolprestationer och sitt kostval. Min undersökningsmetod var enkäter som kompletterades med enskilda samtal angående enkätfrågorna. Enkätsvaren visade att 78 % av eleverna hade fysiska aktiviteter efter skoltid och att dessa elever fann det viktigt att prestera så bra som möjligt i skolan med undantag av en elev.

Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka barns och pedagogers uppfattningar om skolbarnsfysiska aktivitet och vad skolor gör för att tillgodose deras rörelsebehov. Vi har använt oss aven kvalitativ metod i form av frågeformulär med öppna frågor till pedagoger, samt kvantitativmetod i form av en enkätundersökning med barnen. Totalt sex pedagoger från fyra skolor harsvarat på frågeformuläret, och 218 barn i åldrarna åtta till tio år från samma skolor besvaradeenkäten. Genom undersökningen har vi fått kännedom om hur de tillfrågade barnen uppfattarsin fysiska aktivitet både i skolan och på fritiden, resultatet visade att 83 % av barnen att detyckte motion är viktigt och 73 % att de rörde på sig tillräckligt mycket. Pedagogernas svarvisar att barnen har idrottslektioner mellan 50 till 90 minuter varje vecka och en tredjedel avklasserna har organiserad rastverksamhet som ofta innehåll fysisk aktivitet varje dag.

Diabetes är en av våra stora folksjukdomar. Av Sveriges befolkning är 3-4 procent diabetiker. Av de patienter som får diabetes är ca 90 procente typ 2 diabetiker. I de skandinaviska länderna är 10-15 procent av de som får diabetes över 65 år. En av de viktigaste sakerna för att må bra i sin sjukdom är att sköta sin egenvård som att hantera sin sjukdom med kost, motion och medicinering.

Snow White through Grimm and Disney - A Comparative StudyThis essay attempts to discern the differences regarding six Swedish versions of the fairy-tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs over a period of 150 years. Focus is placed on structural transformations through time and media according to the analytical theories of Vladimir Propp. Attention is also given to former research done on the impact of the fairy-tale on the child from a psychological and social point of view. Of interest is the historical background of the tale, commencing with oral tradition, and how this was dealt with by the Grimm brothers. Three of the versions used for this comparative study are variants of the Grimm tale, and three belong to Walt Disney productions, i.e.
