En Australiensk studie visade att en tredjedel av dem som hade besvär från ländryggen fortfarande hade det ett år senare.Styrkan i bålmuskulaturen är central för alla typer av rörelser som vi utför funktionellt i det dagliga livet, i arbetssituationen och på fritiden. Har man en bra styrka i magmuskulaturen och i ryggmuskulaturen förebygger man skador och överbelastningsproblem bland annat i ländryggen.Syftet med studien har varit att visa om vårdpersonal kan få minskade problem i ländryggen av att bygga upp sin bålstabilitet genom övningar som stärker m.transversus abdominis och m.multifidus. Går det att förbättra förutsättningarna för att personalen ska kunna orka jobba inom vårdyrket, som är ett mycket tungt arbete med många osymmetriska lyft.

The hydropower from Nissan River is of national interest and produces annually 230 GWh from the twelve power stations in the main flow. For modified waters a consideration between the power production and the biological values has to be made. This reports serves as a pre-study for Nissans Vattenråd. It tries to evaluate some of the biological values in the Nissan basin and map the power production in the area. And the size and value of lost power production from new fishways for the twelve stations in the main flow.The investment of new fishways is calculated using simplified templates with values from the business.

Miljonprogram is a Swedish building program from 1964 to 1975. During that time about a million homes were constructed. Now, almost 50 years later, they are in desperate need of renovation. In order to fulfil the Swedish environmental objective to decrease energy consumption 50 per cent until 2050, considerable housing stock built under the Miljonprogram has to be renovated.Focus in this thesis is on the building services and theirs profitability that can decrease energy consumption in households build during the Miljonprogram. Building construction is not considered in this report.

Ericsson AB in Katrineholm is a part of the Section Business Unit Network in the Ericsson Group. The plant's main task is to produce printed circuit boards in small volumes with a high product mix and focus on delivery and cost effectiveness. At the factory they produce printed circuit boards in the Module department.The Module department has for a long time had a high output of non-approved circuit boards in their production. This has led to a growing stock of non-approved circuit boards on the company?s repair department.The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how Ericsson in Katrineholm can increase the outflow of approved articles in their test process in the Module department.

At the department of Electronic Warfare Assessments at the Swedish Defence Research Agency in Linköping one of the activities is modelling and simulation of the duel between a robot and a target. The aim with this Master's thesis is to develop a simulation model of an hovering helicopter. First a theoretical description of the forces and moments acting on an helicopter is given. Then the equations of motion are derived. These equations are simplified to be valid only for a hovering helicopter and the result is a mathematical model.

Electromyography (EMG) is a technique that measures muscle activity, whichmeans detecting the electrical signals that travel through the muscle in connectionwith muscle contraction. This project deals with how EMG can be used tocontrol a computer game.The project is centered around the game 'EMG Track Game' which has beenconstructed as part of this work. 'EMG Track Game' is controlled by twoelectrodes fastened on the player. These are attached to two selected musclesand control the motion in one direction each, one up and the other one down.The game is constructed in the purpose of being used in several elds of application.Among these are as entertainment, training equipment and a tool inresearch related to EMG and muscles.To highlight a possible application a study concerning muscle control has beenconducted. It answers the question of whether players score better with theirdominant arm in comparison with their non-dominant one.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera ett eventuellt samband mellan rörelse och läslust i ett genusperspektiv. En enkätundersökning har därför genomförts på 262 elever i årskurs fyra, fem och sex. Undersökningen har genomförts på fem skolor i två kommuner. En enkätundersökning har valts för att syftet kräver svar från många respondenter. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att rörelse och läslust har ett visst samband.

At Volvo Construction Equipment outside Eskilstuna a wide range of heavy equipment machines are developed that are used by a variety of industries worldwide. For the handling and maintenance of these machines a deep knowledge is often required. Volvo CE and their dealer Swecon offer courses for both drivers and technicians that last for 1-2 weeks. Out on the workplaces however, the knowledge from these courses need to be supplemented with information from the machine?s operator and repair manuals.

This study tests two financial valuation models empirically by valuing three stocks from three industries, with the purpose of studying how well valuation models work empirically and to make a forecast. The models which will be tested are residual income valuation and discounted cash flow. Nine stocks will be picked strategically from the Swedish stock market and additional analysis will follow in the analysis chapter.Based on analysis and valuation, the commodities industry has decent valuation as the healthcare industry is undervalued thanks to the high valuation of AZN. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka skäl fordonselever anger för att inte delta i undervisningen i Idrott o Hälsa samt att undersöka hur dessa elever ser på motion och träning. En övergripande enkätundersökning har använts där sammanlagt 75 elever deltog. Av dessa uppgav 25 elever att de ibland, sällan och aldrig deltar i idrottsundervisningen och det är dessa svar jag har valt att arbeta med i studien. Utöver enkätundersökningen utfördes även sex intervjuer, fyra med elever med hög frånvaro samt två lärare, för att få en djupare insikt och ett annat perspektiv på problemet.
