This paper investigates the grammatical construction intransitive motionconstruction with GOAL as it is used in Swedish (Swe. intransitivrörelsekonstruktion med MÅL).I examine in which ways the construction is productive, i.e. thepossibility to use the construction with new verbs as well as withordinary motion verbs with new functions. The notion of productivity isbased on the construction?s type frequency and semantic openness(Goldberg 1995, 2006; Barðdal 2008; Bybee 2010).
Dark Side of Wonderland - en kort 2D-animation med syfte att väcka intresse för en online serietidning
My objective for this project was to create a short but thrilling 2D-animation
intended as promotion for an online comic book. The purpose of the project was
to learn more about animation and graphics, to further my artistic skills and
to learn how to work in Adobe After Effects. I also wanted to learn more about
scheduling, project methods and how to handle stress. During the ten weeks of
the project I have created the story, the storyboard, the character design, the
backgrounds and the animation. The voice over was recorded with the help of a
fellow student who also made the music and the sound effects.
Design and Implementation of an Application. Programming Interface for Volume Rendering
To efficiently examine volumetric data sets from CT or MRI scans good volume rendering applications are needed. This thesis describes the design and implementation of an application programming interface (API) to be used when developing volume-rendering applications. A complete application programming interface has been designed. The interface is designed so that it makes writing application programs containing volume rendering fast and easy. The interface also makes created application programs hardware independent.

Technology evolves quickly, with innovative ideas growing everywhere. Still, no technology is anywhere near challenging the mouse and keyboard for navigation of your standard computer. This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.

En intervjustudie om vad som motiverar vårdarbetande kvinnor till att vidmakthålla sin motion
Syftet med denna C-uppsats var att belysa den personliga meningen och motivationsfaktorerna vilka kvinnor i vården upplever har hjälpt dem att vidmakthålla sin regelbundna motion. Två studier (Deci & Ryan, 1991; 2000) beskriver hur en person med en god uppbyggd inre motivation vidmakthåller motivationen för motion så länge som intresset finns. Dessa studier visade också att inre motivation ger en längre varaktighet av aktiviteten än yttre motivation (ibid.). Tre intervjuer genomfördes där data analyserades med tematisk analys kopplat till en hermeneutisk ansats. Resultaten visade motivationsfaktorer såsom att bli piggare, fysisk styrka samt att satsa på sig själv.

The goal is to find ways in which the emotional aspects of a design solution can be varied without compromising the practical aspects, i.e. affect the conveyance of information. This
goal is pursued through an analysis of historical and contemporary literature as well as by design practise.
Motion capture och skräck : Hur skakiga rörelser påverkar skräckupplevelsen hos en zombie-spelkaraktär
Det här arbetet syftade till att undersöka om de skakningar och ryck som uppstår vid en dålig motion capture-inspelning, kan användas till fördel i skräcksammanhang och utveckla den skrämmande egenskapen hos en zombiekaraktär. Som bakgrund har undersökningen gått igenom litteratur kring Zombies, The uncanny valley, Das Unheimliche och deras förhållande till spel.Till det material som skapades till undersökningen genomfördes en motion capture-inspelning och sedan skapades tre stycken videoklipp föreställande en zombie. Datan ur inspelningen redigerades på tre olika sätt och varierade mängden ryckighet i zombiens rörelser. Undersökningen utfördes med intervjuer av både icke-skräckerfarana och skräckerfarna informanter.Resultatet visade att det klipp där skak och ryck tillförts uppfattades som mest läskigast av en majoritet av informanterna. Slutsatsen skulle däremot ha kunnat validerats i högre utsträckning med fler intervjuade informanter..

Due to increasing demands on the information systems, Banverket Trafik needs to update the present system architecture in order to manage the increasing demands on map graphics and map functions. This paper analysis the information system Opera on the basis of theory and support of methods and discuss problems and demands for Opera.
Skapande av animationer för interaktiv spelmedia genom motion capture
In this thesis I will propose and test a pipeline for creating in-game animations using motion capture technology, with the aim to export to a 3D game engine, such as UDK or similar. Even though there are already established pipelines for creating in-game animations in the game industry, they are not of public knowledge and dissemination of information is hindered by the severe NDA (non-disclosure agreements) imposed on the studios and artists. I will therefore use my experience with game production and as a student, to research and propose an optimal pipeline for developing in-game animation that may be used by other students, researchers and independent game developers. The methodology used to test the pipeline will be a case study based on the student project Synergy, which I am developing with other third year students also attending the Game design Education at Gotland University..

This is a master thesis work carried out at the Department of Energy and Environment atthe Division of Electric Power Engineering. The master thesis work describes the theoryof distance protection relaying in 130 kV meshed distribution networks. The main aim ofthe thesis was to construct an Excel application for calculation and documentation of thesettings for distance protection relays. The program is based on general methods forcalculating settings of the different zones for the distance relay and presents the settingsin simple graphics using quadrilateral characteristics.The reason for building an Excel based application is the great variety of distanceprotection relays in live networks. The manufacturers of distance protection relays makeprogram for documentation available, however, they are based on the typical settings forthe specific relays.

Studies show that product placement is becoming a more and more common method for companies to use when communicating with consumers. The results of this study can?t confirm nor deny that claim, but instead we offered the observation that as a communication method, product placement and TV-commercials are more similar than revealed at first glance.Cars of the brand Ford appeared in seven out of the 50 motion pictures that made up the sample material in this study. In several instances the values that were communicated regarding the brand matched, completely or in large parts, the values communicated about the Ford brand in Ford?s own commercials.This doesn?t hold true for all companies.

Do ceramics have to be static? This was the question that spurred me into this work, and what kept me working on to achieve the possibility of motion in my ceramic objects. By combining the knowledge gained through my former education as an avionics technician with my interest in the ancient ceramic craft, I strive to create kinetic ceramic handicraft suitable for interaction with an audience.By a series of different phases I slowly go from understanding what kind of motion I want my objects to have, to actually realizing this motion in three-dimensional objects. Through the use of simple models made from corrugated fiberboard followed by more advanced plaster models, combined with different complementary materials such as bicycle inner-tubing and recycled aluminium cans among many others, I, through a vast series of testing, slowly build up a knowledge base later applied to the ceramic objects.The result is for me a success; I have found a way for me to combine ceramics with mechanics. Through this I have created kinetic ceramic handicraft intended for interaction with an audience..
