Som sto?d och hja?lp till att stimulera eleverna till en god insta?llning till fysisk aktivitet finns idrottsla?raren.

The aim of this work was to study if the edge of the forest is more resistant to heavy winds than the trees located further in from the edge, and how this edge effect changes between different types of tree species and site types. The data was collected from an electric power line going from the north to the south of Sweden. The mean value of the clearcutted area around the power line was 120 meters. The main direction of the storm in January 2005 was west-southwest and thus the power line was a perfect place for gathering a large data set. The main parameter studied was the damage frequency at the edge of the forest compared to the trees located further in from the edge (up to 100 m from the power line). Tree species mixture, soil moisture class, soil type, topography, stand height, stand height of the stand on the other side of the power line and wind exposition was estimated. The results showed a distinct edge effect. The edge of the forest had clearly lower damage frequency for all tree species. A marked difference was observed between tree species and damage frequency.

The purpose of this study is to conduce to the understanding of what challenges the HRdepartmentfaces in the work with the psychosocial work environment in nonprofit organizationsin Sweden. A particular focus in the study is on how the certain features of the nonprofit sectoraffect and tend to contribute to these challenges. In both Swedish and International research thereappears to be a lack of studies that deal with the psychosocial work environment in the nonprofitsector, which is one of the main reasons for this study. International research show, among otherthings, that employees in this sector have a higher degree of work satisfaction than in othersectors. Especially, they value the sense of making a contribution to the society, to get feedbackon their work performance as well as they expect a high level of co-determination.

Webbloggens aktualisering i medielandskapet har inspirerat oss till denna uppsats vilken behandlar detta nya fenomen. Främst riktas uppsatsens fokus mot att studera hur webbloggens potential kan användas som komplement till andra kanaler som används för nyhetsförmedling och debatt i det offentliga rummet. Vidare önskar vi finna svaret på om någon demokratisk funktion för webbloggen existerar? Kan webbloggen som kommunikationskanal bidra till att skapa en deliberativ demokrati genom att inbjuda till dialog i offentligheten. Kan den information som publiceras komplettera den traditionella nyhetsförmedlingen?Till grund ligger en kvalitativ studie som bygger på fältstudier på sex bloggande journalister och deras webbloggar.

The porpuse of this paper is to find out how three teachers working in years four to six in a Swedish school say they use formative assessment and how they use it in educational practice, and if there is a difference in the use of formative assessment between year four, five and six. Formative assessment is the kind of assessment that aims to enhance the student?s learning, as opposed to summative assessment wich is intended only to summarize student?s accomplishments. To answer the purpose, I conducted qualitative interviews with the teachers, and observations in each of the teachers? classrooms.

A common problem in forestry is plant death caused by frost. The risk of frost is highest on wind protected, flat or low-lying areas in the terrain. Here you often have regeneration problems with Norwegian spruce which is especially sensitive to spring frost. Swedish tree experiments have shown that the black spruce can be a suitable alternative on these areas, for example on moisture frost prone areas. The species originates from North America and its pioneer tree characteristics make it more frost hardy than Norwegian spruce.

This rapport is result of a project. The purpose of which was to design a circuit that is used in a heat glove. The heat glove is the technical aid which provides heat inside a glove.It is specially suited for old people who have problems with cold hands because of decreased blood circulation.There already was an old circuit in the glove that gives a constant current which develops heat from battery to glove through a circuit. The temperature is between 32 and 34 degrees.The problem with the existing circuit was to regulate the temperature. There is only on/off switch and there is no way to adjust desirable value of the temperature.In order to solve the problem the old circuit was investigated.

The purpose of this thesis is to highlight the work with line extensions by companies in the media industry. To obtain this purpose a case study was performed to learn about Norrbottens Media?s actions regarding their new launch of the magazine Extra. Information was gathered through an interview and media observations and was analyzed and compared to previous studies on the subject. Results of this case study show that the main reasons for the company?s line extension were new trends on the market and that the company had unexploited recourses to make use of.

Denna uppsats undersöker problemet med att få kvinnor blir delägare på advokatbyråer. Herzbergs tvåfaktorteori används för att undersöka om skillnader i personalmotivation mellan män och kvinnor är en bidragande faktor till detta problem. Efter genomförda intervjuer med ledningen och besvarade enkäter av anställda på advokatbyråer kan det konstateras att det finns avgörande skillnader i faktorer som motiverar män respektive kvinnor i arbetet. Hackmans och Oldhams implementeringsplan för arbetsberikning utgör grunden för de lösningsförslag som presenteras. Sammantaget innehåller lösningsförslagen utökat arbetande i team, tidigare klientkontakt, ökad transparens, tidigare ledarskapsutbildning, mer feedback samt alternativa karriärvägar..

Socialt stöd i rollen som enhetschef inom Socialförvaltningen är intressant med anledning av att deras arbete är självständigt och ensamt. Enhetschefernas mellanposition i organisationen innebär att förväntningar finns från flera nivåer inom organisationen. Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapsbilden och förståelsen för enhetschefers sociala stöd. Jag är intresserad av vad de upplever att de får för socialt stöd i chefsrollen samt vilka stödpersoner de anser är viktigast. Syftet är också att ta reda på vilken betydelse socialt stöd har för enhetscheferna i deras roll som chef.

In Sweden, the demand for bio energy has increased in recent years due to the current energy and climate debate. In 2008, the energy supply of Sweden was 612 TWh, biofuels accounted for 123 TWh of these. Stumps have been highlighted as a potential fuel in recent years and the Swedish Forest Agency expects a technically and biologically feasible potential of 20.7 TWh annually between 2010 and 2019. The idea of utilize stumps is not new. During the 19th century stumps were used for tar production and during the 70?s and 80?s attempts were made to use stumps in the pulp industry.

Calcareous fens constitute a specific habitat which is uncommon in Europe and protected by the EU habitat directive due to its importance to several threatened species. Hagebyhöga in Östergötland is a calcareous fen habitat included in the Natura 2000 Networking Programme. Adjacent to the existing fen, a degraded fen area is situated. The area has been used for agriculture for several years but is now going to be restored to its former state by the county administrative board of Östergötland.When working with restoration of degraded fen areas it is important to aquire knowledge about the chemical soil conditions. Plant growth limited by phosphorus and low fertility are characteristic conditions for calcareous fens, whilst arable land usually is highly fertile and limited by nitrogen.The purpose of this study is to bring forth useful knowledge for restoring the degraded calcareous fen of Hagebyhöga.

Background: Palliative care is something that all people should have the right to be allowed to, to be able to enjoy the qualities of life, even when someone has been afflicted with illness that cannot be cured. How do the nurses in municipal home-care deal with and prepare themselves to perform a righteous task? Aim: The aim of this study is to illuminate nurses, comprehensions of palliative care within municipal home-care. Method: The method is a questionnaire to nurses. Results: The results did comply to law and regulations.

Idag  används  datorer,  surfplattor  och  mobiler  i  allt  större  utsträckning.  Ett  sätt  att försöka  minska utvecklingskostnader  för  mjukvaruföretag  är  att  bygga  ett  generellt gränssnitt  som  fungerar  på  alla dessa  plattformar.  Det  finns  stora  skillnader  mellan de  olika  plattformarna,  till  exempel  skärmstorlek, vilken inmatningsmetod som används och i vilka sammanhang plattformarna används. Denna studie har undersökt  om  det  är möjligt  att  bygga  ett  generellt  gränssnitt  för  ett  affärssystem.  Ett  par  viktiga faktorer som  bör  iakttas  vid  ett  generellt  system  lyfts  fram,  exempelvis  knappstorlek, feedback  och komplexitet.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur skyddsombuden inom Luleå kommuns grundskolor upplevde Arbetsmiljöverkets tillsyn, med fokus på kommunikationen utifrån ett processperspektiv. Studien baseras på halvstrukturerade intervjuer med åtta skyddsombud. Resultaten visade att skyddsombuden, i överlag upplevde en tillsyn som något positivt. Däremot visade vår studie på upplevda svårigheter i kommunikationen vid delar av tillsynen. Utifrån kommunikationsprocessens faser upplevdes avsaknad av feedback som det mest framträdande hindret i processen.
