Research shows that almost 30 per cent men and 20 per cent women at the age of 16-24 in Sweden download music on a regular basis instead of buying records. Thanks to modern technologies teenagers of today have become used to downloading music illegally from theInternet. Even though legal alternatives, such as Spotify, have become popular, the behavior of illegal download of music still persists. What do record companies do to prevent this phenomenon and why do they go to such length to stop this widespread movement? The question is, why is illegal download of music a problem ? and for whom? To investigate this I?ve read books about the subject, analyzed web pages of alternative record companies and interviewed a drummer in a local band.

The aim of this essay was to deepen the knowledge of how child-protection-work is illustrated by massmedia. The essay takes it stand in discourse analysis to explain what image is displayed of social work concerning child-protection that is published in news media during 2007 in one of Sweden?s most read evening-papers. The result of the study is that social workers involved in child-protection-work often are categorized as either too zealous or too uncommitted, in the media. In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

The purpose of this study was to examine and illustrate whether employed social workers, working with supplementary benefits at a social service office, felt stressed. If so was the case, we wanted to investigate if this stress that they felt had any effect on their clients. This study was based on eight qualitative interviews, of which four was with social workers and four was with clients. For a better understanding of our results we used Karasek & Theorells demand-control-support model.The study reveals that the social workers do feel stressed, but they only do so in periods. They declare that they would like to have more time for their work assignments, the meetings with the clients in particulate.

This study of literature from the period 1920-1955 has shown that the profession of gardeners in Sweden went through several structural changes in the early and midst 20th century. The gardeners knowledge, which used to cover the whole horticultural spectra, was due to that no longer appreciated or useful. Prior the 1920?s the gardeners, especially the skilled craftsmen working for the upper-classes, were the ones who led progression in the horticultural field forward and their qualifications were many and diverse. Due to many factors, such as low economic and social status, functionalistic style and the fact that the branch were rationalized and modernized in general, lead up to a point where the gardener of old no longer fitted in, in the much more globalized and modern world of the 1950?s. .

This thesis aims to propose a plausible design and construction of the lost gable pediments of the Glassworks Villa in F?glavik, anno 1875. Through a combination of building inspections, photo analysis and 3D modeling, the researcher utilizes the combined results to digitally recreate the decoration that once adorned the gothic revival villa's gable, to serve as basis for its actual reconstruction. The study further highlights the use of modern technological tools, such as 3D modeling software, to further enhance the understanding of historical architectural elements. The researcher also emphasizes the challenges and considerations involved in preserving and reconstructing historical architectural details for future conservation endeavors..

The downsizing of the Swedish armed forces during the late 20th century and early 21 th century has caused several thousand people to choose a different career. This undergraduate thesis investigates the self-observed employability and work-place competence of a number of Swedish armed forces officers who has made the transition to a civil career. The thesis seeks to answer questions about how the transition is comprehended, how military merits and competences are valued in civil work places and which differences in ability to use their competences the respondents experience. The study is made using qualitative interviews, which are analysed using a miexed method inspired by phenomenological method. The findings include that the essence of the respondents emplooyability is a shared work indentity as miltary officers and a common experienced problem in translating their merits.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att genom granskning av ledarskapsutbildningen vid YOP 06/09, samt händelser och upplevelser kopplat till utlandsstyrkan, undersöka huruvida utbildningsmetodiken inom ramen för ledarskapsutbildningen vid YOP 06/09 kan anses som relevant.Frågeställningarna i detta arbete är:-          Tillämpas upplevelsebaserat lärande inom utlandsstyrkan?-          Tillämpas upplevelsebaserat lärande inom ledarskapsutbildningen vid YOP 06/09?Tillvägagångssättet för att nå ett svar på dessa frågor är en deskriptiv avhandling beträffande UBL, utbildningsmetoder vid YOP06/09. Dessutom granskas både delar ur ledarskapsutbildningen vid YOP 06/09 samt  upplevelser och erfarenheter från utlandsstyrkan utifrån ett UBL perspektiv. Resultatet som framkommer av diskussionen visar att UBL tillämpas i utlandsstyrkan inom ramen för detta arbetes avgränsningar. Tillämpningen av UBL inom ledarskapsutbildningen vid YOP 06/09 är dock att se som begränsad. Det framkommer däremot alternativa sätt att tolka tillämpningen vilket leder till att utbildningsmetoderna i högre omfattning kan ses som relevanta i ett större tidsperspektiv..
