Introduction: Sleep disorders are an increasingly growing public health problem. InSweden, the last decade's increase in sleep problems was greatest among younger agegroups. Studies show association between the use of communication media and sleepinghabits. Objective: The aim is to map sleep habits and use of communication mediumamong adolescents and to study associations between them. Method: The study isbased on a previously collected survey data among high school students (18-21 years)from a coastal town in southern Sweden.

Today there are a big need for a system that delivers overview of all available units for different municipalities and shipping- and security companies due to the increasing requirements for efficiency. The purpose with this graduation thesis is to find out which systems that is suitable to use while developing cost-effective software for positioning and to produce a prototype for such solution.This assignment has been done at the request of PocketMobile Communications AB. PocketMobile is a company that are specialized on delivering modern mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workers.This master thesis can be split into two separate parts, the theoretic- and the practical part.The theoretic part includes producing a number of functional requirements in cooperation with PocketMobile and comparing the available systems against the function requirements.The practical part deal with the development of a prototype that demonstrates the software recommended. The development tools that best matched the functionality requirements when the selection was made in May 2007 were Map24 and OpenLayers. The system that was selected to use while developing the prototype was Map24, because this product matches all of the requirements and it is also suited for professional usage regarding support, scalability and reliability.

Vi har varit en grupp på fyra studenter som på tio veckors tid skall ha utvecklat några applikationer, samt ett bibliotek för att kunna hantera diverse gester till ett system som kan hantera flera användare samtidigt. Vi har fått i uppdrag av Luleå Tekniska Universitet att prova denna relativt nya teknik och se vad den kan ha för kapacitet och användningsområden i framtiden. Min uppgift i arbetet var att hjälpa till att utveckla ett bibliotek för att hantera olika gester som en användare kan tänkas göra. I detta examensarbete så berättar jag om hur man skall kunna upptäcka komplexa gester i ett system där flera användare kan påverka samtidigt. Jag kommer med denna rapport att ta upp de problem jag har haft, vilka lösningar jag har kommit fram till samt vad jag ser på möjliga framtida tillägg till biblioteket.

Denna rapport beskriver utvecklingen av en mobil webbapplikation som vi utvecklat åt Tieto. Målet var att skapa en mobil version av deras redan existerande webbtjänst Edwise, som är en webbaserad lärplattform. Applikationen innehåller nyheter, schemaaktiviteter samt möjligheten att registrera studentfrånvaro. Applikationen är utvecklad i ASP.NET med programmeringsspråket C#. Vi har använt oss av arkitekturen MVC för filstrukturen och uppbyggnaden av applikationen, samt ramverket jQuery Mobile för att ge ett mobilanpassat utseende.

Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) is the umbrella term for different techniques that make it possible to build rich and interactive user interfaces in today?s web browsers. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) describes how common services can be bundled and published so they can be consumed by different systems.The company SYSteam Evolution AB, which has requested this project, wanted a web application that shows a graphical activity chart in order to easier view ongoing projects. The goal for this project is to develop a demo platform that shows how AJAX and SOA can be used to create flexible and reusable applications.

Examensarbetet syftar till att konstruera operatörsgränssnittet till en UGV (eng Unmanned Ground Vehicle) för mobil rekognosering i tätbebyggt område. Operatörsgränssnittet består av både mjuk- och hårdvara. Till operatörsgränssnittet har ett grafiskt användargränssnitt utvecklats där tonvikten legat på användbarhet med funktionalitet för positionering med geografisk presentation och sensorpresentation. Förutom en presentationsenhet för sensorinteraktion och manövrering av farkost ingår en sändtagarenhet för kommunikation mellan operatör och farkost. In order to understand user behaviour and navigation patterns, user logging is today widely used in analysis and development of user interfaces. These user logs tend to be quite many and can contain a lot of different data. A big issue is how to process and display this data in a perspicuous way to the stakeholder. This study is about how to develop a prototype to handle this issue. It was solved by various methods from human-computer interaction.

Animal welfare during transport has for a long time been a problem around the world. Many animals are transported in stressful environments for slaughter. Even during Roman and Antiquity times wild animals were transported from Africa to the amusement parks in Rome. The aim of our work was to compare how well Sweden and Denmark are performing their inspections of transports of cattle and pigs for slaughter. Today, overloaded transports and poor treatment is not uncommon in Europe and every year 22 million animals are transported between countries.

This report is a bachelor thesis presented at the department of Computer Science andEngineering at Chalmers University of Technology. The aim for the project is to find a simplemethod to measure and display physical quantities in a three dimensional room.The report describes a method to construct a system for measuring differentphysical quantities via sensors. The system must be built in a modular and expandable way tobe adaptable to different tasks.The system explained in the report consists of two parts;A physical scanner with moveable probes for carrying sensors and a microcontroller forcontrolling the probes and communicating with the next part.An application written in Java for storing the measured values and presenting them in a lucidperspective.It is possible to construct the scanner with different designs and circuitry, with multiplexers andflip-flops, to ensure that an unspecified number of probes can be added to the system and thatthey can be operated simultaneously.The Java application is written in a modular way, using a design pattern that separates eachindividual part of the application. iPhone belongs to the group smartphones. It is a type of mobile phones that has a richer interface and allows more advanced preformences, i.e surfing the Internet and handling e-mails. This report outlines the work to develop an iPhoneapplication from idea to released product. The project is a thesis which was commissioned by ICA AB (a major Swedish grocery chain). The report includes how the work has been carried out in practice and theory.

The purpose with this work that is the basis for this thesis was to help Nattavaara Economical association to develop a program for handling invoices, customer information, and storage. The program and this thesis have been done in cooperation with the economical association in Nattavaara. Some of the demands on the program are that it shall handle customer information, storage status, invoices and diesel consumption. The program must be able to printout invoices, reminders, delivery notes, a customer list and a storage list. All information will be stored in a database.
