W3C Geolocation API ur ett utvecklarperspektiv
The goal of this thesis is to investigate the W3C Geolocation API from a
developer?s perspective, focused on whether it makes development of
location-based applications more accessible to developers. This has been
investigated by looking at available ways to locate, possible uses, the
functionality offered, the necessary level of prior knowledge needed for a
developer and requirements on developer tools.
This has been achieved through studies in relevant areas, a thorough
introduction to W3C Geolocation API functionality, and by using the API to
develop two different location-based applications as a demonstration. Testing
of applications, on different platforms and in different environments, in
conjunction with investigation of the rest of the material has shown that W3C
Geolocation API in many ways actually makes development of location-based
applications more accessible for developers. The API also provides fully
adequate functionality and quality to meet the requirements for development of
both simple and very advanced location-based applications.
The usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for several applications has in-creased during the past years. One of the possible applications are aerial imagecapturing for detection and surveillance purposes. In order to make the captur-ing process more efficient, multiple, cameraequipped UAV:s could fly in a for-mation and as a result cover a larger area. To be able to receive several imagesequences and stitch those together, resulting in a panoramavideo, a softwareapplication has been developed and tested for this purpose. All functionality are developed in the language C++ by using the software li-brary OpenCV. All implementations of different techniques and methods hasbeen done as generic as possible to be able to add functionality in the future.Common methods in computervision and object recognition such as SIFT, SURF and RANSAC have been tested..
Today, Ericsson Microwave Systems (EMW) uses non-graphical user interfaces in some of their Ada95 applications. EMW wishes to develope a more easy-to-use and platform independent graphical user interface (GUI) for their applications. To meet these requirements EMW has chosen to evaluate Java in GUI development with Ada95. To make it possible for the Java GUI to communicate with the Ada95 application, some kind of standardized interface is required. CORBA is a specification of such an interface.
Utvärdering av ramverket JQuery for mobile
The PhonePages of Sweden is a company that develops software for mobile units, especially cell phones. This thesis treats the development of, and contingencies for, a mobile phone directory, using the limited resources found in a mobile unit. The project was implemented and executed at The PhonePages with the intention of creating a product to sell to a third party.By studying different solutions, their benefits and drawbacks, an abstract picture of the product was constructed. Problems covered include compatibility problems caused by todays platform diversity as well as problems with saving, organizing and presenting data. The main goal was to create a phone directory which does not make external information retrievals. The service should contain both company and personal information, with name and phonenumber.
Network RTK is a real-time technique for accurate positioning with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The technology means the use of correction data from a network of GNSS receivers with known positions (reference stations) to reduce the uncertainty in position for the user´s GNSS receiver (rover). However, this requires that the correction data can be transferred seamlessly to the user in real time. Commonly the corrections are transferred via mobile phones. The Swedish National Land Survey operates a nationwide Network RTK service, where users can receive correction data via GSM or mobile Internet (GPRS).

Den levande policyn
In today's changing environment, an increasing number of companies are realizing thebenefits of analyzing business information and thereby stay competitive. By making use ofdecision support systems, known as Business Intelligence (BI), organizations are expected tocollect and process business data and thus get more out of their business.Nowadays it is not enough for organizations to have access to corporate data inside officewalls, they must also be able to bring the information "on the go", which has been thefoundation for the progress of mobile BI solutions. As the mobility increases and thecorporate data leaves the office, new risks arise, which is one reason as to why manycompanies hesitate at the idea of introducing mobile BI solutions. In this paper we explore two security aspects in the area of mobile BI solutions. Our researchquestion is as follows: How does security aspects affect a company's decision to acquiremobile BI solutions? The survey was conducted through interviews in cooperation with thefirm Optivasys, exclusively dedicated to the BI solution QlikView.A significant part of the theory we studied describes security as critical; however, ourresearch suggests a solution on how companies can manage the security aspects.

Researchers at Karlstad University have developed a method for making paper ion conducting. The reasearchers want to test this technique in various applications and produce products that make use of the ion-conducting paper. Hopefully this will drive the development forward and result in new applications for the ion-conducting paper. This study was to test the possibility of manufacturing a gas sensor of conducting paper along with electrodes of conductive polymers printed on the paper. By comparing the paper sensor with an electrochemical cell in which the electrodes of conductive polymer replaces electrodes of metal and ion-conductive paper replaces the liquid electrolyte in the electrochemical cell, it was hoped that it would be possible to measure the oxidation and reduction reactions that a gas could introduce at the electrodes. It was shown that it is possible to measure a potential difference in the range of 0.3 V to 0.5 V between the electrodes when exposing an electrode to 100% oxygen. The reaction that takes place is relatively slow and the reaction rate is partly due to the distance between the electrodes.Since the sensor can measure oxidation and reduction reactions it is possible that, in further development of a sensor, the sensor can be made ??into a versatile sensor with more applications than gas measurement as there are many more ways to oxidize or reduce the electrodes than by exposure to oxygen.During the study there have been discussions and meetings held with various companies in the sensor industry to be able to specify what the market demands of a sensor made ??of paper and the requirements that must be placed on the sensor for it to be interesting for the companies..
