Stockholm lider idag av omfattande bostadsbrist och ständigt ökande befolkningsmängd. För att möta detta ökande behov av bostäder i Stockholm finns en nödvändighet i att utforska nya vägar till att åstadkomma detta. Här finns en unik möjlighet till en förtätning av staden genom att utnyttja Stockholms stora vattenarealer för att bygga flytande bostäder.Som alternativ till den traditionella byggkonsten ämnar examensarbetet till att demonstrera de kvaliteter som finns med att bo på vatten genom att utforma ett attraktivt bostadsområde med flytande konstruktion. Projektet illustreras i det tidigare hamnområdet vid Liljeholmskajen i Årstadals hamn, Stockholm. För att åstadkomma detta utförs fallstudier på olika typer av flytande konstruktioner som finns på den svenska marknaden för att fastställa de bästa konstruktionslösningarna som leder till färdiga förslagshandlingar.Resultatet visar att ett flytande bostadsområde är genomförbart med dagens teknik som ett sätt att förtäta staden.

To be able to maintain an adequate ITservice for various users and needs,more municipalities are looking at thepossibility for mergers of local ITdepartments. One solution for mergingmultiple services/functions and creatingsynergy opportunities is called SharedService Center (SSC). The concept of SSCis that the administrative serviceitself becomes a core activity withinthe organization. The aim of this thesisis to provide municipalities who areconsidering a merging of their local ITdepartments with recommendations on howto design the Shared IT Service Center.Recommendations are outlined based on ananalysis of IT-management literature,reports and by conducting a study onthree ongoing collaborations.The conclusions drawn from the studysuggest guidelines for the design of aShared IT Service Center formunicipalities. A central question is what view of communication is dominating in a municipality in the southern part of Sweden. The study deals with communication theory from two different perspectives; the view of transmission and the view of creation of meaning. Falkheimer and Heide (2003) claim that the view of transmission is one-way communication where the receivers apprehend passivly. In the view of creation of meaning the goal is to develop and strengthen the common notion that exists in a group. Empirical studies were done, that consisted of qualitative interviews with politicians, directors of the municipality, and principals from three childcare and school areas, and also from one upper secondary school.

AbstractIn the past decades the newspaper industry went through many changes but it has never had a problem of this kind. With the freedom the Internet brings us today and the wide range of information channels, the newspaper is for the first time seriously challenged.When the newspapers began to establish themselves on the internet they thought it was only to copy the content of the newspaper on to their webpage and the advertisers would come along. This move was not planed and had no vision. When the advertisers discovered Internets wide range of advertisement platforms they started to look for other places they could put their ads. This thesis is about the local newspapers ability to address the problem that the internet has created. I based my study on the following issues:Why has internet caused this problem for the newspapers?What are the prerequisites for local newspapers when they face challenges from the internet?How have the advertisers acted after the emergence of this challenge?To answer these questions I did qualitative interviews with different personalities within the newspaper industry, two local newspaper executives and two professors in media economics. In conclusion the result shows that there are different opinions regarding these questions and different views of how to solve them.

While conducting our practical training we experienced how the structure and the complexity of the municipal administration could, from a white-collar workers perspective, become a limitation and burden for efficient work. Deriving from this experience we found an interest in how politicians reasoned with regards to their relationship with supervisor in municipal old-age care. Kouzes och Micos (1979) ?Theory of organizational behavior in human service? became our point of departure. Their framework was therefore the foundation for our research and work throughout this paper.Our aim with this research was to examine how politicians viewed their relationship with supervisor in municipal old-age care.

It was the purpose of the present study to explore thoughts and lines of reasonings concerning body perspectives in school. Based on students at a secondary school and on analyses of the curricula of the school, I reason about how we see the human being and the importance of it in school. In the introduction I start out from observations and highlight the body as a communicative channel leading up to the issue of students? basic view of man as integrated or devided in body and soul. A study of twelve interviews of students shows that thoughts about the two perspectives had not been identified until now but that a great deal of interest existed for discussion on this subject.

Weekly lifestyle magazines constitute an important role for many young people these days. Their purpose is to inform and entertain a broad public within subjects such as fashion, friends, relationships, men and beauty. Frida and Veckorevyn are two big magazines that have a big influence on young women. One subject that frequently occurs is articles about men, written by women. This study focus on how (with which qualities and weaknesses) these women choose to subscribe men.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur fritidspedagoger och lärare upplever hur samverkan fungerar i det dagliga arbetet på skola och fritidshem. Vi har intervjuat fyra lärare och fyra fritidspedagoger på en 0-6 skola i Boden. Den kvalitativa intervjun har vi använt oss av som metod för att få kunskap om den intervjuades situation. Eftersom samverkan mellan våra blivande yrkesroller som fritidspedagog respektive lärare i de tidigare åren, kommer att fylla en stor funktion i vår vardag, så vill vi få en insikt i hur detta kan utföras i praktiken och få mer kunskap i området. Fungerar detta samarbete eller finns det brister? Detta skulle leda till en mer positiv bild och upplevelse av skolan och fritidshemmet.

Bakgrund: Mycket av företagens potentiella vinster uteblir på grund av dålig koppling mellan strategi och prestation samt på grund av dåliga system för prestationsmätningar. Ett företag av Nelson Gardens storlek skulle kunna tjäna avsevärt mycket mer om strategiernas implementering mäts på ett lämpligt sätt.Syfte: Att designa ett lämpligt prestationsmätningssystem för fallföretaget och däri integrera deras nuvarande system för ständiga förbättringar.Avgränsningar: Studien är avgränsad från att beskriva fallföretagets nuvarande strategier och nyckeltal i detalj samt från implementeringen av färdigt prestationsmätningssystem.Metod: Studien har genomförts som en fallstudie där lämplig teori har legat till grund för empiriinsamling som i sin tur har möjliggjort en analys.Slutsats: Utifrån företagets vision har strategiska målsättningar, framgångsfaktorer och nyckeltal presenterats. Tillsammans utgör dessa ett komplett Balanced Scorecard där särskilt fokus på kausala samband finns. Därutöver har en passande plats för företagets system för ständiga förbättringar identifierats i det designade prestationsmätningssystemet..

Andelen äldre invånare i Sverige har ökat stadigt sedan 1950-talet. Trygg Hemmakonsortiet arbetar med att utveckla nya sätt att ta hand om de äldre. Deras vision är attskapa ett intelligent hem som kan stödja de äldre i sitt kvarboende. Konsortiet består inuläget av elva företag och ett antal organisationer i Halmstad. Syftet med vårexamensarbete är att utreda hur Stakeholder Theory kan appliceras på ett konsortiumunder utveckling.

CSR har växt fram i samband med att ansvarslöst företagande uppmärksammat och allmänhetens medvetenhet kring sociala frågor ökat. En del småföretag i textilindustrin har positionerat sig som etiska och miljövänliga. Ledarna i dessa småföretag har styrt företagen utifrån värderingar som är kopplade till deras personliga värderingar. Syftet med studien är att belysa hur små modeföretag som implementerat CSR i konkurrensstrategin hanterar problemen som uppstår vid ledarens avgång. För studien har en kvalitativ undersökning valts.

The shopping mall branch has estimated that the turnover of e-commerce will double within the upcoming ten years (NSCS, 2013). The growth can thus stop for shopping malls and there is a risk that some shopping malls end up being "dead-malls", completely losing their turnover.The thesis starts off with presenting the background for the factors of trade, i.e. e-commerce and shopping malls.This is followed by a presentation of which integration possibilities there are in Sweden today and by examples from the British market. Thereafter follows a section on integration possibilities that shopping malls can use in order to integrate e-commerce instead of regarding it as a threat. This can be done in several ways, e.g.

The Public Sector Scorecard (PSS) is a younger version of the balanced scorecard, created for public and nonprofit organizations. The latest model of PSS is divided into three main groups and seven perspectives, while the balanced scorecard consists of four perspectives. Organizations who use either PSS or the balanced scorecard are supposed to have a clear vision spread all over the unit. This study has sought differences between the two models of financial control in both theory and practice. The first part of the study is a theoretical comparison between the models? structures and terms used in them.

The aim of the study was to investigate how a community motivates and ensures the implementation of its values and how this document affected personnel of meaning, vision and daily operations. The study was based on semi-structured interviews, in which nine respondents were interviewed in a city in southern Sweden. Interviews dealt with three different themes, all concerned organization or set of values. The analysis was based partly on how organizations and institutions build up and maintain their legitimacy. The analysis was also explained by the new institutional theory and its concepts isomorphism.
