Self-care has become an increasingly prominent concept in contemporary popular culture, where it is often associated with health, well-being, and empowerment. Drawing on six semistructured interviews with young women in Sweden, the study examines their understandings and practices of self-care. Through the concepts of aesthetic entrepreneurialism and affective labour, the study explores the forms of work on the self that emerge from these understandings and practices. The findings show that self-care can be understood as an extensive and ongoing project of managing and working on the self. This work is not primarily focused on bodily or appearance-oriented forms of self-development, but rather on cultivating certain affects and shaping one's relationship to oneself.

The purpose of this essay is to display the double moral that is prevailing in France concerning human rights. Immigrants and ethnic minorities are suffering from discrimination as well as racism. By looking at legislation in France concerning FGM/C and its difficulties it becomes clear that there is a correlation between the legislation and African women's situation in general. These women are denied their basic rights and are excluded from society. They are rendered invisible and vulnerable.

What every theory of democracy has in common is a reference to ?a people? who are, in one way or another, collectively self-governing. Given that, surprisingly little attention has been paid to the so called boundary problem of democratic theory, or, in other words, the question of who should be included in the democratic community. Lately, the historically given boundaries have been questioned in favour of a cosmopolitan democracy. Still, little has been said about the boundary problem in general, especially from a theoretical point of view.

Den allmänna uppfattningen i Sverige, före 1990-talet, var att ensamstående mammor inte skiljde sig så mycket från gifta mammor vad gäller försörjning och förvärvsarbete. Statistik från SCB (2009) visar dock att ensamstående småbarnsmammor ? ifall de förvärvsarbetar - jobbar fler timmar i genomsnitt än sammanboende småbarnsmammor. Syftet med denna studie var därför att undersöka ensamstående småbarnsmammors motivation till antal timmar i förvärvsarbete.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the view on sexuality held by Sweden?s first woman doctor Karolina Widerström, by using ideologycritical textanalysis on the written scriptures of dr. Widerström that focus on sexualpolitics. In doing this I use the theory of speech by Foucault. In this study I focus on Widerström?s scriptures, what she wrote about, how she wrote about it but also what she couldn't write due to the historical context and how omission can still speak of power.

Title: Organic / Synthetic in today's creative music making. This work intends to find out what synthetically versus organically produced music means for a songwriter / producer as well as for an artist in their everyday role of occupation. What are the positions regarding these two methods and how do they relate to these concepts? This study also concerns the general view of music produced with each one of these methods and to which extent there exists prejudice towards them. The method used for data collection is qualitative interviews.

Bolagsverket är den organisation som granskar att underrättelse har kommit in.Förändringen är till för att stärka revisorns oberoende så att en klient inte kan entlediga revisorn utan saklig grund. Då återstår frågan vad är saklig grund och kan ett entledigande bero på att de yrkesetiska reglerna inte följs av revisorn?Då klienten måste ange en motivering kommer frågan kan motiveringen som anges påverka det förtroende som klienten har mot revisorn? Då allmänhetens förtroende för revisorns rykte har stor betydelse för hur revisionen i sig skapar trovärdighet i de finansiella rapporterna. This essay investigates the relationship between Mildred and her daughter Veda in James M. Cains novel Mildred Pierce (1941). The purpose of the investigation is to point out how the relationship is portrayed in the film from 1945, and the TV-series from 2011. To facilitate the analysis I apply adaptation theorist Thomas Leicht?s list of ten different adaptation strategies to conclude the possible effects these strategies may have had on the relationship portrait and the themes of the novel.

A great fire seized a suburb in a small town in Sweden in the autumn of 2011. Parts of a shopping mall were burnt to the ground by youngsters. Due to the suburb's earlier problems, the event was a tough ethical dilemma for the town's journalists.The purpose of this thesis was to study and examine the local newspapers ethical treatment of this event. How do they motivate their decisions on what to publish and what not to publish? How do the articles treat ethical dilemmas? What do the journalists think about ethical journalism?This study is based on a survey of the articles published about the fire in the two local newspapers seven days after the fire.

Vi ville undersöka om ett aktivt arbete med samtal och gemensamma reflektioner kan leda till ett hos eleven ökat medvetande om att kunskap utvecklas i interaktion med andra. Undersökningen genomfördes i fyra klasser på en högstadieskola i Norrlands inland. Elevernas ålder vid undersökningstillfället var 14-15 år. Arbetet integrerades i den ordinarie undervisningen inom temat etik och ämnet litteratur. Undersökningen ägde rum under en period på åtta veckor, varav arbetet pågick under två veckor i varje klass.

The composition of the board of directors and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are two widely researched subject and discussed by the media. This study aims to examine the impact of the board of directors' composition on CSR performance among the largest companies listed on Nasdaq OMX stock exchange 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden. A linear regression analysis is applied to investigate the relationship and evidence is found that board attributes have an effect on CSR performance. Among these; the size of the board, outside directors and employee representatives all have a positive impact on environmental performance. Furthermore; female, outside directors and employee representatives have a positive impact on social performance.

Det här examensarbetet handlar om barns inflytande och integritet i pedagogisk dokumentation. I läroplanen för förskolan anges att alla som arbetar inom förskolan ska visa respekt för den enskilde individen i det vardagliga arbetet. Arbetet i förskolan ska präglas av ett synsätt som bygger på respekt för människors okränkbarhet, individens frihet och integritet och alla människor lika värde. Samtidigt ska arbetet i förskolan stödja barns identitet, självkänsla, självständighet och tillit till sin egen förmåga. Barn ska kunna ge uttryck för egna uppfattningar och förstå egna rättigheter (Utbildningsdepartement, 1998).

Syftet med denna rapport är att öka kunskapen och förståelsen kring bemötande och särskilt de svårigheter som kan uppstå i samband med möten med psykiskt störda personer. Vårt arbete bygger på litteraturstudier där vi tittat dels på litteratur som behandlar psykisk störning dels på litteratur som vi bedömt vara väsentligt när det gäller bemötande, dessa böcker behandlar etik och empati i bemötandet. I arbetet beskriver vi kort tre psykiska störningar, antisocial personlighetsstörning, borderline samt narcissistisk personlighetsstörning. Vidare beskriver vi olika teorier kring bemötande. I resultatet diskuterar vi kring svårigheterna i att konstatera om en individ lider av en psykisk störning eller inte.

Studiens syfte var att analysera svenska gymnasieböckers historiebruk. Analysobjekten var de två världskrigen. Krigen analyserades via flera olika parametrar, såsom vilka fronter och krigsbrott som redovisades, hur Sveriges roll beskrevs samt huruvida böckernas etiska ställningstaganden stämde överrens med GY11:s etik. Studien visade att de undersökta böckerna fokuserade på västvärldens insatser och att beskrivningarna av de östliga och asiatiska fronterna var försumbara. Detta tillsammans med bristen på beskrivningar av östligt och asiatiskt lidande ledde till slutsatsen att de undersökta böckerna inte stämde överrens med GY11:s etiska riktlinjer.
