The similarity between the Russian and the Indian, in a Cold War context, may be ambiguous considering the ethnic-social variables and the period in time from where the Indians relate. However, by analyzing these, as well as other, characters in the exhibition of movies, we could learn something about the ideology of the time from which the movies derive.This study examines ideology and movies in the Cold War era and concludes that the Indian, for example, may be representing the values of the common public enemy, originating from the Cold War ideology. The movies examined, regardless of influence of distinct Cold War themes or lack of such themes, carry attributes that give evidence of typical Cold War ideology. The fear of communism and common enemies connected to a Cold War context, the thought of America as the land of the free ? with the horizon in the ending of the movies as metaphoric to freedom ? and the moral rhetoric that connects to the American thought of a duty as a global savior, are all signs of the Cold War ideology.Even though the messages are somewhat clearer and more distinct in the movies with Cold War motifs, the fact that ideology is projected through other movies as well should be considered essential for the continuing study of movies as cultural artefacts..

In Uganda, small scale pig production plays a major role for households to earn a living and to secure their access to meat. Piglet mortality due to diar-rhoea-related dieseases is high. In an attempt to understand the underlying causes for this high mortality this study aims to investigate the role of trans-missible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and is a part of a larger project con-ducted at Makerere university in Uganda. A complicating factor in this investigation is the porcine respiratory corona-virus (PRCV), a stabile mutant form of the TGE virus. The occurrence of this virus had shown to alter the impact of TGEV in e.g. Europe and North Amer-ica.

Genom att undersöka inutitioner och strukturerade teorier i den filosofiska litteraturen formulerar och försvarar vi en normativ analysmodell som vi anser utgöra en lämplig utgångspunkt i en undersökning av en patentinstitutions legitimitet. Denna analysmodell ligger sedan till grund för en kritisk textanalys av EU-kommissionens förslag till direktiv för mjukvarupatent i Europa. Vi kommer i denna fram till att EU-kommissionens argumentation brister på en rad punkter eftersom man inte tar hänsyn till de värden som vi anser vara önskvärda.

Examensarbetet berör utvärdering och förbättring av kvalitetssystem vid Pfizer i Helsingborg. Data har samlats in, analyserats och därefter har förbättringsförslag tagits fram. Huvuddelen av datainsamlingen består av intervjuer som sedan analyserats med hjälp av teori inom TQM och gällande ISO standard. Övriga delar av datainsamlingen består bland annat av benchmarking. Svagheter med systemet har identifierat och rör bland annat, avsaknad av helhetsbild, kontrollinriktat samt suboptimeringar.

Transfer Pricing is a complex subject because it is affected by a large number of factors including the profit centers will to generate profits. This leads us to the subject of decision-making in a transfer pricing-systems. On what grounds are decisions made? Are transfer pricing purposes, factors and interests taken into consideration? What type of information is used in such decisions, how is the transfer price issue perceived and how is it used?Aim: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze which type of information that is makes up transfer prices, how the transfer price is perceived by different parties and how it is used for decision-making.Completion: A qualitative study has been performed with current theory as a starting point.

I och med att informationsteknologin (IT) har utvecklats så har det uppkommit nyamöjligheter att kommunicera över allt längre avstånd. Samtidigt har marknaden förmånga IT-företag blivit allt mer global vilket innebär att produkter behöver anpassasoch utformas så de kan användas i flera olika länder. Inom interaktionsdesign försökerman jobba nära de presumtiva användarna för att utvärdera produkter, genom såkalladeanvändbarhetstester, innan de lanseras. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka omkommunikationen mellan deltagare som befinner sig på samma fysiska plats somtestledare skiljer sig stort från kommunikationen mellan deltagare och testledare sominte gör det och hur detta påverkar användbarhetstestet och dess tolkning. Dettaundersöks genom kommunikationsanalys av inspelningar av två användbarhetstest, tvådär testledare och deltagare befinner sig på samma plats och två då de inte gör det.

In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.
