The study describes six upper secondary school students? thoughts of and stories about mentors and mentorship in secondary school. The mentorship has been studied with a hermeneutic approach from a narrative pupil relational perspective, which is influenced by the phenomenological humanity perspective. The aim of this study is to describe a few pupils? life worlds and to try to interpret how they describe and explain their own behavior related to mentorship and their mentors.

With this paper the aim is to find out whether there are any differences in how five students from the north part of Africa structures their tales in comparison with the Nordic tale "The emperor?s new clothes". The purpose is to look at how the genre pedagogy can be said to relate to these differences. What happens to the "deviant" structures?Based on literature and research on the subject, I have concluded that there are certain patterns of how a tale "should" be structured based on Western standards.

I föreliggande studie har nio socialsekreterare intervjuats i syfte att undersöka hur de ser på socialtjänstens bemötande av våldsutsatta kvinnor utan permanent uppehållstillstånd (PUT). I studien är det socialsekreterarnas föreställningar om våldsutsatta kvinnor utan PUT och den hjälp de kan få som står i centrum. Intervjumaterialet har analyserats utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv. I studien skildras kvinnor utan PUT som särskilt sårbara när de utsätts för våld. Denna sårbarhet kan både förstås som ett uttryck för kvinnornas våldserfarenheter och det faktum att de inte har rätt till samma stöd från socialtjänsten som andra våldsutsatta kvinnor..

This study aims to give an account of five teachers? views and understandings of second language (L2) learners? previous knowledge, as well as, their linguistic and cultural backgrounds. This is carried out by the means of qualitative interviews, where the sampling consists of five primary school teachers at various schools. The findings are presented and analyzed using a thematic analysis. Furthermore, the study indicates that teachers in general have a positive attitude to learning more about their L2 learners? prior knowledge and backgrounds, both for the pupils, as well as, their own sake.

Waara (2009) menar att människor är mobila i olika utsträckning i förhållande till åldern. I åldern 19-23 är vi som mest mobila och villiga att flytta för utbildning eller arbete. Det finns dock även de ungdomar som väljer att flytta redan i samband med att de påbörjar sina gymnasiestudier. Syftet med föreliggande studie är således att undersöka ungdomars upplevelse av att flytta hemifrån vid 15-16 års ålder för att för att läsa gymnasiet på annan ort än i hemkommunen. De drivkrafter vilka ligger bakom ungdomarnas val belystes med hjälp av fem djupintervjuer med ungdomar från olika delar av Norrbotten som alla hade flyttat till Luleå.

The purpose of my study is to highlight how children at preschool are affected by adult?s awareness of norms and interpretations of masculinity and femininity. The essay shows examples of boys? and girls´ expectations of each other and the preconceived notions of what boys and girls should or can do, and how we pedagogues relate to this matter. One example is about an encounter with a mother, where we have different opinions about her son´s wishes to be Lucia instead of Santa Claus.

Alcohol and drug abuse is something that undoubtedly exists in our society today. Our interest in this area was inspired by an earlier study of the influence of socialization on these dependencies. From this we developed new hypotheses concerning men and women?s drug and alcohol abuse. AbstractThe school today has an assignment to offset traditional gender patterns as well as to create opportunities for all pupils to achieve the same good results in school regardless of sex, ethnicity and conditions. The educator?s assignment is determined by governing documents, and the educator plays a role in helping the pupil find their equal role in society. This means that the educator needs to work in a way that offsets traditional gender patterns and require approaches that would benefit equal opportunities for both boys and girls to achieve good results.The purpose of the study was, through interviews, to get an idea of how primary school teachers from a gender equal perspective perceive how they see them relate to boys and girls in their teachings. The study is based on the presumptions that the pupils have but focusing on the relationship between school achievements and equality.The study brings up concepts like gender theories, equality, the biological sexes, the history of the schools development and changes in acceptance of boys and girls and the role of the governing documents to reach acceptable achievements.

During year 2004 Ålö AB made significant change in their production process. The production of front loaders is nowadays highly automated with short operation times. To be able to control their process in a better way Ålö recently decided that they needed a tool for simulation of their production and to shift patterns. This final thesis started with a pilot study in Ålö?s factory in Brännland.

Den problembild som denna uppsats uppmärksammar är den att studenter vid Luleå tekniska universitet i hög utsträckning väljer att flytta från Luleå efter avslutade studier. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utvärdera Luleå kommuns policy gentemot studenterna vid Luleå tekniska universitet (LTU) för att dels undersöka om policyn grundas på migrationsteori, samt om målet med policyn uppnås. I uppsatsen kommer Vedungs interventionsteori att användas som redskap för att synligöra hur kommunens policy är tänkt att fungera. Vid undersökningen av hur policyn är konstruerad kommer Luleå kommuns policy, migrationsteori och studenters åsikter att sättas samman med interventionsteori som grund för att visa hur de olika delarna är tänkt att påverka varandra för att policyn ska få väntat resultat. Den metod som använts är dels en litteraturstudie angående ämnet migration för att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar människor att flytta eller stanna.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att se om modellverksamheten resulterar i en mer rättssäker behandling av asylärenden. För att fullfölja syftet har jag följande frågeställningar: Vilka skillnader och likheter finns det mellan den traditionella verksamheten och modellverksamheten? På vilket sätt kommer modellverksamheten att innebära en förbättring eller försämring för den som söker asyl? För att ge svar på dessa frågor finns det kapitel som handlar om bland annat migrations- och asylpolitik, medborgarskap, mänskliga rättigheter, Sverige som rättsstat och modellverksamheten. Slutsatsen är att modellverksamheten kommer att innebära förbättringar och försämringar för den asylsökande. En av förbättringarna är att asylprocessen kommer att gå fortare än tidigare och en försämring kan vara att de asylsökande kan komma att behandlas på olika sätt..

Denna rapport kommer att redogöra för NK-cellers (Naturliga mördarceller) beteende vid odopat tillstånd. Det vi kallar dopning är när NK-celler aktiveras genom interleukin-2, detta är en signalerande molekyl i vårt immunsystem som reglerar aktiviteten hos vita blodkroppar vilka utgör en del av immunförsvaret.Med hjälp av ett par mikroskopfilmer har vi kunnat följa varje enskild NK-cells migration(rörelse) och interaktion med våra målceller i ett prov under en 8-timmars period. De målceller vi använder är en sorts tumörceller, HEK 293T(Human embryonic kidney 293T cells. Vi har valt att spåra cellerna manuellt med ett program kallat ImageJ och automatiskt med ett matlabprogram, Baxter algorithm. Anledningen till att vi dessutom valt att spåra automatiskt är för att kunna avgöra hur väl detta program kan spåra celler.

The migration flows of today reach out longer, there are more efficent ways of communication and travel. This has made previously ethnic homogeneous populations as the swedish more and more hetergeneous. Library services to inmigrant users started out as a specially directed activities. The aim of this work is to give an example of how archaeoacoustics can broaden our understanding of archaeological remains and to further contribute to the almost non-existing research of ringing stones. With a theoretical discussion about sound from three different perspectives and by means of using different kinds of analysis, this essay will show that there are unknown relations between the three known ölandic ringing stones and the cultural landscape of Öland. Possible patterns in the placement of the stones and the possibility of the sound in this soundscape will be investigated. The essay will also suggest a resonant stone typology and discuss the necessity of one. Finally, the intention is also to shed new light upon the discussion on what the uses of the ringing stones might have been..
