A customer of Sekonden IT is to replace the current setup authoring process for a program called PropCalc with a new process based on a setup authoring tool with high quality and usability.The report aims at present a suitable setup authoring tool for PropCalc by making use of a structured evaluation process evaluate the setup authoring tools on the market.Olof Næssén presents a process for evaluating web frameworks for Java in his thesis Utvärdering av webbramverk för Java. The evaluation process is adapted in the report to generally suit evaluation of software. When an error occurs in an IT system that is vital for the production of a major industry, the consequences can be great. To quickly identify and correct errors is important as a stop in a system can lead to a break in production, which is costly for the industry. Our task in this thesis has been to develop a system for ÅF that facilitates the debugging process of the system Paperline. The system's target audience is ÅF-call personnel that provides support for Paperline 24 hours a day if something goes wrong. The system consists of a Windows service, a database and a web application and is developed mainly with the techniques C#.NET, MVC 5, Google Charts, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Entity Framework.

Ett driftavbrott kan leda till förluster i både kapital och information. Detta kan motverkas genom att övervakningsprogram varnar tekniker när fel inträffar. Genom att få reda på problem i god tid kan risken för datorhaveri förebyggas.I undersökningen har övervakningsprogrammen utvärderats efter angivna punkter i en kravspecifikation. Utvärderingarna skedde genom att försöka få samma tjänster att övervakas i de olika programmen.

Carasoft AB är ett företag som specialiserat sig på utveckling av dokumenthanteringssystem. Man erbjuder bland annat ett Windowsbaserat dokumenthanteringssystem vid namn Caradoc. Systemet består av flertalet DLL:er skrivna i Delphi och har inte ändrats eller kompilerats sedan 2004. Det här examensarbetet har i syfte att utreda om det finns möjlighet att inom rimlig tid portera Caradoc till Windows 7, med hjälp av den nya Delphi-versionen XE2. Efter en förstudie i ämnet portering, programspråket Delphi och systemets struktur gjordes ett försök att portera systemets största DLL "OfficeUtils.dll".Erfarenheter från examensarbetet visar på tre viktiga förutsättningar för att porteringen ska lyckas.

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to analyze what suitable hardware platforms there are on the market in order to build a low price control and information system for mobile applications, called small display module. The thesis will be underlying material for making a decision for further development. The result of the thesis consists mainly of a Windows CE kernel and a schematic for a CPU card, on which it would be suitable to build the display module. Another major part of the report is the introduction of different techniques that could be of interest when designing a processor based system. The processor architecture that was chosen is the x86.

Den här studien undersöker för- och nackdelar med att migrera existerande mobilaapplikationer till Xamarins crossplatform ramverk Xamarin Forms. Metoden somanvänts för att samla in data är inom ramen för forskningsparadigmet Design Science.En prototyp har utvecklats med syftet att undersöka vad som är möjligt att migrera tillXamarin Forms. Prototyputvecklingen har dokumenterats i loggböcker som sedananalyserats som kvalitativ data. Två intervjuer har även genomförts med andraxamarinutvecklare med syftet att nå en djupare förståelse för ämnet. Studien harproducerat ett flödesschema för när ett beslut om att migrera en existerande applikationtill Xamarin Forms bör tas.

För att besvara delfråga 1 utförs en litteraturstudie med tillhörande analys, för att besvara delfråga 2 och 3 kommer flertalet kvasiexperiment att utföras i en labbmiljö. Dropbox har en speciell avdelning som sysslar enbart med säkerhetsrelaterade frågor som förespråkar att AES med 256 bitars kryptering bör användas.

För att kunna underhålla en stor website måste många saker tas i åtanke. Särskilt om man arbetar i en blandad miljö, som sker vid Högskolan i Skövde. Eftersom högskolan använder både PC-, Macintosh- och UNIX-datorer för att designa och uppdatera sina hemsidor, måste ett verktyg hittas som integrerar dessa tre plattformar på ett bra sätt.Denna rapport behandlar de problem som kan uppstå då en website skall underhållas, med tyngdpunkten på vad som gäller vid Högskolan i Skövde. Olika verktyg som innehar den önskade funktionaliteten undersöks innan ett av dem slutligen väljs. I ett samhälle där alla bör förstå och kunna använda sig av IT är skolan den plats där unga kanske för första gången får en chans att lära sig detta. Med den stundande nya grundskoleplanen ska även lågstadieelever börja använda sig av datorer. Det ökar behovet av en fungerande och bra IT miljö som kan användas och utnyttjas av alla. Men detta är också mycket resurskrävande. Ett sätt att undgå problem som kan uppstå, är att utnyttja sig av internet och olika sorters molntjänster för att placera delar av IT miljön externt.Detta skapar också en ny sorts flexibilitet som inte gör oss lika platsberoende.
