Begreppet controller har sitt ursprung i USA, där den började användas för drygt 100 år sedan. Till Sverige kom begreppet på 1970-talet. Controllerns uppgifter har förändrats under åren från att enbart vara inriktad mot bokföring till att ha en mer verksam roll i ledningsgruppen. I början förväntades controllern enbart vara en skicklig historiker. Rollen har sedan utvecklats till att controllern också förväntas vara en förutseende visionär.

Detta examensarbete gick ut på att konstruera ett system för trådlös styrning av hydrauldrivna maskiner där den trådlösa kommunikationen sker över Bluetooth.Sändaren i systemet skulle vara en kontroller med ett antal komponenter för styrning och indikering. Mottagaren tar emot information från kontrollern och skall utifrån denna kunna ställa ett antal utgångar på olika sätt.Resultatet blev en prototyp där utgångarna på en ?CAN to 9 Output Valve Controller? trådlös eller med kabel kan ställas genom att manövrera joystickar och andra komponenter på kontrollern..

Detta examensarbete går ut på att ta fram en applikation, avsedd för mobiltelefoner, där man på ett enkelt sätt kan få reda på avgångarna för Dalarnas kollektivtrafik. Det stigande bensinpriset och bilåkningens negativa miljöpåverkan ligger som grund till att Etex AB och Balanz AB vill undersöka om det går att få människor att välja bussen framför personbilen. Om man genom denna applikation kan underlätta planeringen av människors dagliga resor, hur påverkas då valet av fortskaffningsmedel?Resultatet blev en applikation där man, via sin mobiltelefon, bland annat kan ta reda på avgångar för utvalda linjer av Dalatrafiks bussar, hantera linjekartor och synkronisera avgångar med telefonens kalender. Alla tidtabeller sparas i telefonen för att minska nätverkstrafiken och för att informationen enkelt ska kunna återanvändas.Dalatrafik är det företag som ansvarar för kollektivtrafiken i Dalarna.

I was assigned to the thesis as part of a project GMA AB (Ground Machinery Applications AB) is running. The project aims to develop a new method for injection of drilled holes in rock walls. Currently, the injections usually involve cement but the basic idea of the project is to replace cement with a supplement called Silica sol.Silica sol is known as a gelling liquid. The gel time is controlled by a mixing of saline. Depending on the amount saline that gets mixed in, the gel time varies.

The aim of this thesis is to improve the control of urea injection at the combined power and heating plant Framtidens Gärstad (FTG). Tekniska Verken i Linköping AB is the owner of the plant.The FTG plant consists of a boiler where garbage combustion is done. From the combustion nitrogen oxides are emitted. These nitrogen oxides are hazardous to the environment. To reduce the nitrogen oxides, injection of urea into the boiler is used.

Aktivitetsbaserad kalkylering (ABC) är en kalkyleringsmetod som blev populärt under slutet av 80-talet och har sedan dess engagerat många forskare och praktiker. Konceptet växte allteftersom konsultbolag sålde implementeringar, mjukvara togs fram och vetenskapliga artiklar publicerades. Metoden kom dock att kritiseras för att vara komplex och resurskrävande och det skapades en bild av att det endast var stora företag som var lämpade att använda sig av metoden. På senare tid har studier gjorts som visat att mindre företag framgångsrikt kunnat implementera och använda sig av ABC och rekommendationer och riktlinjer för dessa har tagits fram. Vi finner dock en avsaknad på studier riktade mot mikroföretags tillämpande av ABC.

In order to reduce the price for, and improve the performance of automatic control systems for magnetization of synchronus generators, the possibilities of using a PC based software PLC system, Programmable Logic Controller, has been investigated. The result is a system based on the CoDeSys software PLC with runtime environment from 3S-Software, communicating with external units via Modbus fieldbus. System price is reduced from ?5000 to ?2000 and system processing speed is reduced from 10 ms for a Siemens S7 PLC to 4 ms with the CoDeSys PLC system though unsolved problems with runtime seizure caused by improper settings in the PC BIOS..

This master thesis deals with problems in the arc length control in Pulsed MIG/MAG Welding. The main problem is that it is not possible to measure the arc length. In the present solution the voltage over both the electrode and the arc represents the arc length. To improve the arc length control a model of the electrode melting has been built. One output from the model is the voltage over the electrode and with this voltage together with the measured voltage it is possible to calculate the voltage over just the arc.

En viktig aspekt vid e-handel är att kunden känner förtroende för e-handelsapplikationen och företaget. Denna rapport redogör för vilken inverkan multimediala inslag har för förtroendet av en e-handelsapplikation, vid initialt användande. En undersökning har genomförts med hjälp av en kooperativ utvärdering av fyra e-handelsapplikationer vilka innehåller olika typer av multimediala inslag har.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att multimediala inslag inverkar positivt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer. Däremot finns indikationer på att för hög grad av multimedialt inslag inverkar negativt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer..

Programmeringsspråket Javascript har sina brister som till exempel ingen riktigstruktur för Objektorienterad Programmering i jämförelse med andra språk.Detta är en frågeställning som skulle behöva en lösning. Kanske kan mananvända ett eller flera designmönster för att lösa detta.I avsnittet Teori visas en kort genomgång på tänkbara designmönster som kananvändas för att sedan välja ut maximalt tre av dessa och undersöka desssvagheter samt hur man kan förbättra det.Slutsatsen av rapporten är en övergripande Model-View-Controller där delarnakan ha olika designmönster som passar för den aktuella applikationen. Detdesignmönster som påminner mest om Objektorienterad Programmering som iandra språk är Revealing Module Pattern som är flexibel, enkel, har inkapslingoch publika respektive privata variablar och funktioner..

This rapport is result of a project. The purpose of which was to design a circuit that is used in a heat glove. The heat glove is the technical aid which provides heat inside a glove.It is specially suited for old people who have problems with cold hands because of decreased blood circulation.There already was an old circuit in the glove that gives a constant current which develops heat from battery to glove through a circuit. The temperature is between 32 and 34 degrees.The problem with the existing circuit was to regulate the temperature. There is only on/off switch and there is no way to adjust desirable value of the temperature.In order to solve the problem the old circuit was investigated.

Abstract   In this thesis, my aim was to investigate how preschool teachers view their involvement in children's free play. In order to answer this, I chose to do semi-structured interviews with four preschool teachers in three different preschools. My interviews has revealed similarities and support for as how history of research looks at the involvement of educationists. Both research and my results stresses the importance of being active in children's free play and to be a supportive teacher, particulary in conflict situations. For those children who have difficulty entering into the free game its the educationists task to co-play and help the children find the game.

During spring 2012, six students at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm carried out agroup project in the field of mechatronics as part of the thesis for the bachelor degree. The resultwas a robot with active balancing and the purpose of this report is to describe the development,manufacturing and problems that arose during the project. The finished robot has two wheelsmounted in line with each other, like a bicycle. Measurement data from an accelerometer and agyroscope are used together in a complementary filter for determining the angle from the verticalplane. For balancing, a PID controller was used to control the rotation of a reaction wheel, whenaccelerating causes a straightening torque.

Denna rapport tar upp hur ett företag eller en privatperson kan, genom A/B-testning, testa vilken transaktionstyp som är bäst för just deras applikation. Problemet är att det finns många olika transaktionstyper att välja mellan och att det inte finns något bra sätt att få fram vilket som är det bästa för just din applikation. För att försöka hitta den optimala transaktionstypen utnyttjades en testapplikation med olika transaktionstyper.

In Shop! Daniel Svensson is studying the Public Consume Conversation during the 90´s. Focus is based on two local papers in the Swedish town Norrköping and the Public Media Conversation, which these two represent. What kind of discourses has been dominating this conversation, that is the most important question in Shop! To answer this, Daniel Svensson uses the Critical Discourse Analysis, by Norman Fairclough, as an analytic tool. This method provides him with the possibility to connect the micro level of text with the macro level of the society. But this demands theories of the contemporary society at a macro level.
