The purpose of this thesis is to bring forward and discuss the American vision for space exploration found at NASA's homepage, how the vision is popularised and why. NASA's homepage is analyzed as popularized science and the theoretical perspective emanates from the field of popular science and especially the work of Johan Kärnfelt. The historical reference is made up by Howard E McCurdy and he's thoughts about space and the American imagination. The analysis is based on a number of documents that popularize the vision for space exploration and is intended for the public. These documents describe the future plan for NASA and US space exploration..

Detta examensarbete behandlar begreppet inlärningsstilar. Uppsatsen är en litteraturstudie där fyra forskare står i centrum: Rita Dunn, Michael Grinder, Eric Jensen samt Barbara Prashnig. Alla dessa fyra forskare har intressanta tankaromkring ämnet inlärningsstilar. Jag har valt att itta lite närmare på hur dessa fyra forskare förhåller sig till begreppen inlärning, inlärningsstilar samt inlärningssvårigheter. Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka min förståelse för hur elever lär sig.

The aim of the study was, through qualitative interviews with school counsellors in Swedish primary schools, to study what the counsellors are experiencing condition their ability to work proactively according to the Swedish Education Act provisions on student health. During the study, six interviews with school counsellors who worked in the same suburbs, was conducted. The theoretical approach that was used is Michael Lipsky's theory of street-level bureaucrats and the term discretion. The overall outcome of the study was that the interviewed school counsellors felt that they did not have good opportunities to work preventively as the Education Act requires. The main reason for this was the school counsellor?s heavy workload.

The aim of this study is to illuminate social worker?s perception of social class within the Swedish social service system. This study therefor examine if social class contributes to the production and reproduction of the client and what impact social class has on the interaction between client and social workers. The study was conducted with qualitative semi-structured interviews with social workers from three different departments of social service. The theoretical approach is Yeheskel Hasenfeld?s theory about moral practices in welfare organisations, Michael Lipsky and Roine Johansson?s theories about client construction and Pierre Bourdieu?s class theory.

Syfte: Studien syftar till att öka förståelse för hur reformen Hälsoval Skåne har påverkat såväl offentliga vårdenheter som privata aktörer och härigenom lyfta fram olika problematiska aspekter som upplevts. Metod: Kvalitativ metod, fallstudie. Empirisk analys: Studien visar bland annat på att det krävs en överrensstämmelse mellan de interna och externa faktorerna. Studien visar även att företagen inte kan forma sin strategi fritt utan att vissa faktorer måste tas i beaktande vilket går i linje med strategic fit och the design school. Vidare har även ett first mover advantage identifierats vilket i sin tur skapat barriärer likt de Porter beskriver i How competetive forces shape strategy. Ekonomiska aspekter har även identifierats vilka är av stor vikt för att överleva i hälsovalet men även olikheter beträffande konkurrenssituationen visar sin inverkan. Slutsatser: De aspekter som bland annat kan tänkas vara avgörande är företagets ekonomiska styrka samt omfattning av annan vårdverksamhet. Vidare visade det sig att uppstarten av Hälosval Skåne gav upphov till fördelar för de aktörer som var med från början..

The aim of this study was trough qualitative interviews with teachers and counsellors in Swedish schools, to study their experiences and perceptions of non suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents. During the study three teachers and three counsellors who worked in four different schools were conducted. The theoretical approach that was used is Michael Polanyis theory tacit knowledge. The outcome of the study was that schools did not seem to talk about NSSI as a problem and the teachers knowledge about it had come from own experiences meeting adolescents whit NSSI. The interviewed teachers and counsellors felt it hard to define NSSI, they mainly referred it to someone who cut themselves.

The study consist of an investigation regarding the implementation of reassurance policing in Sweden and include a survey conducted among some of the local police offices in Stockholm County. The aim of the study is to investigate how the police officers working in the local polices offices experience the implementation of the local police offices and if the implementation of local the polices offices matches the police authority´s purpose with the project. The study uses the theoretical framework from political scientist Michael Lipsky calledStreet-level bureaucracy - Dilemmas of the individual in Public services which discuss the role of street-level bureaucrats and their influence in the implementation. Included in the study is also two different perspectives on governing in public sector called top-down perspective and bottom-up perspective. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the media coverage of the case with Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson in the four biggest newspapers in Sweden in order to see how social constructions is created through the use of language. It is also of interest to see how nationality is represented in the material. The theory is based on Edward Said?s theory of post colonialism and the prejudices that has developed from the western way of viewing ?The orient?. It is also based on Richard Dyers theory on whiteness and binary oppositions, which shows how ?whiteness? is viewed as the norm and is also never questioned.The method is critical linguistics and based on Norman Fairclough and Michael Halliday.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the accessibility in public libraries for persons with dyslexia and visually impaired persons. In order to do this, library services, information and attitudes have been studied. Data have been collected through interviews and studies of documents, in particular guidelines for library service to disabled persons. The theoretical starting point of the analysis is Professor Michael Bucklands different aspects of access to information. He discusses six types of barriers that must be overcome if access is to be achieved.

An archaeological excavation that was made in 2016 of a Pitted Ware Culture settlement at Tr?s?ttra in the northern archipelago of Stockholm was very rich in artefacts and features. Especially unique was the over 300 fragments of clay figurines that were found. Never had so many been discovered at a neolithic place in Sweden. In Scandinavia it is only on the Finnish islands of ?land that similar figurines have been found. The aim of this study is to increase the understanding of the clay figurines of Tr?s?ttra and ?land through comparative studies.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att skapa ökad förståelse för medias roll i förmedlingen av begreppet CSR, corporate social responsibility. Med media menas i studien svensk papperstidning.Metod: Diskursanalys kring CSR i svensk tryckpress, inspirerad av Michael Foucault och Norman Fairclough, applicerad på nyhetsartiklar. I studien används ordet diskurs som en förklaring till att nyhetstexter påverkar den sociala verkligheten. CSR innebär företags sociala ansvar, kring frågor om bland annat miljö, som går utöver vad lagen kräver.Slutsatser: Analysresultatet visar att CSR i nästintill samtliga artiklar benämns synonymt med samhällsansvar, som alltså varit det mest dominerande området som behandlats i de artiklar som har analyserats. Det framkommer även att det finns skillnader i artiklarnas intertextualitet, beroende på vilken tidning de tillhör.

Before fighting corruption it is therefore necessary to find its roots and form. Furthermore, many countries aspire today for a better democracy but find visible barriers on their ways in a form of corruption i.a.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad bilderna i en tidning med yngre målgrupp förmedlar för budskap till läsaren. Den tidning som valts till undersökningen är Julia, vars målgrupp är tjejer i åldern 9?14 år.Med utgångspunkt i den övergripande frågeställningen: "Hur ser människorna ut på bilderna i Julia ? och vad förmedlar detta till läsaren?", genomförs en kvantitativ innehållsanalys utifrån 28 variabler. Totalt undersöks 1 245 bilder på människor i nio nummer av Julia från år 2000?2010.Uppsatsen utgår från teorier framförda av bland annat Jostein Gripsrud, Nina Huntemann och Michael Morgan, som avhandlar medias roll i barns skapande av identitet.Undersökningen visar att den typiska tjejen i Julia är ung, icke-blond, har europeiskt utseende, poserar, ler och tittar in i kameran.
