Bakgrund: Trauma är ett världsomfattande problem. I Sverige avlider 4500 personer årligen av traumarelaterade skador. Lennquist (2007) menar att denna siffra kan minskas vid optimerad organisation och förhöjd/förbättrad kompetens inom traumavård. Syfte: Att undersöka operationssjuksköterskors självskattade kompetens inom traumavård utifrån Landstinget Västmanlands kompetensutvecklings modell, baserad på Benners kompetens- och utvecklingsstadier. Metod: Deskriptiv analys av kvantitativ data.

Background: Mental illness is a growing public health problem which can cause significant disabilities and lead to poor quality of life. As primary care nurses often are the first to encounter these patients they need knowledge to be able to respond appropriately to this group.Aim: The aim was to describe how the sufferer of mental illness experiences the introduction to primary care. Method: The literature review was based on the results of 11 scientific articles which were analyzed with the inspiration of a metasynthesis method.Results: Four categories emerged: the experience of being treated like a human being, the importance of a therapeutic space, the experience of time and availability as well as the importance of competent personnel and the importance of continuity. Patients described different aspects deemed important when encountering nursing staff. Conclusion: Patients experienced that they received good care when they felt listened to and seen as individuals with their own thoughts and feelings.

The use of mindfulness in healthcare is increasing in Sweden. A so-called secular form of mindfulness is also increasing within mediated contemporary psychology and is used in many areas such as schools, workplaces and when giving birth. The method originates from Buddhism and is much more complex than the form of mindfulness marketed in Sweden today. The religious heritage of mindfulness is interesting to study in such a secular society as Sweden, where the material for this study is found. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate whether mindfulness still is a form of religious coping or if it has become completely secularized, and thus free of its religious origin.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva orsaker till sjuksköterskans trötthet.Metoden var en litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Data samlades in via databaserna Discovery och Medline/Pubmed och 17 artiklar inkluderades i resultatet.Resultatet visade att följande kan orsaka sjuksköterskans trötthet.?Känslomässig/empatisk utmattning?, ?arbetsrelaterad stress och hög arbetsbelastning? samt ?skiftarbete och sömnbrist?. Känslomässig/empatisk utmattning kan uppstå i omhändertagande av patient som till exempel när den vårdande inte kan hjälpa en person undgå skada. Stora dramatiska händelser samt mer dagliga situationer kan indirekt utsätta sjuksköterskan för upplevelse av trauma.

Mental träning har visat sig påverka det allmänna välbefinnandet hos poliser positivt. Grundläggande mental träning som består av olika avslappnings- och meditationsövningar är en effektiv metod när det gäller att förebygga och motverka stress samt återhämta sig. En del av den mentala träningen handlar om att visualisera, vilket innebär att man föreställer sig en inre bild eller situation av något som är stärkande för sig själv. Det kan vara att se sig själv lyckas i en situation man har framför sig. Med vår studie avser vi att undersöka hur visualiseringen tillämpas bland poliser på ordningsavdelningar.

Background:Patients with mental disabilities are more prone to somatic illnesses than the general public. Unhealthier lifestyles and side effects of medication might be causes of conditions that lead to diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and premature death. According to the Social Board patients with mental disabilities receive poorer treatment than patients with only somatic diagnosis.Aim:The aim of the study was to describe nurses' experiences to identify, assess and manage somatic symptoms and problems within the psychiatric care.Method:The study is based on interviews with 12 nurses working in psychiatric outpatient and inpatient care. A qualitative content analysis was chosen.Result:The nurses performed nursing through talking, blood sampling and measuring for example blood pressure. They followed up side effects of medication.

The flexibility of the labour market is considered as an instrument for increasing economic growth.Therefore has the use of flexible employment, also called atypical employment, increased. The atypical employment is characterized by insecurity in comparison with a traditional permanent full- time employment. One of the most common atypical employments is the manning employment, which is insecure whether it is permanent or not. Syfte:Att undersöka elitfotbollstränares användande av de idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna målsättning, visualisering, inre samtal, avslappning och refokusering för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match.Frågeställningar:Arbetar tränaren medvetet med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match? Hur och när arbetar tränaren med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter för sin egen förberedelse och för att bli mer effektiv i sin tränarroll i samband med match?Metod:Sex manliga tränare i åldern 36-57 år med erfarenhet som ansvarig tränare på elitnivå deltog i undersökningen. Semistrukturerad intervju har använts som metod för datainsamling. Frågor och följdfrågor i intervjun var inriktade mot de fem idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna i syftet, mot tre scenarion (före, under och efter match) och mot mental press.Resultat:Alla tränare är överens om att det finns en mental press på elittränare i fotboll i samband med match. Alla sex tränare arbetar med de fem idrottspsykologiska färdigheterna, men det är bara i 13 fall av 30 som tränaren svarar att han arbetar medvetet med idrottspsykologiska färdigheter.

AbstractThis essay is an investigation where I try to gain an increased knowledge of the three assistants? (in the mentally disability profession) opinion about their education and their first years in their profession. I have also tried to answer the questions whether the course mentally disability/functional gives the students a good start in their profession, if there are any flaws or if something is missing in the course or if they can think of any improvements to make the course better.This investigation is performed as a qualitative interview study where three women were interviewed about their education and their first years as assistants? (in the mentally disability profession). All the interviewed women have been working in the care activity for two or three years since they graduated.

The aim of this study is to examine which factors in the receiving-country that have had an influence on three now adult unaccompanied refugee children. The method used in the study is qualitative interviews with the three above-mentioned participants. The results show that some factors are perceived as helpful, having a positive influence on the participants life while other factors are perceived as worsening, having a negative influence on their life. Depending on the context some factors such as age, the Swedish language and housing arrangements have had both positive and negative influences on their life. Positive factors are among other things: access to good treatment and support, help with processing trauma and bad mental health, help with understanding coherence, access to a social network, family reunification, resilience and other internal factors.

SYFTE: Jag har i mitt yrke erfarit att många elever upplever skolan som stressande. Studier stöder denna iakttagelse och visar att för många tonåringar är skolan den i särklass största stressfaktorn. Vidare ökar stressrelaterade sjukdomar bland vuxna kraftigt. Detta gav mig en ide att inom skolans ram försöka agera preventivt och inspirerad av coachning och kognitiv beteendeterapi satte jag samman en kurs. Här undersökte jag huruvida träning i mental kompetens; kunskap om kroppens känslosystem, språk för känslor, stresshantering och problemlösningsstrategier, skulle kunna ge elever större känsla av beredskap för att hantera livet i ett modern komplext samhälle och därmed en högre livskvalitet.

Studiens syfte var att validera en modifierad svensk översättningav självskattningsskalan som mäter anhedoni, Snaith-Hamilton PleasureScale. Syftet var också att utforska relationen mellan anhedoni och fatigue,stress, mental trötthet respektive dagtrötthet. Studiens deltagare, 60universitetsstudenter, utgjorde en icke-klinisk grupp som rekryterades medbekvämlighetsurval. Den modifierade svenska översättningen av Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale uppvisade god intern konsistens, samt god konvergentvaliditet vid korrelation med anhedonirelaterade subskalor i Beck DepressionInventory. Vidare uppvisade Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale starkapositiva samband med Fatigue Impact Scale respektive Mental FatigueScale, men inte med The Perceived Stress Scale respektive Epworth SleepinessScale.

The aim of this masters thesis is to, from a queertheoretical point of view, examine the possibilities to classify the subject homosexuality in three different classification systems. The three systems that have been analysed is the Swedish classification system SAB, the Universal Decimal Classification UDC and Dewey Decimal Classification DDC. The analysed editions are updates from the beginning of the 1970´s until today. The emphasis has been on how well the systems correspond to the changing society. We found several differences between the three systems, but also some resemblances.
