Abstract The core is the center of gravity in our body. Injuries and overload in the joints, is the most common reason for not be able to work in Sweden today. A god strength capacity in the core is important for secure and effective movements, as well for active athletes, as for non athletes. The increased number of employees, who report in sick today, has been correlated with psychological bad health. New methods to deal with mental and physical health problems among people can indicate to the fact that Yoga in the western world has increased its members, due its spiritual and physical recognition in favor of well being.

Introduktion: Stroke är en folksjukdom som årligen drabbar cirka 30.000 svenskar. Det primära symtomet är muskulär svaghet som kan innebära paralys/pares och 70-90% av de drabbade får nedsatt motorisk funktion. Mental träning innebär att för sitt inre visualisera en rörelse utan ett motoriskt genomförande. Metoden har visat sig ge neuroplastiska förändringar samt ökad EEG- aktivitet i hjärnan. Studier har visat att visualisering, observation och exekution av rörelser aktiverar samma motoriska områden i hjärnan.

Trough a literature study based on both philosophic and objective fact this essay is taking off in the meaning of public space. It investigates how the information society and its virtual world are affecting the idea and use of public space in the city. The city and the actual world have developed from the traditional meeting between people while the virtual world is based on flows of information. The information flow has expanded through the Information and Communication Technique (ICT). ICT covers among others Internet, mobile phones and computers.

Free Space Optics (FSO) has received a great deal of attention lately both in the military and civilian information society due to its potentially high capacity, rapid deployment, portability and high security from deception and jamming. The main issue is that severe weather can have a detrimental impact on the performance, which may result in an inadequate availability. This report contains a feasibility study for an all-optical free-space link intended for short-range communication (200-500 m). Laboratory tests have been performed to evaluate the link design. Field tests were made to investigate availability and error performance under the influence of different weather conditions.

The main focal point of this study is about public libraries and its possible roles in today's society. Going from having had a clear educational orientation, public libraries has with time amassed several other roles, which all need to relate to the swedish law regarding libraries and other governing documents, as well as business plans. This thesis focus on a qualitative investigation, which was conducted through in-depth interviews with librarians and other staff at a public library in Stockholm, named bibliotek Plattan, to ascertain the prevailing opinions within this facility about the role of libraries and librarians. The choice of examine this particular library was based on the fact that bibliotek Plattan differs from the public library in general and only offers material for adults. Their collection of litterature is primarily based on fiction novels.

This is done by studying the regulation regarding time and space factors and the psychological contracts in expectations and in violation of the psychological contract and the risks associated with this like Locked-in factors. The study includes interviews with managers and employees (n=9).

Background: There has been a process of de-institutionalisation and mental health care re-forms in Sweden. Social services are, according to the law, responsible for helping persons with mental illness to live a life like others and to participate in the community. The aim of the study was to describe the culture in one of the social services adult day care center for social relations and activities in Stockholm. The aim was also to focus on the importance of the adult day care center for recovery and empowerment from the participants´ perspective. Methods Observations in the adult day care center were combined with four interviews with regular participants.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka möjligheten till att ta kontroll över min nervositet och atteffektivisera min instudering av Intrada av Arthur Honegger.Bakgrunden är att jag alltid har varit intresserad av att lära mig nya saker och vad jag har velat meddetta arbete är att utveckla min kompetens som trumpetare och det har jag gjort genom mentalträning. Samtidigt som jag har utnyttjat mental träning för att bli mer mottaglig för inlärning så harjag tränat mig i att hantera nervositet. Allt detta har jag gjort för att bli en bättre trumpetare.Min metod har varit att jag läst litteratur om minnesträning, mental förberedelse och ens egeninställning till att utvecklas inom ett område. Jag har sedan använt mig av övningar som jag hittat iböckerna, antingen som de är eller så har jag ändrat på dem för att passa mig och mitt syfte bättre.Arbetets konstnärliga del presenterades i form av en inspelning där jag spelar Intrada utanackompanjemang och jag valde att göra inspelningen utan ackompanjatör för att visa på hur minvardagliga övningssituation såg ut. Det ger dessutom en väldigt naken bild av hur jag spelat och detär lätt för åhöraren att höra vad som har fungerat bra och vad som jag inte har lyckats med.

I examine how relationships between people and objects are created and continues through contiguity every time one use or touch an object and through participation through use and memories. The aim is to continue a relationship and to keep a communication alive with people beyond time and space, then, now and henceforth. I take advantage of and transform the traces in an object that belonged to someone. Parallel I create new space for bodies to put their mark for the first time. I compare my work with the Nordic Museum's task to preserve the present for the future.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the high school textbook on religious studies differences in how Christian ethics and in what way it is presented in comparison with the presentation of Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism and it´s ethics. The analyzed material is textbooks from the late 1960s to the 2010s. Due to the survey´s nature the focus is first and foremost the chapters dealing with religious ethical issues and what amount of pages or space the different religions are given in the books. The results from the textbooks are compared with the curriculum that is or was effective during the time the books were published. This is done to determine whether there is a clear link between the books and the guidelines of the curriculum.

This two years master?s thesis takes interest in the concept of marketing related to the Children?s Library. The purposes have been to investigate the perception of marketing among a few librarians working at the Children?s Library in the Swedish region of Halland and further to analyse their perception of marketing in the daily work at the library. Eventually to analyse the consequences of these librarians approach to marketing related to their perception of the library?s mission.

AbstractAuthors: Mikael Gustafsson & Kristofer von WachenfeldtTitle: With help from people and cattle; to recover from mental illness in a rural environment [translated title]Supervisor: Kent-Inge PerseiusPurpose: The aim of this study was to examine feelings of recovery from mental illness in the perspective of individuals participating in Nymålen; a rural- situated facility focusing on recreation- and work- related interventions. The study took place outside of Oskarshamn, Sweden. The study focused on if, and in that case how, Nymålen contributes to recovery from mental illness. We were also interested in which factors affecting the recovery-process, as expressed by the participants themselves.Method: Eight individuals from Nymålen participated in individually performed semi- structured interviews. The collected data was then coded and categorized to enable further analysis by using Qualitative content analysis inspired by Graneheim & Lundman (2003).

Arbetets syfte var att utreda reliabilitet och validitet för en blickregistreringsutrustning, JAZZ?, som finns på FOI i Linköping. Dessutom skulle utredningen klargöra huruvida utrustningen kan användas till att detektera mental arbetsbelastning. Tre olika studier gjordes på 17 försökspersoner. Endast sackader i horisontalled studerades, trots att utrustningen har ett flertal andra mätområden.

The purpose with this essay is to examine if the Swedish government?s intentions regarding to the mental health care reform, have been fulfilled. We have classified the intentions into three categories, regulation, financing and responsibility for organizing the policy. The intentions have then been compared with the results of the reform.Our theoretical framework starts with a model, developed by Evert Vedung (1998). We use this model as a tool to examine the fulfillment of the mental health care reform.
