The research objective of this thesis was to conduct a holistic evaluation of an operational information system. By holistic evaluation we mean that an equal focus was placed on both the system system perspective and its users user perspective, in the actual environment where the system and its users function contextuality. In addition, the methodological objective of the study was to test a new research approach in a real life setting. The participants of the study were twenty newspaper journalists employed at Göteborgs-Posten GP. The information system NewsLink is a manually indexed full-text database containing all articles published in GP since 1994.

It is a human right to be treated equally and fairly no matter whom you are, what you like or where you are from. The United Nations addressed the important aspects of equally treatment in their declaration of the human rights. It is each conventions state?s responsibility to fulfil all the rights in the declaration. This study focuses on three Swedish county administrative organizational works with the human rights from their annual reports from 2014.

CI-metoden är en ny behandlingsmetod för barn och ungdomar med CP-hemiplegi. Metoden innebr att man genom en restrikion på den intakta armen och handen främjar rörelse i den hemiplegiska armen oc handen i syfte att förbättra användningen av den armen och handen i dagliga aktiviteter.Syftet med litteraturstudien är att beskriva CI-metoden och dess effekter på funktions- och aktivitetsförmåga hos barn och ungdomar med CP-hemiplegi.För att få svar på studiens syfte och frågeställningar gjordes en systematisk litteraturstudie som baseras på vetenskapliga artiklar om effekter av behandling med CI-metoden på barn och ungdomar med hemiplegi till följd av en CP-skada. Studien baseras på sammanlagt 12 artiklar, varav 11 studier från åren 2001-2006 och en studie från 1997. Artiklara är sökta i AMED, Cinahl samt Medline.Resultatet visar att barnen och ungdomarna genom behandling med CI-metoden gjorde förbättringar i både funktions- och aktivitetsförmåga. Många av de förbättringar som gjorts under behandlingen kvarstod även vid uppföljningen, fyra veckor till sex månader senare.

Researchers, planners, and government agencies agree that road safety for children must be a priority and in particular that children should have a safe and secure way to travel to and from school regardless of age or the distance travelled. In Sweden, child traffic safety is a key part of the country?s Nollvision, a long-term traffic policy goal of ?no deaths or serious injuries?. Unfortunately, many countries have recorded increases in child traffic accidents as the percentage of parents who drive their children to school and thus congestion around schools has increased. Common strategies include traffic safety education for children, the redesign and improvement of traffic infrastructure, bicycle training, and carpooling.This thesis assesses the traffic problem around Ludvigsberg School in the district Valbo in Gävle, Sweden.

The aim of this essay is to study the importance of team organisation of teachers? learning of teaching and learning and to find out different obstacles and possibilities.I carried out the study at a schooldistrict in a community in the south of Sweden. Data was collected by group interviews and document studies. To get all kinds of teachers, from pre-school to year six, in the groups the sample was made by the headmaster of the schooldistrict. Since it is a case study the findings can not be considered as general, but they can hopefully contribute the pedagogical discussion and future research.The findings show that there exists a difference between the expectations on policy level on the one hand and on the team level on the other hand.

The purpose of this master thesis is to show how a chosen actor in form of the Swedish union organization IF Metall (the Swedish union for metal- and industrial workers) works with pro-reading activities. The project being scrutinized is the Read to me dad-project which aims at fathers who are not used to reading activities within the LO-group (the Swedish Trade Union Confederation). The methods used are interviews and literary studies. The theoretical background of my discussion is based on three education ideals. The neo-humanist ideal emphasizes the personal improvement through literature.

I den svenska vården drabbas uppskattningsvis var tionde patient av en vårdskada, det vill säga en undvikbar skada direkt orsakad av vården (Socialstyrelsen, 2008; Ödegård, 2007). Vårdskador ska registreras som avvikelser som sedan ska analyseras för att finna orsak och ligga till grund för förbättringsarbete (Socialstyrelsen, 2008). Syftet med studien är att beskriva innehållet i de patientavvikelser som registrerats av personal på sjukhus. Innehållet beskrivs avseende vilka händelser som registrerats och vårdpersonalens beskrivningar av händelseförloppet. Studien innehåller både kvalitativa och kvantitativa delar.

The industrial sector accounts for a large share of greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce its negative impact on the environment is crucial in the quest for a sustainable future. In discussions of the industrial sector's impact on the environment guidelines have been highlighted as a tool to assist the industries in their efforts to change the relationship between the consumption of energy and production. This by improving energy efficiency and a shift to the best available technology. During the past 30 years the steel industry has reduced its energy consumption per ton of steel produced by 50 percent.

The Swedish healthcare system is characterized by lack of resources and extensive hospital queues. In order to counter these difficulties the Lund University Hospital have introduced Lean Healthcare to the hospital organization. The purpose of this scientific paper is to study the relationship between the implementation of Lean Healthcare and the experienced motivation among the staff. This essay thereby intends to impart knowledge, which could be used on future implementations of Lean Healthcare at other hospitals. In order to fulfil the purpose of this essay a case study have been conducted at two wards at the Lund University Hospital in which qualitative research interviews have been the method chosen in order to gather data.

Ökad kunskap och kännedom om sin organisations prestanda är något som alla företag eftersträvar. Att kunna prediktera vilka resurser ett utvecklingsarbete kräver är en förutsättning för att kunna genomföra ett bra offertarbete. Dessutom krävs prestandakännedom för att kunna sätta mål för det interna målstyrningsarbetet. Kännedomen uppnås genom ett etablerat mätsystem, som innefattar insamlande och användande av mätdata, det är inom detta område som vårat examensarbete har sitt fokus. Närmare bestämt belyses framgångsfaktorer vid implementationen samt hur användandet av mätdata bör gå till.

Swedish school has for the last decades been using quality management as a method for improvement. Quality management is an enormous work and the whole school staff needs to be involved. The management consists of several parts like planning, surveys and interviews, analysis of the replies and setting up new goals. Parents, children and teachers are nowadays accustomed with quality surveys. The last few years these quality surveys have been computerized, but they still look almost the same, using little interaction with the respondent.I have had the opportunity to work with the company KMF Ventures, which has a vision that entails a more interactive web survey.

Mapping a process enables a greater understanding of the work, and is standard to evaluate and improve a process. This thesis is conducted at Test Bed Mechanical Design at Scania in Södertälje. Test Bed Construction is a complex process, characterized by a large amount of creative work, technical challenges and coordination between different people and different organizational functions.The aim of the thesis was to identify the Test Bed Construction Process and to develop a visual model of the workflow that also served as support for the engineers in their daily work. During the mapping process, comparisons were made with previous research in lean product development to identify process improvement.A literature review on process mapping and process visualisation resulted in a method for process mapping. The study showed that research on process visualisation is neither structured nor well defined.

The acquisition process as an object for research and empirical studies have increased in importance during the past decade. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate this process further. This was done by reviewing previous research covering the area of mergers and acquisitions. Seven key factors that should be considered in an acquisition process emerged; acquisition project management, planning, communication between the acquirer and the potential target, goal alignment within management, company-cultures, a trade-off between a certain speed in integrating the companies and consideration of the employees, and finally the follow-up. These factors have been shown to increase the likelihood of value creation in acquisitions.

Vi har upprättat ett sammarbete med Skanska Sverige AB, arbetet går ut på att bidra med en ökad förståelse för hur kostnaderna kan minimeras i byggproduktionen. Det här området arbetar Skanska ständigt med för att lösa frågan. De vill att vi studenter ska med nya ögon sätta oss in i problemet och studera området genom nya perspektiv.Byggproduktionen har en mängd poster man kan ta hänsyn till och arbeta med för att hitta möjligheter till att sänka totalkostnaden. Vilka är dessa poster och vilka besparingar kan man finna?Syftet är att hitta de poster som leder till höga produktionskostnader. Arbetet tar fram rekommendationer och förslag till minimering av arbetsplatsomkostnaderna.De metoder vi använder för att hitta de poster utgår från intervjuer, observationer och analys av produktionskalkyler.

SammanfattningI denna studie har FRAM-samarbetet stått i fokus. FRAM är ett interkommunalt skolutvecklingssamarbete som har pågått i några kommuner i en av storstadsregionerna . Syftet har varit att genom intervjuundersökningar belysa hur FRAM bidragit till kvalitetsförbättring och skolutveckling i de utvärderade skolorna. Utgångspunkten för denna studie har varit att undersöka i vilken grad två aktörer i ledningsnivå, nämligen förvaltningschefer och rektorer, har uppfattat FRAM?s bidrag och på vilket sätt de anser att den lett till kvalitetsförbättring.Studien är en kvalitativ forskningsstudie där förvaltningschefer och rektorer har blivit intervjuade med utgångspunkt från ett ramfaktorteoretiskt perspektiv.
