Social media have become a bigger and bigger aspect of daily life for many ages and especially within the youth culture growing from digital interactions. At the same time libraries seems eager to use this medium to reach out to the youth to inform and to educate. But do we know enough about how these two groups? views each other to be effective at this work? And is it even something that is wanted? What?s the image of social media from their point of view?The goal of this study is to investigate the image of social media from the point of view of two groups, librarians and youth. The study is based on a qualitative approach with a random selection of candidates.

Income support is granted to those who are not by themselves or in any other way able toachieve a decent standard of living. Assessment of entitlement to income support is based onan individual evaluation and equal treatment (Kjellbom, 2009). Administrators of economicaid should therefore not judge clients differently depending on, for example, gender. The aimof this study was to commence from a gender perspective in understanding howadministrators of economic aid think of equality and inequality between the sexes whenheterosexual couples apply for income support. Based on this objective we arrived at twomain formulations of questions; how administrators of economic aid deliberate aroundequality and inequality between sexes in connection to applications for financial support, aswell as which variables in organisations sustain or discourage inequalities between genders inaid management.

Podcast är ett nytt medieformat som har vuxit snabbt det senaste decenniet, i toppen bland de svenska podcasterna ligger ?Filip och Fredriks podcast? med Filip Hammar och Fredrik Wikingsson. Podcast är ett relativt billigt och enkelt medium som gör det möjligt att nå ut till en potentiellt global publik. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att med hjälp av samtalsanalys belysa specifika egenskaper hos podcasten jämfört med traditionell radio som här representeras av pratprogrammet ?Gerts värld? med Gert Fylking och Kim Kärnfalk.Jag kommer även använda mig av David Hendys teorier för hur radio program är strukturellt uppbyggda och applicera dem på mitt material för att se på likheter och skillnader mellan radio och podcast.

This Degree project is a study about the Mortgage Cap, introduced in October of 2010, and its impact on the demand for rented apartments. The mortgage cap was introduced to decrease the households? loan-to-value ratio and thereby increase their economical resistance during times of financial instability.The past ten years Swedish households have continuously increased their average loan-to-value ratio. In an attempt prevent this negative development Finansinspektionen introduced a mortgage cap stating that banks should no longer grant mortgages corresponding to more than 85 percent of the property?s market value.In order to answer the main question two methods were used both a survey and two interviews.

This essay is part of a project between Södertörn University College and Stockholm Academic Forum. The focus of the project is gender equality in small- and medium sized companies. I have worked with a construction company called Activa . The majority of the employees at the company were male and I was interested in the consequences of gender construction in such an environment. I think that the basic condition for equality work is an understanding of gender and the male norm.

A one-cylinder research engine has been used for studies with a Diesel Dual Fuel concept (DDF). DDF is a concept that utilizes a pilot diesel injection to ignite a homogenous natural gas/air mixture. Emissions and engine efficiency have been analyzed in an emission cycle called European Stationary Cycle (ESC) and the knock/pre-ignition problems with this type of engine have been investigated.At low and mid torque levels, an early diesel injection around 60 crank angles degrees (CAD) before top dead center (TDC) was used. At these loads raw NOxemissions was below EURO 6 level (0.2 g/kWh). NOxwas at EURO 5 level over the complete ESC without after treatment and with SCR at high loads it should be possible to reach EURO 6.One issue with DDF is the high HC emission levels.

Uppsatsen handlar om de faktorer som gör att vi engagerar oss för karaktärer i film och huruvida de är de samma för dataspel. Syftet med uppsatsen är att testa en teori av Murray Smith som gäller filmkaraktärer och se om den går att använda även när man tittar på dataspel. Den exakta frågeställningen i uppsatsen är som följer: Murray Smith har skapat en teori för hur engagerande karaktärer skapas i film. Hur pass applicerbara är hans teorier för engagerande karaktärer när det kommer till ett annat visuellt medium som dataspel? Måste teorin tillämpas annorlunda? Är andra aspekter av teorin viktigare i det nya mediet?I uppsatsens teoribakgrund tas teoriinriktningar som bland annat semiotik och psykoanalys upp och förklaras.

I ett försök av mig att ge spelmediet samma sorts behandling som många andra medier före det har jag valt ut fyra spel inom två olika genrer för en analys av deras handling, karaktärer, estetik och gameplay. Handlingen summeras enligt reglerna för narrativt berättande och en semiotisk infallsvinkel används sedan för att leta efter saker, tecken, som är värda att tas upp för analys i alla fyra kategorierna. Vissa jämförelser görs mellan spelen, främst inom kategorierna estetik och gameplay, först inom samma genre och sedan genrerna emellan för hitta likheter och skillnader i sättet spelutvecklarna har valt att utmana spelaren och göra spelen roliga att spela och hur de har valt att förmedla spelens handling. De utvalda spelen är Capcoms Devil May Cry 3: Dante?s Awakening, Sony Computer Entertainment Americas God of War, Konamis Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty och Ubisofts Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Radio är en av många plattformar och arenor där offentlig debatt kan äga rum. Och just som medium når radio ut till en stor mängd människor. Med den bredden kommer även ett stort ansvar. Ett ansvar, inte minst för kanalerna på Sveriges radio, för att förse medborgarna med korrekt information så att publiken kan skapa egna uppfattningar om samhälleliga fenomen och problem. Med detta i ryggen tycker vi att det är både intressant och relevant att kika närmare på Sveriges radio, och specifikt på programmet P1 Debatt.

During the last years, producers and consumers have become increasingly aware of food safety. Foodborne illness and foodborne injury are in best case unpleasant but they can also be fatal. HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is a preventative food safety system which is aimed to guarantee production of safe food free from pathogens, foreign materials and substances with potential to cause adverse health effect. In order to succeed in developing, installing, monitoring and verifying a HACCP system, there is a mix of hurdles for the company to overcome. While larger food companies meet a difficult challenge, small and medium size enterprises often feel that the hurdles are almost impossible to manage.

The purpose of this qualitative study has been; how social bonds are interlaced between the social worlds contained within the analytical division of ?outside Internet? and ?within Internet?. What happens with the social bond as the individual oscillate between this analytic bisection? This purpose raises important questions of the use of Internet in everyday life.A new stance is taken toward studying the Internets integration into everyday life. The focus is adjusted to the importance of emotions.

Computer and videogames has increased rapidly over the past few decades and today a majority of the Swedish population enjoys them on a daily basis. When there are many users, it becomes important how the media chooses to portray the medium because it can affect how the society judges and looks at computer- and videogames.The purpose of this essay is to look at how the portrayal of computer- and videogames has changed in Swedish Newspapers during the period 1994-2014. How the player is being portrayed is also relevant. The method was the discourse analysis founded by Laclau andMouffe and the material was chosen from the two biggest newspapers in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet. Theories that were used in the analysis were mainly framing, cultural studies, moral panics and theories based on gender.The result shows that there has been different kinds of portrayals of computer- and videogames from the beginning, though it was mostly negative in 1994 and 2004.

I denna undersökning studeras hur den svenska, enspråkiga lexikografinutnyttjar de möjligheter som följer med att ordböcker publiceras påInternet. Nationalencyklopedins ordbok, som är en stor, svensk nutidsordbokpå nätet, undersöks ur två perspektiv, dels det lexikografiska,vars tyngdpunkt ligger på hur väl ordboken är anpassad till det nyamediets förutsättningar, dels användarperspektivet, som fokuserar på hurden befintliga nätordboken fungerar som språkverktyg för användaren.Av undersökningen framgår att den undersökta svenska nätordbokenskulle ha kunnat användaranpassas bättre i övergången från pappersordboktill nätordbok. Framför allt handlar det om att ordboken inteutnyttjar mediets möjligheter fullt ut och heller inte har anpassats efterde nya förutsättningar som nätpubliceringen innebär. Det finns klarabrister i tillgänglighet till läsanvisningar och instruktioner, och ävenhänvisningar i form av länkar skulle kunna användas i högre grad.Beträffande sökhjälp är servicen till användaren bättre, men jämförelsermed den danska nätordboken Den Danske Ordbog avslöjar att det även idetta avseende finns alternativa lösningar som kan förenklainformationssökningen ytterligare.Slutsatsen blir att den svenska nätordboken inte helt har hunnitanpassa sig till den nya tekniken, men att utvecklingen sannolikt går motökade tekniska kunskaper hos användarna och större fokus påanvändarvänlighet hos nätordböckerna..

Purpose: The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the profitability of Momentum Strategies on the Nordic stock markets. This will provide insight and contribute to the debate on efficient markets. Finding profitable Momentum Strategies will provide strong evidence of inefficiency in the market. A secondary purpose is to examine factors which might cause or impact the profitability of the Momentum Strategy. We will look closely at the relationship between the profitability and factors such as risk (CAPM-beta), market capitalization, trading volume and seasonality.
