ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.

Abstract The planning of landscapes and towns has changed from a top-to-bottom perspective, including a focus on common interests, towards an inclusion of dialogue between planners and inhabitants of the planning area. In the countryside areas there are many interests which could be incorporated in such a dialogue. Still, the landowners have the final right to make the decisions for his or her property. The purpose of this paper is to examine how a dialogue for countryside development works and could be working, what participators of such dialogues are thinking about their right to direct and transform the landscape, and which roles the planners may take in such a context. With this background in mind, I also look back into the history with the intention to understand the situation of today.

Honey is a product that may contain pesticide residues due to contamination from bees pollinating various plants as well as elimination of vermin inside the hive. Different methods are needed for analysis of pesticides, since the term includes a wide range of different substances. National Food Administration lacks a validated method for determination and quantification of pesticides in honey using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, LC-MS/MS. The technique is especially important in analysis of polar and non-volatile pesticides, where gas chromatography is not functioning optimally. After investigating what pesticides could be found in honey produced in Sweden, a number of four pesticides suitable for analysis with LC-MS/MS was compiled; boscalid, impidacloprid, tau-fluvalinate and thiacloprid.

This study evaluates the retention of nitrogen and phosphorus in four newly constructed wetlands in the municipality of Falkenberg, Sweden. The four wetlands have been selected because they have been specifically constructed with the aim to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus in farming areas. The process of selecting the specific wetlands has been done in collaboration with the county administration in Halland. Through field studies in collaboration with the landowners where the wetlands are sited, the areas that provide the wetlands with water were determined. The size of these drainage areas were determined in a GIS computer program. The type of land use within the drainage areas was also determined.

Rapporten behandlar utvecklandet av ett generellt bokningssystem för att tillåta att användare bokartider hos en kund via en webbsida. Systemet ska också ha stöd för att automatiskt kunna generera faktureringsunderlagför att underlätta kundens administration av bokningar. För att bättre förstå vilkenfunktionalitet ett generellt bokningssystem behöver, har Vikbolandets ryttarförening använts som modellkund.Utvecklingen har lett fram till ett generellt bokningssystem som kan anpassas för att ha samma funktionalitetsom det system Vikbolandets ryttarförening tidigare använt sig av. Introduktion: Hypertoni är ett stort och utbrett hälsoproblem världen över. Det krävs följsamhet i läkemedelsbehandlingen för att minska risk för hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar, stroke samt renala sjukdomar. Omvårdnadsteoretikern Orem har sin teoretiska grund i egenvården. Enligt Orem är relationen mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten avgörande om sjuksköterskan skall kunna hjälpa patienten. Syfte: Syftet är att med utgångspunkt från Orems egenvårdsteori sammanställa aktuell forskning rörande faktorer som förbättrar följsamhet till läkemedelsbehandling hos patienter med hypertoni.

Syftet med min undersökning är att utvärdera tillämpbarheten av metoden FA/SIMM.
