Att anpassa sig som attraktiv arbetsgivare : En kvalitativ studie gjord på uppdrag av en mindre kommun hur de arbetar för att vara en attraktiv arbetsgivare

In recent years it has become way more important for organizations to use their brand to market themselves as an employer. In a market where organizations are competing for labor it has been known that the brand can make it possible for organizations to differentiate themselves as unique and attractive place of work. The concept is called Employer Branding and if an organization wants to suceed they have to have a clear and defined structure. The concept is well known among private organizations and not as common with the public sector. The purpose of this study was to examine how a small municipality in northern Sweden is working to be an attractive employer.

Kriminalvårdares hantering av känslor ur ett genusperspektiv

Denna studie syftar till att ge en beskrivning av hur manliga och kvinnliga kriminalvårdare på en anstalt hanterar känslor i sin yrkesroll. Vidare hur manliga och kvinnliga kriminalvårdare hanterar de intagnas känslor och sina egna känslor? Finns det några skillnader i känsloarbetet ur ett könsperspektiv och om det finns, vilka är skillnaderna? Utefter studiens syfte valdes en kvalitativ forskningsansats som utgångspunkt. Studien innehåller sex intervjuer med tre manliga och tre kvinnliga kriminalvårdare. Insamlingen av empiriskt material skedde genom semistrukturerade intervjuer.

Earlier research has shown that young and adult citizens in Europe participate in politics in different ways. While adult citizens participate in more traditional ways, non-traditional ways are more frequent among younger citizens. Moreover, issue-based participation increases when Europeans turn away from mainstream politics. Citizens in the European Union EU-15 between 15-24 ages are likely to be ?critical? citizens of a working democracy compared to people in older ages (Sloam, 2016).

To meet the needs and demands of the costumer, accurate information about how much is available in stock is necessary. When the information in the system does not match the physical inventory, inventory inaccuracy occurs. Inventory inaccuracy is common among companies and may contribute to increased labor cost, excess inventory, production disruptions, waste of time, late deliveries, poor service and lost customers.The purpose of this study is to identify contributing factors to inventory inaccuracy for business with outdoor storage. The study also aims to investigate how efficiency factors can reduce the inventory inaccuracy for business with outdoor storage.A case study was conducted to answer the purpose. A company in the steel industry was chosen to examine inventory inaccuracy on business with outdoor storage.

Då internrevision utförs finns det tre deltagande parter, beställaren, den som utför tjänsten och mottagaren. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att kartlägga och analysera om intrycket av internrevision för de som är mottagare stämmer överens med den nya definitionen av internrevision. För att besvara syftet har fyra olika aktörer intervjuats. Personliga intervjuer har genomförts med bankcheferna på de fyra storbankerna i Luleå: Handelbanken, Nordea, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken och Swedbank. Resultaten som framkom av studien visar att de aktörer som intervjuats upplever internrevision väl överrensstämma med den nya definition som Institute of Internal Auditors antog 1999.

Evertiles : All you need is tiles!

Evertiles är ett spel producerat av Olle Lundahl, Liselotte Heimdahl, Tobias Oldegren och Dan Sjödahl. Vårt mål med spelet var att vi ville göra ett onlinespel centrerat kring att spelaren skulle samla på saker och att spelare skulle mäta sina prestationer mot varandra för att se vem som är bäst. Grundidéen var att vi skulle ha en färdig spelvärld där spelare skulle gå runt och döda monster för att få saker. Idéen utvecklades snart till att vi skulle ha en värld som skapade sig själv genom slumpmässig generering, och med andra spelelement som innebar att det skulle finnas mer att göra än att döda monster. I slutprodukten finns en potentiellt, näst intill, oändlig värld och möjligheter för spelarna att bygga egna städer.

Ett samhällsengagemang som Skapar Shared Value - En studie om hållbarhetsstyrning och Creating Shared Value i en svensk kontext

This study investigates the corporate sustainability activity, linked to the company's core business, which is a relatively unexplored field in a Swedish context. The study examines how the organization has used management control for its sustainability activity within two social initiatives; and whether these initiatives have generated value for the organization and involved stakeholders. Management control of social initiatives are examined within the theoretical framework of The Sustainable Balanced Scorecard and the organization's value creation contributions are outlined in accordance with a definition of the concept of Creating Shared Value. The method used for the implementation of the study is a qualitative study, embodied in an illustrative case study of a large Swedish company operating within financial sector. The empirical data was collected through 12 in-depth interviews with representative interviewees within the organization and with other stakeholders involved in the company's social initiatives.

Det dolda arbetet för utsatta kvinnor : De professionellas upplevelser av arbete med utsatta kvinnor

Assignments and organizations working with exposed women are more and more common in the Swedish society. Both authorities and nonprofit organizations are working actively to strengthen women?s position in the labor market through incentives and other measures. The study shows that the work with exposed women takes place in cooperation between the parties involved. The purpose of this qualitative study was to look into how the professionals were working with exposed women, in different types of organizations.

Förväntningsgapet : Vad revisionsinsatsen i HQ Bank innebär för förväntningsgapet

Problem: That the stakeholder?s expectations don´t answer to what auditors can and may do have been a problem for several years. This problem was defined for the first time by Liggio at 1974. Since 1974 there have been several researches about the expectation gap for auditors.Purpose: The purpose of our study is to research what the audit effort in HQ Bank means for the expectation gap.Theory: The theories in our study discuss the audit profession, the definition of the expectation gap, how trust develops between individuals, the regulations that the authorities discuss and a review of earlier researches in this subject.Method: We have done a qualitative study in which we interviewed approved auditors at PwC and Convensia in addition we interviewed the chief lawyer at the Swedish financial supervisory authority to answer our purpose.Conclusions: The conclusion of our study is that the expectation gap exists between the auditors and the stakeholders. Another conclusion is that the incidents in HQ Bank have influenced the expectation gap in a negative direction, to reduce the expectation gap we suggest that adjustments of the regulations must be done and that the auditors themselves must inform their stakeholders what auditors can and may do..

It used to be a demand that Social workers and personnel at Child and adolescence psychiatry had interdisciplinary collaboration, today it is more then a demand it is a requirement. The aim of this study was to understand how the personnel at the Social services and Child and adolescence psychiatry look at the cooperation between the two organizations in Sweden.To be able to accomplish this study we have interviewed four persons employed at the Social services and three persons employed at Child- and adolescencepsychiatry all of them were interviewed individually. To be able to analyze our material from the interviews we have used new institutional organization theory and Goffmans dramaturgic perspective at teams. The interviews showed that there is collaboration between the organizations on all levels, but that the organizations have different priorities.

The purpose of the following essay has been to identify four men?s momentums of their volunteer access to treatment for their disruptive gender-based violence. The questions that have been asked in the entrance of this field have been divided into the following questions: (i) is it possible to identify the processes of change that leads to turning points into the interviewed men's treatment of violence, (ii) how do the interviewed men, themselves, reflect on their turning points into treatment, and (iii) are there other, implicit, interpretations and analyzes of men's access into treatment that I can discern in their stories? As a point of departure of the analysis one theoretical perspective has been used to explain and analyze men?s access to treatment, the sociological life course perspective, focusing on the concept of turning points.The method to approach this field has been qualitative interviews with a life story oriented approach which means that, focus has been to let the four interviewed men describe their lives from early childhood to their adulthood and from their histories identify contingent processes to their access of treatment. The study resulted in a division of two parts, one part consisting the processes that have been identified by the men?s stories of present tense of violent outbursts.

Förstudier av kommersiella fastigheter : En analys av arbetssätt ur ett projektledarperspektiv

This thesis is written at WSP management and investigates the practice of pre-project planning and feasibility studies at Swedish construction companies, through the study of the ongoing feasibility study of the mall Sturegallerian in Stockholm, and through interviews with experienced project managers in the construction industry. There is currently a big span in the way Swedish construction companies plan the pre-project phase and the aim of this thesis is to present a more generic and standardized way that helps minimize project risks and maximize efficiency and profit. The result is a generic model which can be used in pre-project planning. The model describes the phases in the preproject planning process and the activities that span these phases. Is also describes the categories of professions that need to participate in the preproject planning group and which activities that each profession executes. The other result is a list of factors that need to be considered for a well performed pre-project phase, as found during the interviews. Among others the thesis stresses the importance of involving the client as a key participant in the process.

Utvärdering av visuella observatörer förhålkameror och panoramakameror

SammanfattningExamensarbetet är utfört vid Fujita laboratory på Tokyo Institute of Technology.Detta examensarbete beskriver teori och bakgrund av en visuell observatör somhar forskats på vid Fujita laboratory.Att använda visuella sensorer, det vill säga kameror, kan bland annat hjälparobotar att agera autonomt i okända och i dynamiska miljöer. Syftet med envisuell observatör är att estimera ett objekts position i förhållande till robotensamt hur objektet och roboten rör sig gentemot varandra, med hjälp av bildensom fås från kameran.Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att studera teorin bakom observatören ochhur den anpassas till två olika kameror, en hålkamera och en panoramakamera.Fokus har legat på att utvärdera observatörerna experimentellt samt jämföra deolika kamerorna. Observatören för de båda kamerorna modelleras och simulerassedan och testas slutligen experimentellt. Examensarbetet innefattar även denbildbehandling som behövs för att göra experimenten möjliga att genomföra.I slutet av examensarbetet jämförs observatörerna för de olika kamerorna medavseende på korrekthet i estimering, robusthet mot parameterosäkerheter samtkänslighet för störningar.Resultaten visar att observatören för panoramakameran är känsligare förstörningar än den för hålkameran. Resultaten visar också att observatören förhålkameran är känsligare för parameterosäkerheter.

Arbete över företagets gränser : En studie av organisationstillhörighet för konsulter i bemanningsföretag

Since the late 1900s, the consultancy has taken a firm grip on the labor market. The consultants' work profile has been secured through agreements such as guaranteed wages. The collective has been shattered as well as higher demands are required of the employee. This results in higher work demands, workload, a reduced staffing resource and hopeless wages which can lead to health problems and depressions. Previous research shows that consultants find it stressful to be associated with two companies and some clients can also point out consultant through different attributes.
